Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  2. Please Add The option to turn off the order ticket getting printed when the customer press the button for printing the receipts.

  3. Please have the Kiosk print orders at the Station Printer. Why is there an additional order printer needed? The Kiosk does not see the Station Printer as an option for Order Printing. Why is that? Can you please have the Station Printer automatically print Kiosk Orders? Without the need of an additional order printer. It really streamline our operation. Otherwise, we'd have to return the Kiosk.

  4. Device Printed COLO QR Codes are not enabled for DDD Delivery! Only the QR codes at the dashboard are enabled with DDD delivery option. Most of our merchants do not have PC's/Printers. The ability to print QR codes that work for both pick up and Delivery should be an option.

  5. Currently, the employee who opens the check and orders the first item is the only employee that is tracked on the check. We would like to be able to track what each employee serviced on the check. We need to know who added what amounts, who authorized a credit card and who closed the check. These details matter.

  6. A merchant has the QR clover online ordering in a food truck space where there many food trucks parked. The facility has their online clover website in their main website. When their customer is using their clover online ordering platform for pick up the clover KDS doesn't send a sms that the order is ready for pick up and Kiosk works. They would like the clover online ordering website hosted by clover for pick up orders to also be able to send sms text like the Kiosk from Kitchen Display

  7. Please enable promo code / discount option for customers ordering online. This is must have feature for small restaurant businesses in Canada. Upon have a discussion with your representative, this service seems not being activated in Canada.

  8. I need the option to disable the use of passcodes. At my restaurant, we operate using employee cards, which are currently only used by managers. However, I need to remove the requirement for managers to use passcodes. Additionally, we need the new Clover devices to be enabled to accept employee cards as well.

  9. I need a detailed report showing when an item is moved from one table to another, who authorized the move, who performed it, and at what time. At my restaurant, we’re experiencing issues because we don’t know who is moving items, when it’s happening, or who approved the changes. This report is critical for us, and it would be extremely helpful to have it available as soon as possible.

  10. I need to have a report that shows the exact time each item is entered, even if it’s going to the same table. Clover has a “line item” feature, but if I add 3 margaritas at different times, it only shows the time of the first margarita.

  11. When the servers has a refund, only the manager has the power to refund the item, when they look at the report, is not under the server but is shown under the manager who did the refund. I would like to have any type of permission to let the server click refund, then ask for the manager code and then after the refunds is clear, I need them to be under the server report

  12. Disable Checkout for Dine-In QR Code ordering. We would like to disable the feature for customers to Checkout for Dine-In QR Code ordering so our servers can process the payment for them. This creates some confusion because we don't know when someone has paid for their tab already.

  13. I want to be able to disable/hide a menu category from the POS devices without fully removing it. If a menu category is unused at the moment, we should be able to hide it without deleting the category to keep the items there and not have to rebuild the menu items if they come back in the future.

  14. Can we please add an option in the Order Receipts to have as optional to add the vehicle description for curbside pickup. I know you can add it under notes but notes are used for other information.

  15. Hello Clover,

    It would be extremely helpful to have the preparation time setting in Clover automatically add an additional amount of preparation time the merchant can set for online orders that exceed a certain dollar amount.

    For example, lets say the merchant wants to have Clover automatically add an additional 30 mins of preparation time for orders that exceed $100. It would be great if the merchant can edit theses parameters under the "Preparation Time" setting in Online Ordering Dashboard instead of just setting a specific preparation time.

  17. Need the ability to take ALL open orders and transfer ALL of them to a new server. Our application is for a bar vs restaurant dinner orders. So at shift change there can be anywhere from 10-20 open orders, all of which need to be managed and moved to the new server. Presently we have to select order, transfer, select order select etc. etc. and transfer each one individually, this is very time consuming, especially during a shift change, it ties up the computer for a period of time and leaving other servers unable to add to orders and open…

  18. In a QSR with multiple cash registers, it would be great if the order numbers on the printed kitchen tickets were sequential.

    We primarily use one register, but during rush we use a second register. If the primary register is on order #50 and then someone jumps on the second register and takes an order, that order should be #51…as it is right now, that prints in the kitchen as order #1 and can easily cause confusion as to the actual order sequence and lead to firing food out of order.

  19. Syncing is a great idea, do you have any ideas on how to disable cash payments on handheld devices? If a customer pays in cash without change, and they leave the cash on the table, and the waitress just taps cash and keeps the money.
