Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. Can we please add an option in the Order Receipts to have as optional to add the vehicle description for curbside pickup. I know you can add it under notes but notes are used for other information.

  2. Hello Clover,

    It would be extremely helpful to have the preparation time setting in Clover automatically add an additional amount of preparation time the merchant can set for online orders that exceed a certain dollar amount.

    For example, lets say the merchant wants to have Clover automatically add an additional 30 mins of preparation time for orders that exceed $100. It would be great if the merchant can edit theses parameters under the "Preparation Time" setting in Online Ordering Dashboard instead of just setting a specific preparation time.

  3. Currently, doordash integration on the Clover Online Ordering only offers the pickup option and merchant needs the ability to have both pickup and delivery fulfilment options.

  4. Need the ability to take ALL open orders and transfer ALL of them to a new server. Our application is for a bar vs restaurant dinner orders. So at shift change there can be anywhere from 10-20 open orders, all of which need to be managed and moved to the new server. Presently we have to select order, transfer, select order select etc. etc. and transfer each one individually, this is very time consuming, especially during a shift change, it ties up the computer for a period of time and leaving other servers unable to add to orders and open…

  5. In a QSR with multiple cash registers, it would be great if the order numbers on the printed kitchen tickets were sequential.

    We primarily use one register, but during rush we use a second register. If the primary register is on order #50 and then someone jumps on the second register and takes an order, that order should be #51…as it is right now, that prints in the kitchen as order #1 and can easily cause confusion as to the actual order sequence and lead to firing food out of order.

  6. Syncing is a great idea, do you have any ideas on how to disable cash payments on handheld devices? If a customer pays in cash without change, and they leave the cash on the table, and the waitress just taps cash and keeps the money.

  7. Currently you can Group line items for "order receipts" but this does not Group line items when printing to a Kitchen Printer. It comes out like this

  8. The updated 3Gen Solo device does not feature a tap or apple option like the 2Gen did on the printer. Why not set up the Flex device to have the same capabilities as a Mini device does but used at the drive thru widow? Then we can actually extend the device to the customer to tip and tap right out the window.

  9. Give admin access to devices and printer. Why was it removed? If there are 3 owners to a business, you expect them to share 1 main account with 2-factor logins? Not sure why Clover keeps messing things up.

  11. In Inventory App, since we use Kiosk, there are button of "Show on POS" and "Show on Kiosk", but NOT "Show Online".
    We need to have all 3 of them
    - Show on POS
    - Show on Kiosk
    - Show Online
    This helps us to update online item on the Register Clover without going through the computer

  12. Allow restaurants to sort their online menus by Category or Item (including alphabetically) for fast access to turn items on and off depending on availability. Right now, I just see a list of all items available, which makes it difficult to go through the entire list just to turn one or two items off.

  13. In-store our clover pos allows us to select multiple identical modifiers by tapping the plus sign next to the modifier name. Example: Order of three tacos with multiple meat options where the three options can be the same or different such as three chicken tacos or 2 chicken one steak. However when a customer places an order of that same three taco entree online they aren't allowed to select multiple of the same meat choice. They are forced to select three different kind of meat.   14. The biggest thing that we find lacking with Clover is a Pizza Builder Function. Having Pizza size prefix's choices that show in front of the item name instead of a modifer, listing below. Currently the size is done as a modifier or separate menu item buttons, a prefix choice could make ordering much smoother and order receipts much easier to read. Also, modifier groups that can be priced according to the size or half topping choice, instead of having multiple modifier groups for whole topping, left side/1st half, right side/2nd half.   15. It would be incredibly helpful to have a report that shows how many items are sold per hour, broken down by product and category. This feature would allow merchants to easily identify their peak sales hours and understand which products perform best at different times of the day.

    With this insight, businesses can make smarter decisions regarding staffing, promotions, and inventory planning.

  16. Merchants using Online Ordering with Clover and have Grubhub ,Doordash, UberEats integrated. When implementing stock count on the inventory, anything that gets ordered from online "Grubhub, Doordash, UberEats" should deduct the stock count automatically.

  18. Adding the ability to have prefix words to attach to modifiers on one line instead of two separate modifiers printing on two lines. For example, if I need a select no cheese, it prints on two separate lines or I need to make 2 modifiers groups, one for Adds and one for No's. If you had prefix that could determine if the selection gets charged or not it would advance the system in pizza and service bar locations immensely. Such as selecting No would remove the modifier charge and Add would trigger the modifier to be charged.

  19. Allow for Special Instructions on Online Ordering to be optional. Customers are taking advantage of asking for additional items on food, and employees are having a hard time figuring out if items that customers are listing under special instructions have been paid for or are needing payment collected. I tried to turn this Special Instructions off myself and there is no option to do so. I also called in to Clover to ask Tech Support to turn it off for me, they said this option is not optional to have removed.

  20. Printing the pick up or preparation time or including it in the email notification for the online orders would be extremely helpful. The preparation time shows on the order confirmation pop up when a customer completes the order, but it is not included in the emailed confirmation and receipt.
