Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Menu Management: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

2. Orders: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

3. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

4. Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

5. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

  1. When programming a menu for a full service restaurant. We need Sub Modifiers!!

    Lets say the Item is Spaghetti that comes with choice of soup or salad.

    Right now the modifier has to read: Every kind of soup and every kind of salad option.

    It would be nice if a modifier was able to be programed that said "soup" and then "salad".

    Then SUB modifiers would come up. IF Salad was selected all the salad dressings would be listed in the sub modifier. If soup was selected all of the soup options would come up in the sub modifier.

  2. Using The Reorganize Modifiers master list is complicated. When each inventory item is set up, we should be able to select the specific order of modifiers for each item for an easy flow, and thus less scrolling up and down, on the clover dining app. This is important when using the Clover Flex as there is too much wasted time scrolling up and down to find pertinent modifiers. I have even tried using a numerical system to override the alphabetize system, and it doesn’t necessarily work all the time. Each inventory item has a unique flow when placing an order…

  3. Why don't you offer an online delivery option for businesses that already have a delivery provider that they pay? For example, pizza shops? We pay to have delivery drivers and we can't use to clover option for deliveries. Plus, the $6.99 fee that doordash or other 3rd parties charge seems VERY pricey. Customers in this town won't pay that when they can just call the restaurant themselves and only be charged $3 for delivery..

    My customers love the clover app because they can accumulate points. I don't want to offer online ordering through another third party app because that's obnoxious.…

  4. Looking to have the time shown for when each line item on an order was added and fired back to the kitchen. This could be a report, viewable on the dashboard, or to print on the receipt. Currently you can see the time on the KP tickets when it prints.

    Use example: A customer places an order with multiple items. They state it took 30 mins for the food to come out. How can the manager verify that or know if this was the server or the kitchen?

  5. Being able to have subcategories for your categories and sub sub categories for those categories, then you don't need have to have one hundred different categories to chose

  7. Can we please get a repeat button in the clover dining app? I don't want to give every employee the ability to delete printed items so that they can repeat a drink order without having to search for the drinks again. We can have a table full of drinks that need to be repeated and it takes time to have to enter them one by one

  8. Ability to add different service charge percentage or fixed fee for different sections of clover dining table mapping. Example Dine-In section 15% to go order 5% banquet hall section 10% but all sections are working tables that are simultaneously be used live in a site.

  9. It would also be nice for menus to have time frames. Lunch is available Tuesday through Thursday 11 - 3 and brunch is available Sat & Sun.
    Not sure why i am able to create multiple menus if I cannot change the times...

  10. Add a print status icon to the Clover Dining "tables" and "bar and more" items showing the print status of the table/order. Perhaps a printer logo colored red when nothing has printed, yellow when some item have printed and green when all items on a ticket have printed.

    Similarly add a kds icon perhaps displaying white for no activity, yellow for active orders, red for orders past the bump threshold and green when all items have been bumped.

    These enhancements would allow managers to quickly identify what tables/orders have fired to the kitchen and there completion progress. Takes too much…

  11. We want the ability to have the (Clover Dining) Table QR Codes to point to different menus. The use case is that when people are dining in we want to allow them to order pastries like croissants. However, if they order online via direct link to the clover menu, or 3rd party, they should not be able to order pastries. Another example would be alcohol, can't have people ordering that online, because they must be in-person to check ID.

    Perhaps there could be a separate Menu Channel for each table in Clover Dining. Or at least a separate Menu Channel…

  13. KDS data available on Clover Dashboard.

    It would be awesome to have the order times, delayed orders, overdue orders, order types available in the reporting section on the clover dashboard.
    To see the number of 3rd party order apps, website traffic, et cetera.

  14. New Clover Kiosk Needs to have a DONE or No receipt button for the kiosk to not force to have to print a payment receipt every single transaction as most customers dont want paper payment receipts. except maybe an order receipt.
    please add this option just like every other clover device has this option to skip the payment receipt so that paper receipts are not piled up all on the floor or around the kiosk because of customers not wanting it.

  17. We should be able to copy/multiply modifier groups so that we don't have to create almost the same modifier groups for different items. It would save a lot of time!

  19. We should be able to add menu items to our online menu from the device. We used to be able to do this with the "online" column in the inventory app. Clover has taken the entire column away, making the only way to add an item through the dashboard. This is not convenient.

  20. customers who order through the app can schedule a pick up time. Default is 20 minutes. if customer wont be there for an hour (or the next day), this information is not printed on the kitchen ticket or POS ticket. Employees must go to the terminal an look up the order. It isnt always practical to leave the kitchen to verify the pick up time and seems like an easy fix
