Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. Is there a reason store owners aren't allowed to choose delivery without being forced to use a 3rd party? Small town Iowa business owners provide their own drivers. There should be an option for their customers to select this when ordering online.

  2. I need the ability to schedule item and price updates in Clover so changes can be prepared in advance and set to go live automatically at a future date and time. For example, if I update the pricing on bagged coffee today, I should be able to schedule that update to publish on Friday at 6:00 am when the store opens. This would prevent the need to either push updates early or wait until right before opening to make time sensitive changes.

  4. The dayparts for menu visibility on the Clover Station Duo, Clover Solo, Mini, etc. works great, however, the dayparts do not apply to the Kiosk, which seems like a weird oversight. We need the ability for the dayparts to also apply to the Kiosk menu visibility.

  5. It would be helpful to be able to assign a different default order type to each register rather than having to choose the order type every time. For example, a drive thru register could be set to Drive Thru as a default order type to help minimize mistakes in the kitchen.

  6. Hello-

    I'm working with a Cafe that is requesting a feature to print individual item tickets to the Order Printer. IE: Ring up a Latte & Espresso. Right now they print together to the order printer. They would like the Latte to print one 1 ticket, and the Espresso to print on the next.

    For cafes this feature would be instrumental as they would be able to serve the coffees with the matching individual Order ticket, as opposed to the entire order ticket.

  7. When you make an online order, when you check out the tip function defaults to the lowest tip amount. If the customer doesn't check none, it will default to the lowest tip amount instead of None. we need that to default to None!!!!

    Increase customer engagement and new customer acquisition by incentivizing referrals with discounts.

    How it works:

    Referral Code Generation:

    Each customer receives a unique referral code printed on their bill after dining.

    Sharing & Rewards:

    The customer shares the code with a friend.

    When the friend uses the code:

    Both the referrer and friend get a 10% discount.

    The friend receives a new unique code to share further.

    Automation & Tracking:

    Codes are unique and single-use.

    Self-use is prevented.

  10. The printer setup needs a setting to be able to have each Item print out separately instead of having them all print on one bill and adding a line below each print. There is an APP name smart print that allows you to do that on the clover app Market but that APP has way too many bugs.

  11. Its nothing with the website its more with the UberEats integration.
    The modifiers needs to have a setting where my client can select the same modifier multiple times.
    Lets say i have a food combo that comes with 3 sides i want my client to be able to select 1 side 3 times if they wish to do so just like its possible to do with the ubereats interface.

  13. KDS needs a summary of all orders with counts. If there are 5 tickets on the display, there needs to be a summary bar like freshKDS that shows for example 5 burgers 4 soups 1 sub etc. the total number or all items that are fired in a summary.

    Needs font and color sizes

    Table numbers could be bigger and Dine in or take out could be smaller

  14. New Florida State Law states, Service Charge must be taxable, tips are optional to include or exclude taxes, but additional service charges needs to be taxable, please set this up for Service Charges as new state law required for the subtotal of line items sold and service charges to be taxed.

  15. Restaurant Table Reservations:
    Allow restaurants to utilize an existing Clover Booking feature (currently available for Retail/Services plans) for online table reservations.

    Make this booking feature available a la carte in the Clover App Market as a stand-alone add-on for any SaaS plan, not just the Services plan.

    Advanced Reservation Options & Fees:

    Allow advance booking options up to one year.

    Enable the option for the merchant to apply a non-refundable or refundable booking fee at the time of reservation, which can then be applied against the customer's final bill at checkout.

  16. Enable the option to add chairs to a table layout based on their actual physical position, mirroring capabilities found in other POS systems.

    Expand the available object types and shapes for designing the restaurant layout.

    Allow the vertical orientation for table/object names within the layout view.

  17. Allow the ability to assign an existing or add a new customer to a specific guest at a table directly within the Clover Dining app, rather than only through the Register app or Customer app. Guest Naming: to assign individual names to guests seated at a table.

  18. We just got dayparts for our cafes, we have breakfast and lunch menu. I need customers to be able to place future orders for lunch even though at that time of day we are serving breakfast. Dayparts does not work for online ordering if there is no function to order lunch for a future date/time.

  19. Time punches can be edited from the web dashboard but the calendar picker does not allow the user to pick the previous day and only allows who hours to be selected. This is not useful to correct time when an employee forgot to clock out the previous day and/or the time is something other than the whole hour.

    Users can click into the field an manually adjust the date and time, but the date picker should either be eliminated or functionality improved.

  20. Add permission to suppress tip reporting. The data is misleading for restaurants that pool tips as the employee doesn't receipt a closeout.
