Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  2. Clover ONLINE needs to work WITHOUT Doordash AND ONLINE Menu needs ability to AUTO stop allowing Customers to order Breakfast items after a particular time ...

    Support Advised has to manually be done every day - Thats nuts ;-)

  3. CLOVER NEEDS to STOP REMOVING and CHANGING things without CONSIDERING END USER "NEEDS" - Such as ONLINE DELIVERY

    Clover needs to STOP making HOMEBASE the Timeclock Option - TERRIBLE Customer Support, FREEZES and keeps people from being to sign in - Disrespects value of time and makes terrible experience for Businesses

    WHY did Clover REMOVE "set up" option for Merchants to use their OWN DELIVERY and set parameters and Delivery Fee in the Dashboard for ONLINE Orders via Clover APP and Google Search???

    WHY are Merchants NOW "ONLY" given option for DELIVERY in Dashboard ..."VIA DOORDASH, etc...???!!!""

  5. Currently our online store does not sync with our POS when there are low counts on items. It recognizes 86 or sold out items automatically but NOT counts. This is detrimental as we have orders coming through in real time both in store and Online. Meaning we often oversell items on line that are sold out- IE - We have 2 turkey sandwiches left but someone can order as many as they want online. Please fix this!

  6. Applicable to any POS hardware: please enable the feature to apply Cash Discounting to an item or a modifier created from the Clover POS' screen, not only to the ones created through Custom Item on screen or through the dashboard as it is the case today. Thank you.

  7. Right now Clover does not allow you to set a max limit of a quanity for a modifer, if the require max is less than the quanity of the modifers .

    For example, If you have an item of 12 Wings with the modifer of different types like (Extra Hot, Hot, Mudium, Mild, Plain , 5 different modifers) You can only set up max limit of 5 rather than 12, because their are only 5 modifers.

    Just like ordering a dozen donut, If you have 8 different types of donut (Clover only allows you to put max quality for that…

  8. Most restaurant merchants do Catering orders or Large orders that require at lease a day notice to fulfill. A Secondary URL for these type of orders and Item that
    will require more than the currant 90 Minutes time limit.

  9. Please add the Server Name next to "In-Store" on the KDS so we do not have to click into the Order Note every time to see which server is assigned

  10. The current system does not allow mixed tender types once a bill has been split four ways. We encountered a situation where four guests split a payment: three paid by credit card, and the fourth wanted to pay partly in cash and the remainder by credit card. The system prevented this and forced the final guest to choose either full cash or full credit, which is not acceptable in real-world payment scenarios.
    This limitation needs to be corrected and implemented as soon as possible.

  11. Can we make it an option to remove or keep the "Whole Table" on the Kitchen Ticket, please?

    I can understand why some restaurants need it, but at the restaurant where I work, we do not want it printed.

  14. THE CUSTOM MODIFIER SHOULD HAVE THE OPTION TO ADD PRICE, SAME AS A CUSTOMER ITEM.
    THEY'RE SPECIAL OCCASIONS WHEN CUSTOMERS ASK FOR SPECIFIC ORDERS THAT AREN'T SET MODS AND ITS EASIER TO RING UP THE ORDER WITH A CUSTOM MODIFIER WITH AN OPTION TO ADD PRICE.

  15. There is currently no way to quickly determine the restaurants (or individuals) sales break down for Food and Liquor. This information (liquor sales) would be useful for servers at the end of each shift to determine the amount they must tip out the bartenders. Additionally, this information would be extremely beneficial for the restaurant to determine sales of periods (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly). There has to be a better way to do this, than continuing it on our fingers or with scrap paper. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

  16. Merchants need to be able to see the cash deposit totals by employee on their POS and not just via the dashboard. Currently, the POS shows cash deposit totals - but not by employee.

    The cash deposit totals by employee are visible in the dashboard and so this should be accessible via the POS as well.

    This is important for employees and their manager when checking cash deposits at the end of their shifts.

  17. Problem: Once created, discounts are only available or must be deleted AND they can be applied to both Order and Item level. They are also often disorganized.

    Solution: Make discounts available or unavailable (optional) so we don't have to delete them and allow them to be applicable for Orders or Items only, or both. This way employees cannot accidentally apply BOGO 50% OFF item only discount to an entire order.

    Also, please give us the ability to organize discounts alphabetically or as category/groups, also allowing to display in register separately or in categories -- perhaps we can add/delete custom categories…

  18. Partial payment order Management

    Ability to running an open tab/order/check after a partial payment is applied. In a bar environment it is common to have a party of guests running a single tab/order. Some guests leave and request to apply a partial payment. Others stay and continue to add items to the existing tab/order. This option is currently not possible in Clover, but available in most competitive pos products.

  19. just opened a new restaurant, but I don’t see the service charge pop up automatically when I hit “Pay.” This feature works correctly in my other three restaurants. I contacted Clover Support, and they told me that the new updates no longer include this feature. Please add this feature back.

  20. I have had many clients say they do not like the white background of the clover dinning and retail screens. They would also like to be able to change the color of the categories. so that the full box is a solid color, not just the side.
