Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

We are a brewery that sells many merchandise items, clothing, hats, sweatshirts, glassware etc. Of the items we sell: beers, cans of to-go beer, glassware, signs, growlers etc. we can add an inventory number to the item, which subtracts from the inventory when we sell that item. This works perfectly for our inventory tracking, showing the total number of the items still in inventory after each day.

    For clothing items this system is not helpful or useable as it will show the number of total shirts, not what is needed, the inventory number of each different size of the shirts.…

  2. We should be able to add menu items to our online menu from the device. We used to be able to do this with the "online" column in the inventory app. Clover has taken the entire column away, making the only way to add an item through the dashboard. This is not convenient.

  3. PLEASE bring back number of sales slips and net sales for each employee
    and option for individual employee's to have a single report for their own cash out.

  4. New updates do not make logical sense for restaurants. When managing items day to day, there generally is not time to log in to the dashboard, then go through all the steps (9 I believe), just to take an item off. Additionally most employees do not have access to the web dashboard. This creates issues with items being ordered that the restaurant is out of. It would be great if industry professionals were more involved before making changes that will untimately lose merchants.

  5. The terminal allows you to view open order or partially paid orders but not at the same time. You should be able to check off in the filters which items you would like to see.

  7. Restaurants NEED "NO" Modifiers ONLY to print in RED

    Currently we are told only ALL modifiers will print in RED

    YET other POS systems businesses are coming off of, allow to CHOOSE what will print in RED on Kitchen Orders ...

  8. Currently when a merchant inputs data into the "Note for item or service" field, this data passes to the cardholder. However, the data does NOT flow through to the merchant's reporting. I have a client who inputs the date of the event for their catering invoices in this field. When they go back later to tie the transaction to an event, they are unable to do so because the Note field in blank in the reporting.

  9. Allow for Special Instructions on Online Ordering to be optional. Customers are taking advantage of asking for additional items on food, and employees are having a hard time figuring out if items that customers are listing under special instructions have been paid for or are needing payment collected. I tried to turn this Special Instructions off myself and there is no option to do so. I also called in to Clover to ask Tech Support to turn it off for me, they said this option is not optional to have removed.

  11. When using a stock count, it would be nice if it would count the item when it fires instead of after the item is paid.

  12. Merchant would like the items, categories and modifiers to be listed as they appear in the inventory app on the KDS, not how they appear now, which is the order by which the server puts in the order. This current method causes modifiers to be out of order and items to be possibly listed in the wrong order as well.

Online Menu on Google Suppose to be on the top of the online ordering list and it suppose to be named with the restaurant name, because our online list start with Grubhub and seamless and doordash then Order Clover so Order Clover has to be the first then it is better to call it with the restaurant name because a lots of customer does not know what Order clover means and they think it is another ordering company instead of knowing that is our direct online ordering especially that it has our original prices comparing to other online ordering companies…

    i wanted to share my experience so that hopefully you can help me find a solution to this issue i been facing with our account.
    Its regarding our business ours and edit information but mainly about the hours.
    we have relocated our business address recently and so we also have changed our operating hours , i have tried endless times to edit the hours from manager dashboard under edit business information and it just wouldnt save, i have called support many times and all they helped me with is tell me…

  18. Star already supports a printer buzzer (model BU01-24-A) that plugs into the RJ11 jack at the back of the unit. Ideally, we could set this to print to only certain order types, namely online orders that employees wouldn't necessarily be aware of.

  19. You recently discontinued the service plan we signed up for, and replaced it with a plan that removed a very important feature. Our servers would hold their cash sales and print a cash settlement report the end of their shift that automatically deducted their credit card tips from the cash they owed us. This was a very important feature we relied on, and you eliminated it right in the middle of a business day, with no warning. I recommend you reinstate this feature as soon as possible, or I'm sure many businesses will find other services.

  20. Ability to run a comparative report of servers to be able to measure detailed sales performance of each server:

    number of guests
    selectable date range
    sold entrees (count and gross dollars)
    sold appetizers
    sold liquor
    sold desserts
    display/filter on day of week
    display/filter on order entry time
