Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  2. Modifiers should allow a negative value. Like 1/2 portion for example.

  3. When commencing an oreder in the takeaway section of the dining app, i then have to add guest numbers and then hit takeaway again for order type, if not it defaults to dine in. once you have added an item it can not be amended. this step is counter intuitive as you have aleady initiated the order in take away and should not be necessary

  4. custom items do not print order docket in clover dining app. This means my orders and not made and customers do not get their order. Fix needed

  5. You can choose on "tap pay" or on "invoice print" but not on completed transaction. This make no sense. when i tap pay then the customer changes their mind i go back and change the item but the docket is already printed and the meal being prepped. Should have a print docket triggerred by on completed transaction.

  6. When you change the price of the items for the online menus (ex. for uber) it does not allow you to change the price or percentage for the modifier items.
    Can we adjust to change the modifier prices

  7. Please get the Clover kiosk to connect to the epson sticky label printer like all of the other clover hardware (solo, duo, mini, flex and COLO) for QSRs who want a sticky order label printed to stick on drink cups etc. It's great that the Kiosk will connect to KDS and star order and kitchen printers, but it needs to also work with the epson sticky label printer clover sells.

  8. Please allow CLOVER POS in inventory to assign colors to each item that show that color on the KDS screen. Example: Make it red and it will show on the KDS screen in RED writing. Same with any modifier. This gives expo the opportunity to see when these modifiers and special items such as toast in a separate color to help Efficiency and timing better.

  9. Is there a reason store owners aren't allowed to choose delivery without being forced to use a 3rd party? Small town Iowa business owners provide their own drivers. There should be an option for their customers to select this when ordering online.

  10. Need to be able to schedule upcoming closures for Clover Online Ordering and even in store hours. Holidays, special hours (like early closure), etc. Right now, we have to completely disable Clover Online Ordering because we have no way to schedule it to be closed just for say, Christmas.

  11. I need the ability to schedule item and price updates in Clover so changes can be prepared in advance and set to go live automatically at a future date and time. For example, if I update the pricing on bagged coffee today, I should be able to schedule that update to publish on Friday at 6:00 am when the store opens. This would prevent the need to either push updates early or wait until right before opening to make time sensitive changes.

  13. The dayparts for menu visibility on the Clover Station Duo, Clover Solo, Mini, etc. works great, however, the dayparts do not apply to the Kiosk, which seems like a weird oversight. We need the ability for the dayparts to also apply to the Kiosk menu visibility.

  14. It would be helpful to be able to assign a different default order type to each register rather than having to choose the order type every time. For example, a drive thru register could be set to Drive Thru as a default order type to help minimize mistakes in the kitchen.

  15. Hello-

    I'm working with a Cafe that is requesting a feature to print individual item tickets to the Order Printer. IE: Ring up a Latte & Espresso. Right now they print together to the order printer. They would like the Latte to print one 1 ticket, and the Espresso to print on the next.

    For cafes this feature would be instrumental as they would be able to serve the coffees with the matching individual Order ticket, as opposed to the entire order ticket.

  16. When you make an online order, when you check out the tip function defaults to the lowest tip amount. If the customer doesn't check none, it will default to the lowest tip amount instead of None. we need that to default to None!!!!

    Increase customer engagement and new customer acquisition by incentivizing referrals with discounts.

    How it works:

    Referral Code Generation:

    Each customer receives a unique referral code printed on their bill after dining.

    Sharing & Rewards:

    The customer shares the code with a friend.

    When the friend uses the code:

    Both the referrer and friend get a 10% discount.

    The friend receives a new unique code to share further.

    Automation & Tracking:

    Codes are unique and single-use.

    Self-use is prevented.

    System automatically tracks code usage and applies discounts.

  19. Options are everything! If an employee cannot have permission to perform a refund, Clover should allow a manager or admin to use their password to allow the refund to occur under the employees own reporting. Current whomever does the refund — it goes under their reporting and the Server reports are NOT accurate. We should have the permission to make it either way.Please add this feature. You have it already for discounts.

  20. We need an option to be able to print each item from an order separately, currently now the option does exist but it puts everything on one receipt and separates each item with a line. Instead of a line we need each item printed alone. I did find an app that does allow it name Smart Print but it also has a lot of bugs.

    For the restaurant we Run there’s multiple cooking stations and i need items separately to give to those cooking stations.
