Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. There is currently no way to quickly determine the restaurants (or individuals) sales break down for Food and Liquor. This information (liquor sales) would be useful for servers at the end of each shift to determine the amount they must tip out the bartenders. Additionally, this information would be extremely beneficial for the restaurant to determine sales of periods (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly).   2. When we are beginning to run low on a product, it would be nice to turn off the item online only. A recent update took away the toggle that could disable the item online and now we can only mark it as out of stock across all menus. We'd like to turn off online first since we cannot clearly communicate low stock to online customers.

  3. We need a button in the Register app that says NO SALE that a bartender can quickly hit to open cash drawer. I have a merchant that has 7 pool tables 10 dart board machines and is constantly making change -- the way it is now is not ideal with having to enter a reason to open the drawer. The 3-4 clicks is too many for a fast pace bar that has 5 Station Solos.

  4. I run a restaurant and use a Clover POS system. When I need to void an item that has already been sent to the kitchen, Clover asks whether I want to print the update to the kitchen.

    In practice, I don’t find this feature very effective. It creates an opportunity for front-of-house staff to commit fraud by voiding items without the kitchen being able to verify the change.

    For example, if a customer pays in cash, a staff member could pocket the cash and simply void the item, leaving no reliable way for the kitchen to cross-check the order.

  5. Hello,

    Can we create a Happy Hour concept that can go on Clover online ordering?
    For example, Taco Tuesday would go live and online all day Tuesday from open to close.
    Or for instance, 50% off menu from 3:00 - 5:00 every Thursday.

  6. Currently, the colors are assigned automatically and aren't helpful. For example, a Hot drink option button would be HOT and we would choose blue buttons for Cold drinks.

    Also, we NEED two order tickets automatically printed. we have to waste too much time pressing more options and pressing print order.

  7. During Extremely busy periods, line cooks and expediterts have a tendency to not pay attention to order type. Sometimes "To-Go" orders get plated and have to be replated in to-go containers.

    If order types could be color coded on the KDS displays, it would help distinguish between order types and minimize plating errors.

  8. Recently the Happy Hour app disabled the feature that prevents the happy hour discount from being continued past normal happy hour times. For instance if someone orders a beer that is discounted a dollar before happy hour is over and the server then reorders the item using the "+" it continues the discount...the server now has to re-ring in the item in order for the item to be at its proper price.

    Happy Hour also does not let you disable it on a specific device. For instance if we have a party going on that should not receive the discount…

  9. The Item Sales report used to have functionality to print CATEGOERIES or CATEGORIES WITH ITEMS. This functionality was available when the user clicked the PRINT link and presented with a dialog box and several options including the Categories or with or without Items.

    This option was removed this week from the Report and we would like it restored. Our ownership was accustomed to this report and the workarounds are just a lot of extra work. (Manually open/expand each category prior to printing or the export to CSV are the two suggestions we discovered before Clover confirmed that these are the…

  10. For a restaurant inside a hotel the merchant setup a custom tender to charge meals to the hotel room. However, they cannot add a tip to this tender. It would be really great to be able to allow tipping on custom tenders.

  11. Requiring an extra kitchen receipt printer in order to print kiosk orders at the counter can be a deal breaker for fast service, compact shops like specialty coffee shops. Currently, the kiosk cannot print to the receipt printer attached to the Station Duo. In order to print remotely (the only order printing that makes sense for a kiosk), one must purchase a separate kitchen printer and set that up to receive orders.

  12. Instead of only having the option to look at reporting as sub categories, we would like to be able to see the Head categories on the reports and have submenus for subcategories. When i called into clover for reporting issues this was not an option for them to assist with.

  13. Need unlimited amount of Subcategories. And also would like to be able to set up Items in the correct Subcategories on Terminals not only dashboard.

    Templet spreadsheet does import subcategories in correctly when you export and re-import that same report. It puts all Subcategories in Category.
    Needs to add a Subcategory Column on the Items tab.

  15. Clover ONLINE needs to work WITHOUT Doordash AND ONLINE Menu needs ability to AUTO stop allowing Customers to order Breakfast items after a particular time ...

    Support Advised has to manually be done every day - Thats nuts ;-)

  16. CLOVER NEEDS to STOP REMOVING and CHANGING things without CONSIDERING END USER "NEEDS" - Such as ONLINE DELIVERY

    Clover needs to STOP making HOMEBASE the Timeclock Option - TERRIBLE Customer Support, FREEZES and keeps people from being to sign in - Disrespects value of time and makes terrible experience for Businesses

    WHY did Clover REMOVE "set up" option for Merchants to use their OWN DELIVERY and set parameters and Delivery Fee in the Dashboard for ONLINE Orders via Clover APP and Google Search???

    WHY are Merchants NOW "ONLY" given option for DELIVERY in Dashboard ..."VIA DOORDASH, etc...???!!!""

  18. Currently our online store does not sync with our POS when there are low counts on items. It recognizes 86 or sold out items automatically but NOT counts. This is detrimental as we have orders coming through in real time both in store and Online. Meaning we often oversell items on line that are sold out- IE - We have 2 turkey sandwiches left but someone can order as many as they want online. Please fix this!

  19. Applicable to any POS hardware: please enable the feature to apply Cash Discounting to an item or a modifier created from the Clover POS' screen, not only to the ones created through Custom Item on screen or through the dashboard as it is the case today. Thank you.

  20. Right now Clover does not allow you to set a max limit of a quanity for a modifer, if the require max is less than the quanity of the modifers .

    For example, If you have an item of 12 Wings with the modifer of different types like (Extra Hot, Hot, Mudium, Mild, Plain , 5 different modifers) You can only set up max limit of 5 rather than 12, because their are only 5 modifers.

    Just like ordering a dozen donut, If you have 8 different types of donut (Clover only allows you to put max quality for that…
