Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. When programming a menu for a full service restaurant. We need Sub Modifiers!!

    Lets say the Item is Spaghetti that comes with choice of soup or salad.

    Right now the modifier has to read: Every kind of soup and every kind of salad option.

    It would be nice if a modifier was able to be programed that said "soup" and then "salad".

    Then SUB modifiers would come up. IF Salad was selected all the salad dressings would be listed in the sub modifier. If soup was selected all of the soup options would come up in the sub modifier.

  2. Clover Dining still does not have any sequenced check numbers. This is not a suggestion, this is a necessity to all restaurants that handle cash. I have been calling and posting for a while with no real regard for concern in return. Check numbers are pivotal to book keeping and making sure no one is stealing, So the lack of concern from Clover is real disheartening. All I'm being told is it can't be done, but every POS has this so I am very confused.

  3. As a store manager I want to be able to export a table that includes items and modifiers on the orders purchased.

    The only way to do it now is to click on receipts and to open it one by one

  4. Modifier prices and names are the same as the items listed in Items List. Merchant would like the modifiers and items to be completely independent of item list in online menus.

  5. When are you going to bring back the ability to take items offline on the register?? What is the most frustrating thing as a busy business owner is having to pull out my phone and be the ONLY one that's able to take an item offline and be able to put it back online when it's available again. I can't have employees logging into my clover account seeing my financials just to navigate the 10 step process to take an item offline.   7. In clover dining app there are no restrictions for employees to remove the automatic Additional Charges from an order. There should be a permission where Only admins are allowed to remove additional service charge or have manager/admin passcode approval to remove additional charges on dine-in sections only. There should be a permission approval.

    Currently there is an Operational Loss when customer is paying cash, the employee gives the bill to the customer, and customer pays in cash, some servers/employees found a loophole to remove the auto gratuity service charge in the Clover Dining app since there are no restrictions in…

  8. The merchant would like to withhold tips of 3-4% in the employee sales report . By law tips are 100% transferred to the employee, however now the merchant is paying full credit card processing fee's on tips on monies they do not keep, making this non-compliant, there can be a feature on the dashboard back office, to turn on "Tips witheld" only % displayed that will reduce their cc tips.   9. Make a button on modifiers if they become unavailable like you have for the items. we have 8 dinner sides and sometimes one becomes unavailable. example we run out Cole Slaw but will have more in a few hours..... Currently we have to delete it and type it back in later

  10. I am having to export a menu from one restaurant location and import into another location. The Inventory import only brings in the Item name and prices etc, but all information online is is not. Online Name, Description and pictures. Although pictures may be difficult to save, but i would like to suggest adding the Online name and description to the excel Sheet on export. I just expend 3 hours moving all online information from on restaurant to another when it should be added to the export sheet. All inventory is turned off inline including modifiers.   11. KDS - Multiple Courses - show all the courses and firing by prep time

    Different dishes has different prep time, therefore some 2nd course dishes need to be fired at the same time as 1st course dishes.
    Some items are fulfilled quickly and can end up getting cold (or warm) while waiting for service, and other items need more time. It slows service down.

  13. I have a Bepper system that works in my Food Court. The Kiosk must have an option where the customer has the option of taking a number and that it also appears printed on the ticket as an identifier of the order if the customer decides not to give their phone number for privacy reasons in order to locate them within the Food Court (8 restaurants and 30 tables).

  14. Need a "Server/Food Runner Mode" on multi KDS situation with functionality that ensures orders don't disappear from the server screen when the Kitchen marks an item as ready. Currently, "Expo Mode" doesn't support this feature.

    In this Server Mode, an indicator (e.g., a dot) could appear next to each item to show it has been marked as ready by the Kitchen. When the server touches the item on their screen, it would then be marked as completed on the Server Mode Screen. This would be an ideal solution. Thank you.

  15. I have a huge problem with the clover kiosk. There are 2 payment options, Credit Card and Cash, but if you select the Cash option you have to wait for the Duo Station. Customers complain because their orders are delayed. Solution: After selecting the Cash option, the order must be printed on the order printer so as not to lose your place in the order queue.

    The KDS generate data such as processing time and average processing time. We would like to access this data in a report. It will help us to manage the efficiency of the kitchen and complaints

  18. Tips received per credit cards and debit cards:

    In Ontario, we can deduct the credit card processing fees from the tip payments.
    We desperately need the details on the closeout report - Tips received per credit Card(MC, Visa, etc.) and debit card.
    The lack of this information cost us $400 per month in processing fees that we cannot recover and do not receive income.

  19. Employees need to be able to have more than one role assigned. Again for accounting purposes. Every Restaurant has employees that work multiple roles. That way when I print out an employees hours to pay them Im able to see the role they clocked in as.

  20. Looking for a way that I can set up our Thanksgiving Dinner Special. We would like the customer to be able to preorder the meal online, but ONLY pick it up on Thanksgiving day.
