Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. Create functionality to enter future delivery date/time that would work similar to online orders schedule at future time or dates and times. In addition add an interface that shows future orders to facilitate order fulfillment.

  2. Numerous clients ask for this functionality and it's becoming more and more of an ask. The ask is for menu boards on TVs/monitors to be connected to the Clover, ideally in real-time. Not only for pricing and product updates but also for current availability of items/modifiers as well. All new QSRs use menu boards...it would be great if we could have some sort of integration. TY

  3. Online Delivery Partner integration - need to be able to provide an online menu with delivery pricing and another menu with a lower pick up price for orders placed on DoorDash or Uber Eats. Merchants are charged lower commission for pick up orders and they want to pass through savings to customer. Also, DoorDash provides merchants with online ordering and would need separate menu with even lower prices there.

  4. There needs to be a way to limit the amount of menu items a customer can order using the online ordering. We have had many problems with customers using online ordering to order large quantity of menu items that would fall more under catering. It really creates a problem both for the customer that expects there order to be ready at a given time and the staff trying to fulfill the order. Also creates a problem when the customer chooses delivery and for any reason the driver cancels the order and that order gets refunded without notice!

  5. It would be clearer to online ordering end-users if the Clover Online Ordering website showed the Order type (in-store pickup, delivery, curbside) listed as radio buttons rather than a drop-down so that end-users can clearly see all of the available options before hitting the checkout button. Currently, they may not realize that delivery or curbside pickup are available unless they know to click the drop down.

  6. When placing an order on Clover, it would be helpful to choose ONE item on the order to remove tax from that item only. Our state removes taxes on bread products, when 6 or more are purchased. Clover will only remove taxes from the whole order, not individual items. Please help with implementing removing taxes from single items on the order screen.

  7. When we’re in the ITEMS list, we can only sort by name. We organize our items by SKU, so it would be nice to have the ability to sort by any column. Additionally, we’d like to be able to rearrange the columns. We prefer the SKU to be the first column for referencing, so it would be great if we could drag the columns to change the order.

  8. Communication with Engineering Team
    Once a case has been created, the communication almost completely stops. There needs to be a path to engineering for ISO's and Agents. More often then not the case is closed and is not resolved. If the engineers do not want phone calls, create a portal where the case lives once it is open. Agents can check their tickets and respond accordingly, making the process more seamless while getting the issued resolved in a more timely manner, keeping merchants happy!

  9. We would like if there was a way to have pop-up prompts come up before moving on to certain fields like asking the customer count before food ordering or ringing out! This has become important to us to have because by example the restaurant is all you can, missing inputting the customer number count can greatly affect business, what will happen is that the employee will move onto orders or payments with out filling this out, so maybe only one person of a table of six will be charged! So we want prompts that come up just asking to confirm…

  13. After the customer types in their email address, remember their email address so they don't have to type it in EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY VISIT. Every time I go to the same restaurant and use my exact same credit card I have to type in my email address.

  15. I have clients who would be interested in being able to have their business logo displayed on the devices lock screen and/or background. This could apply to any of the devices really but this client specifically has a Mini. Especially for the Clover Duo this would establish a presence for the brand and this makes the business seem very official.

  16. We would you like to know time between when an order is placed and when it is marked as fulfilled or completed. This will help improve customer satisfaction but also can be tool for training and promotion.

  17. Clover Kiosk needs the ability to include a customer input field during the order process, allowing customers to enter either:

    A buzzer number (for merchants using pagers for pickup orders), or

    A table number (for merchants offering table tents for dine-in service).

    The field should be customizable by the merchant, with the ability to:

    Enable or disable it

    Choose the label (e.g., “Enter Buzzer Number” or “Enter Table Number”)

    Make it required or optional based on the merchant's workflow

    This would significantly improve the kiosk experience for businesses that use buzzers or table service and help streamline order fulfillment.

  18. In restaurants with bars, generally the server needs to tip out the bar on bar sales. We need to have a breakdown by category or revenue class available on the device. It's too cumbersome to have to go through all of the steps using the dashboard, and many shift supervisors and even managers do not have access to the web dashboard. Additionally, you want to be able to print the report and attach to server check outs to be turned in to owner or accounting or whomever. Please do this ASAP.

  19. Your tax reporting is INACCURATE.
    We need a clear way to determine meals taxes. THIS IS CRITICAL.
    Your tax statements and reports are a mess. We can not use what is in your reports as it blends POS taxes with delivery app taxes. We need a way to clearly show net sales and taxes from the POS.
    You currently show the amount collect from each order type at the bottom of your sales report. Please also add net sales and taxes for each order type.
    I've found that your tax report does not break out meals tax and no tax…

  20. There should have an option for the order printing, each printed ticket should able to auto-cut after each item or category to allow physical separation.

    This enables both preparation of the dishes and placing the receipt under each dish for table delivery guidance.

    use case example:

    In a busy restaurant, several tables place orders for sushi items that are prepared by the same chef and printed to the same kitchen printer. For instance:

    Table A orders: Sushi A ×1, B ×2, C ×3, D ×1, E ×2, F ×1

    Table B orders: Sushi A ×2, C ×2, D ×3, E…
