Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Order: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

2. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

3. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

4. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

5. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

6. Reporting & Analytics: Share your ideas to improve or enhance Clover's reporting functionality.

  1. I would like a way to price items including tax. My example is I charge $4.50 for an item "including tax". Our sales tax is 6%. If I set the price for 4.24 w/.25 tax, it comes to 4.49. If I set price for 4.25 w/.26, tax it comes to 4.51. Is there a way to do that or possibly in the future? Thanks!

  2. We would like a way to run a sales report for each QR code or payment link that we make so we can see a total amount of sales for each thing.

  3. please reinstate the ability to edit an item or group of similar items with out requiring to re-search each time you save. new update changed this, before item would stay available to updates on similar items. new update resets the inventory field when saved and requires you to search for similar items again

  4. Clover Dashboard settings should be mirrored on the Clover Devices.

    An admin should be able to make changes to all device settings from the device or from the dashboard.

    You should not have to log into the dashboard to make device setting change.

  7. On Clover.com, in the Sales Activity > Transactions section, Payments, Voids, Manual Refunds, Refunds and Authorizations are all broken up into seperate sections. For reconciliation purposes, my merchant is manually exporting Payments, then Refunds, then Voids and stitching those three exports together. Hoping that these broken up sections will all be better integrated into a single section in the future. This is also a gap between Payeezy and Clover. Payeezy put all the various transaction types into a single screen, and exportable report.

  8. Please make the items on the Due shows the photos which makes it much much easier and faster to navigate the menu for the staff

  9. There should be a way to import customers from a different POS system and be able to include their balance. We have may customers that have items on layaway, or money on their account - and there is no way to get that information into Clover.

  10. Clover dashboard asks for "full name" and "nickname" and states directly underneath that line that the "nicknames will be printed on receipts," but that isn't the case. To protect our staff we need the Nicknames function to actually work.

  12. All Devices including duo,mini,flex. It would help a lot if the order receipt printed out with the items price, as of right now when you make an order and sve it the receipt prints out with all the info except the price of the items.

  13. I am needing to be able to turn the printer option off when each order comes through online. I don't need each order printed since to me that is a waste of paper and for my business we look each order up in our system. We don't need the paper version printed. (i'm not a restaurant)

    Also, I don't need to allow customers to schedule a pickup time/day. Is there a way to hide that feature or turn it off?

  15. We have business for customers we want to retrieve. Right now we can only get FirstName LastName which isn't useful for businesses.

  16. It would be nice if an image can be duplicated along with item details. xxxxx does this with a set of check boxes that show up when you select "duplicate" .

  17. Enhancement for Clover Gift Card App --

    When setting up the Clover Gift Card App, enable on-screen prompts for the user so that it prevents them from setting up a secondary gift card entitlement number, causing unnecessary impact to the user. Potential probing prompts on screen, such as:

    1. Do you already have a Gift Card Entitlement Number?

      • If so, enter here ____ - then it would allow user to enter entitlement number, syncing and chaining the location to all other locations which share the same entitlement number
    2. Do you plan to use gift cards at other locations?

      • if yes: prompt…

  18. When the accounting sync is turned on, QBO receives a daily journal entry with sales, sales tax, tips/gratuity and the offset is cash/credit card payments. Clover needs to add a line item for Merchant Fees. The total bank deposit does not tie to the accounting sync because the merchant fees are not included. The bank deposit for the day is total credit card payments received less merchant fees. It would be great to see the merchant fees synced with QBO.

  19. Clover Online Ordering needs its own tip suggestion control. Currently, it follows the tip settings for in-store Station. Many businesses would like the ability to set different tip suggestions or even turn off tipping for pickup orders.

  20. After we process a payment, there should be an option to select a main email accounts to send the payment receipt. At the moment, we have to manually type in the email account each time we want to send the receipt to our email.

    This will save time and also reduce error by not needing to manually type in the email for most transactions.
