Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. The inventory export/import spreadsheet includes a description for Revenue Class but the Items tab does not include the column. I can add the column and successfully import Revenue Class, but there is no way to export the revenue class. Please fix this error.

  2. Business owners should be able to name the batch per the location. Client gets the same report for 5 locations, easier to identify if he can name the batch per loaction.

  3. Merchants would like to be able to automatically print to several order printers without the use of kitchen labels. Currently, if there are multiple printers, it has them select which to print to and manually reprint the order label if an additional copy is needed.

  4. Ability to add different Service Charges percentage for Clover Dining with detail report individual subtotals.
    This option of having more that one Service Charge is already implemented for some merchants, but the only problem is that in the report it is showed as the total of the Service Charges, not the individual subtotal for each one of the service charges. Also, this option of more that one Service Charge, must be implemented an offered for all the merchants. This is very important and urgent.

  5. Need feature for directly pushing clover go orders to printers.

    I am taking orders from outside the restaurant using call forwarding when my team is busy! I am able to save the orders but i have to call someone at the restaurant and they will the order and push to the printer…!

    They will be busy and missing printing which leads to delayed orders and customer grievances…!

    You guys are giving that feature to third parties like doordash, uber eats, grubhub, stream.. etc.! Why cant you donit from your own app

  6. We need the ability to add a customer to an order even after it is closed. Currently, if the order is completed, we are not able link the order to a customer. So, we are missing the ability to see customer history.

  7. When we take catering order via phone or email or even in-person, we need the ability to specify the date and time of the delivery or pick-up, and this can be in the future a few days or a few week later.

    Additionally, if we can also have an option to specify up the prep date, that will be helpful, so, the orders can show up on top of the order list and print the kitchen ticket, on the day of the preparation.

  9. Need to be able to control which discounts are available per job code.

    Currently the discount permission is all or nothing. Meaning, a employee can either have the ability to discount or not discount.

    We are requesting the ability to assign discounts to certain job codes so that they can have access to some but not all discounts.

    It currently is all or nothing.

  10. Allow certain items to Sync together…. For example… my client has 5 bottles of red wine, he stated about 4 glasses equals a bottle. On the menu his servers either sell by glass or sell by bottle. We want the option to be able to input 5 quantity on the bottle items but when you sell that same bottle by the glass in a different category,automatically deduct a portion of his choosing (in this case .25) on the bottle quantity category.

  11. Reorder Recommendation for POS Customer App

    To enable fast and convenient reordering in the customer app, the POS should support Reorder Last Order, Order History with Edit, and Saved Orders. Customers can quickly repeat a previous order with one tap, make necessary edits such as quantity or item changes, and place the order without starting from scratch. New orders can be saved as favorites for future quick ordering.

  12. MODIFIERS: ADD COSTS SO WE CAN GENERATE ACCURATE PROFIT REPORTS!!!

    As of now, we can only add a cost to an item. If someone wants to change a size, add an ingredient, etc that costs extra, we have no way for that to reflect on the cost of the item which makes the profit reports useless. I was told that the only work-around is to turn every single modifier into an item button, which would be incredibly tedious and will not work for a busy cafe.

  13. We recently added Scan to Pay at our location. The feature is receiving positive feedback from both staff and guests. However, the QR code only prints when printing a full table bill. No QR code prints when splitting the check. The QR code was a plus for me, as an owner, because we do a TON of large groups with split checks and this speeds up efficiency in check out: potentially reducing future labor costs.

    We have a work around for now, but it's clunky and time consuming. For any other full service restaurant owners facing this issue, we are

  17. When commencing an oreder in the takeaway section of the dining app, i then have to add guest numbers and then hit takeaway again for order type, if not it defaults to dine in. once you have added an item it can not be amended. this step is counter intuitive as you have aleady initiated the order in take away and should not be necessary

  18. custom items do not print order docket in clover dining app. This means my orders and not made and customers do not get their order. Fix needed

  19. You can choose on "tap pay" or on "invoice print" but not on completed transaction. This make no sense. when i tap pay then the customer changes their mind i go back and change the item but the docket is already printed and the meal being prepped. Should have a print docket triggerred by on completed transaction.

  20. When you change the price of the items for the online menus (ex. for uber) it does not allow you to change the price or percentage for the modifier items.
