Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. Currently, the Epson printer connection with the Clover POS does not allow us to limit printing to only to-go orders or online/mobile orders. As a result, labels are being printed unnecessarily, which leads to wasted supplies.

    We would love to explore adding this functionality to the integration, as it would help streamline operations and eliminate the need for additional labels going to waste.

    Please let us know if this is something that can be supported now or considered for future enhancements.

  2. We are so excited to see that Itemized invoicing & invoice tip suggestions have started to roll out!

    Are there plans to make it possible to add an auto gratuity to an invoice before sending?

    We work with a merchant that needs the ability to add an auto gratuity line item on some of their catering invoices. They said that some large clients always tip 15% & anticipate that the 15% will be included as a line item on the invoice already. They would like the option to still add a tip before sending, as needed.

  3. In the dashboard, have a report that will tell you how many cover counts by hour. There is an existing sales report, but it does not show how many guests were served.

  4. Many multiple locations are under different legal corps but maybe the same owner or franchisee. Setting up multi location permission settings rather than being able to copy or close them takes a long time for a merchant to setup and delays implementation.

  5. Inventory currently has the ability to have labels and categories when sending it to an assigned kitchen printer. It would be very helpful if we could also give each item a "priority" in which it is printed on the ticket.

    If a customer wanted to turn on a feature that allowed them to also give those items a priority would make things much smoother in a kitchen that only has a single kitchen printer.

    For example:

    Inventory items currently have the ability to be categorized. When assigned to a category, you can also assign a Priority level.

  6. The KDS has been a great addition for us. We would love to see a button on the main screen to toggle between the 5 ticket view and the 10 ticket view rather than having to go to the settings and change it there. To be able to just click a button on the main screen to change that would be AMAZING and save time in a fast paced environment like we have.

  7. When a server is assisting a table that has multiple guest and one of the guest leaves early and pays their tab, the system prompts for all the remaining guest/table to pay out their order, otherwise the table is locked and no other edits can be done. Can we make an enhancement to where the table can still order, etc?

  8. Enable printing the dining table name on the credit card payment receipt's merchant copy. This is helpful to the merchant as their servers share tips with the chefs at tables from certain dining rooms. This feature was available in the previous version, but is no longer available after replacing the Clover Station.

  9. We need to be able to "rename' in the Clover Dining App tables/tickets that have multiple guests. This will help us:

    1) Make a personal connection
    2) Identify which guest ordered what
    3) Simplify the billing process when we go to collect payment

  10. Allow prices (VIA modifier) to be increased by a percentage vs flat dollar amount. For example, double liquor drink orders, etc.

  11. There is interest to create a completely contactless ordering & payment experience by being able to open a running tab with payment pre-authorization via QR Code. The customer seats themself, scans the QR code on the table to view the menu, adds the items they would like for their first round to their order, they insert their payment information to start their tab and send their first round to the bar/kitchen, the tab stays open so the customer can keep ordering without completing the transaction, once they are ready to leave they close their tab/tip from their personal device and…

  12. Dayparts is currently applicable to "In Store (POS devices)" only. Make Dapyparts applicable to Online Ordering and 3rd Party Ordering (Doordash, GH, UE etc).

    This will enable to have menus available at specific day/time for online ordering too, in line with the In Store (POS devices) that's available currently.

  13. We have set up the DoorDash Drive Clover integration, and it works fine. But, the only tip option on the order checkout screen from the customer view is "Tips For Delivery Person". Tips go to the Dasher. The in-store employees who prepare and package the orders are not receiving any tips. Clover support was unable to assist with this.

    Is there a way to add another tip option for customers to give our employees a tip on their order?

  14. The inventory export/import spreadsheet includes a description for Revenue Class but the Items tab does not include the column. I can add the column and successfully import Revenue Class, but there is no way to export the revenue class. Please fix this error.

  15. Business owners should be able to name the batch per the location. Client gets the same report for 5 locations, easier to identify if he can name the batch per loaction.

  16. Merchants would like to be able to automatically print to several order printers without the use of kitchen labels. Currently, if there are multiple printers, it has them select which to print to and manually reprint the order label if an additional copy is needed.

  17. Ability to add different Service Charges percentage for Clover Dining with detail report individual subtotals.
    This option of having more that one Service Charge is already implemented for some merchants, but the only problem is that in the report it is showed as the total of the Service Charges, not the individual subtotal for each one of the service charges. Also, this option of more that one Service Charge, must be implemented an offered for all the merchants. This is very important and urgent.

  18. Need feature for directly pushing clover go orders to printers.

    I am taking orders from outside the restaurant using call forwarding when my team is busy! I am able to save the orders but i have to call someone at the restaurant and they will the order and push to the printer…!

    They will be busy and missing printing which leads to delayed orders and customer grievances…!

    You guys are giving that feature to third parties like doordash, uber eats, grubhub, stream.. etc.! Why cant you donit from your own app

  19. We need the ability to add a customer to an order even after it is closed. Currently, if the order is completed, we are not able link the order to a customer. So, we are missing the ability to see customer history.

  20. When we take catering order via phone or email or even in-person, we need the ability to specify the date and time of the delivery or pick-up, and this can be in the future a few days or a few week later.

    Additionally, if we can also have an option to specify up the prep date, that will be helpful, so, the orders can show up on top of the order list and print the kitchen ticket, on the day of the preparation.
