Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. I have a Bepper system that works in my Food Court. The Kiosk must have an option where the customer has the option of taking a number and that it also appears printed on the ticket as an identifier of the order if the customer decides not to give their phone number for privacy reasons in order to locate them within the Food Court (8 restaurants and 30 tables).

  2. Need a "Server/Food Runner Mode" on multi KDS situation with functionality that ensures orders don't disappear from the server screen when the Kitchen marks an item as ready. Currently, "Expo Mode" doesn't support this feature.

    In this Server Mode, an indicator (e.g., a dot) could appear next to each item to show it has been marked as ready by the Kitchen. When the server touches the item on their screen, it would then be marked as completed on the Server Mode Screen. This would be an ideal solution. Thank you.

  3. I have a huge problem with the clover kiosk. There are 2 payment options, Credit Card and Cash, but if you select the Cash option you have to wait for the Duo Station. Customers complain because their orders are delayed. Solution: After selecting the Cash option, the order must be printed on the order printer so as not to lose your place in the order queue.

  4. We have restaurant (Dine in) and a bakery section (Register). We would like to have the tips, sales and avg. bill per table (Dine-In) separate from the (Register/Bakery

  5. Multiple shifts per day:

    We have 2 services ( brunch and dinner) per day with 2 different teams, therefore we need a closeout report ( sales and tips) per shift - not per day

    We also need different menus per shift.

  6. Kitchen display Unit:

    The KDS generate data such as processing time and average processing time. We would like to access this data in a report. It will help us to manage the efficiency of the kitchen and complaints

  7. Tips received per credit cards and debit cards:

    In Ontario, we can deduct the credit card processing fees from the tip payments.
    We desperately need the details on the closeout report - Tips received per credit Card(MC, Visa, etc.) and debit card.
    The lack of this information cost us $400 per month in processing fees that we cannot recover and do not receive income.

  8. Employees need to be able to have more than one role assigned. Again for accounting purposes. Every Restaurant has employees that work multiple roles. That way when I print out an employees hours to pay them Im able to see the role they clocked in as.

  9. Looking for a way that I can set up our Thanksgiving Dinner Special. We would like the customer to be able to preorder the meal online, but ONLY pick it up on Thanksgiving day.

  10. Customer wants their order receipts in their Clover Kiosk to show "PAY AT REGISTER" and "PLEASE TAKE THIS TICKET TO REGISTER AND COMPLETE PAYMENT" in Spanish since the merchant is located in Puerto Rico where the initial language is Spanish. It is creating problems for him since not all consumers know English and are disgusted with him because of the long wait. We need the merchant to be able to count on a system that does not create issues.

  11. Fast service is vital to a restaurant. Would like a report that tracks restaurant performance metric "Time per order". Would like to see it by hour, by day, trends over time.

  12. Need ability to "Edit Menu Prices" for selected items not just the entire menu. We have a menu that is marked up by 30%. When I add a new menu item, it is not marked up and there is no way to do it, other than duplicating the item. Now you have 2 items to manage for 1 item. Ideally would like the "Edit Menu Prices" feature to be applied to only the selected items.

    Thanks for reaching out to Clover. We acknowledge your need and will review it. In the mean time, you may want to try this work around. When you add a new item into the menu (that already had a price adjustment), you can change the item price of only that item within the menu so that it is in par with your menu mark up price.

  13. One for basic menu online ordering and pick up on a day to day basis and one separate and dedicated to ordering online catering orders.

    I would like to keep the two separate for my customers.

  14. third party online sales and sales taxes should be excluded on the report, or reported separately because they pay the taxes, so i get the clear picture of taxes owed to state, county and city, right now its included in the total sales.

  15. No opening drawer ringing.
    This is the only register system I have ever seen (forty plus years in retail) that allows transaction to be rung while the cash drawer is open this is rife with issues. You cant' keep honest people honest if you don't have the single most basic physical base covered.

  16. I have a huge issue with the clover kiosk.
    some of my items has a lots of modifiers and it seems like on the kiosk they make a limit on how many modifires you can have which I think it is a programing mistake because we don't have this issue on the Due station so now my customers can not see all their modifiers options on the kiosk.
    second the All Item option on the kiosk has to be takin offfffffff pleeeeeeease it confuse the customers and it suppose to be just an option for the staff on the due…

  17. INVENTORY NEEDS TO UPDATE THE SECOND A SERVER ORDERS AN ITEM. SO THAT THE SECOND SERVER BEHIND HIM IMMEDIATELY KNOWS THE REMAINING BALANCE OF THE INVENTORY. INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR THE BILL TO BE PAID FOR FOR INVENTORY TO UPDATE IN THE SYSTEM.

    RIGHT NOW INVENTORY UPDATES ONLY AFTER THE CUSTOMER PAYS FOR THEIR BILL.

  18. KDS data available on Clover Dashboard.

    It would be awesome to have the order times, delayed orders, overdue orders, order types available in the reporting section on the clover dashboard.
    To see the number of 3rd party order apps, website traffic, et cetera.

  19. We are experiencing an issue with the tipping process on CLOVER terminals when guests use Tourism Vouchers and our restaurant-generated Gift Cards as part of their payment. Currently, guests are prompted to add a tip based on the discounted amount, which can lead to under-tipping on the overall service received.

    We propose an enhancement to the tipping workflow:

    Tipping on Full Amount: Modify the terminal to prompt guests to first add a tip based on the full amount of the check before any discounts are applied.

  20. Add Extra Categories to the main category Ex:
    I have a category called (Coffee Bar) I need to be able to split this category into Cold Coffee and Hot Coffee then inside this categories comes the items and it is important to be this way instead of me have to set the Cold Coffee and the Hot coffee as Items and the coffee flavors as Modifiers because in this way I will loose the capability of adding photos to the coffee flavors on the Kiosk and the capability to specify each coffee flavor with it's own modifiers. or I have…
