Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. 1) Be able to submit emails to admins/managers when inventory is below a certain count on an item

    2) Allow certain items to Sync together…. For example… my client has 5 bottles of red wine, he stated about 4 glasses equals a bottle. On the menu his servers either sell by glass or sell by bottle. We want the option to be able to input 5 quantity on the bottle items but when you sell that same bottle by the glass in a different category,automatically deduct a portion of his choosing (in this case .25) on the bottle quantity category.

  2. Add the cash rendered amount to the column header in Sales Activity > Transactions report so we can easily identify potential theft or expectations for the till at shift changes. Or offer the ability to customize the headers of the Sales Activity reports like we can with Inventory

  4. Need a option/process to track Courtesy/Spills in Restaurant/Bar environment to account and report for these items, with out it affecting the sales numbers on the reports. Once the order is open & printed to Kitchen/Bar and an event occurs to the order and it is declared a loss/spill or courtesy. The order will remain unpaid and declared a loss/courtesy, it needs to appear on daily report and be tracked weekly/monthly/annually for reporting to government agencies. Specially on liquor.

  5. Hello, with the situations with the restaurants, specially with mine, I am always short staffed for the past few months. This means, many customer calls are missed while our staff is serving dine-in customers. So, the idea is to route all the calls to our remote staff who can take all the orders from the customers and place the orders remotely via clover app. This way, if the customer calls are handled, then the staff onsite can take care of the dine-ins. I understand there few prep works and coordination needed, but that's doable than loosing the business itself

  6. On the printed Order Receipt/ Expo Receipt, please allow us to modify the header, so that it doesn't just say "Clover Online Shopping Pickup." We attach these receipts to customer orders, so would like to be able to put our brand name (and logo!) on the header.

  7. We have employees that are seasonal. (they are in college during the fall and spring) but work for us in the summer and on breaks.

    We would like the ability to make the employee inactive so that they are not listed when we are trying to do things like
    -filter by employee when in transactions
    -trying to move a table to another employee
    -...

    To have to delete the employee and then re-add (having to enter all their information again) them when they come back is inefficient and a pain. Whereas, if we were able to just change a field…

  8. Currently, "description" is supposed to already included for export/import but that is not the case. Additionally, pictures is not an option. However, there is much more data that should be included with data transfer, that could be optional by the account owner. Make everything available and optional for export/import - including the current state (at the time of export) of each item.

  10. For Modifier Groups for online orders, we used to have the ability to choose a min/max for specific modifiers. Example: A combo with 3 sides. We can list all the sides, but if a customer wants to choose 2 of the same side (mac & cheese for example), there is no ability to choose 2 mac & cheese, just one of each sides. Can the quantity be adjusted to have a min/max option?

  11. When a server fires their order, rather than the computer closing the table out, but leaving the server logged in and on the dining room floor plan screen, we should be able to turn on a function that logs the server out entirely. When you have 8-10 servers running around and someone forgets to log out, it's easy for someone else to start ringing their order under another person's name. Servers often forget to lock the computer when they're done, so this issue is fairly common.

  12. Every morning we audit tips entered in the TIPS app by the staff. This is insure that customers are not over charged by a misentry as well as any tips that maybe left unentered.

    Starting on the business day of 6/10/2025, the app was changed from (trying to work the logic backwards) being sorted by the time the transaction was started which kept sequential descending transaction numbers to a sort by the time in which the transaction was closed. This new sort throws the transaction numbers out of order. This is opposite of the workflow that has been in place…

  13. Allow users to remove information from the Station Duo main screen. It shows the daily sales tally and I don't want my employees to know that information.

  14. Looking to see if Clover can create a profitability report by table for restaurants. This way, I can see which tables are less profitable than others.

  15. The Modifiers in COLO automatically set to a specific modifier when the minimum and maximum are both 1. It would be better for the option to have a checkbox that doesn't allow the order to be added to the cart ( like what happens when there are 1min 2 max) than the circle that automatically defaults . This can cause issues especially for merchants who have Vegan/Vegetarian establishments ( the modifier defaulting to a vegetarian item on a vegan order that can easily be overlooked).

  17. Restaurant software offers the options to add service charge, restaurant owners want service charge by order type, if the order type in MAIN has a different percentage than another order type, they want the ability to to charge different % amount by order type take out vs main dining

  18. Merchant upgraded from the Flex 3 to Flex 4 and the employee lock screen no longer has the alphanumeric characters, only numbers. The only alphanumeric setting is for the customer-pin pad entry; however, they want it back for the employee lock screen.

  19. We have a few locations that would love to be able to filter the Tips app by date.

    We have a bar that checks all tips entered the prior night for accuracy before they manually settle the batch. This helps prevent calls from customers due to tip entry errors. They would love to only see the tips from a specific date or yesterday.

  20. When there are 3rd party platform like uber, the promotions that are run in uber or other 3rd party platforms are not congruent with the reporting in Clover Reporting dashboard or app
