Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc. 

Menu: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

  1. Hello,

    Currently, there is no ability to generate reports or search for transactions by applicable sales tax. For example, in my Finances>Taxes section, there are a number of sales that apparently have No Sales Tax (0%). We cannot identify which those are, we cannot search by sales tax, etc. It would make a lot more sense to have a Report that is broken down by sales tax.

  2. I want the ability to have the Customer Information show up under the Orders Tab like it did once before. This is very important for when we want to see who we are delivering to without needing to always print the Order or Payment Receipt.

  4. Is it possible on the order receipt to have Surcharge information available. With a sit-down restaurant without a handheld device, the order receipt is presented to the customer and then payment is taken. Having the transparency to have the surcharge amount on the receipt to show the total after the surcharge, so the order receipt presented to the customer and the payment receipt when surcharge applies alligns

  6. Order receipt DOTTED LINE format option doesn’t work with Star 700 kitchen printer.
    When using the Large Font along with the dotted lines, the dotted lines wrap to two lines instead of only one.

  7. Needs real running timer showing from the table layout for an efficient operation. There are many AYCE restaurants with time limits, currently Clover Dinning app only indicates tables in red at certain preset time and servers need to click each table to check the actual running time or they need to login to web dashboard to check entire tables timer at once. Thank you.

  10. Allow orders fulfillment time to last longer than 1 hour. Half of my tabs disappear, when I switch to fulfillment time from order placement time. And a lot of time is wasted keeping receipts in order.

    Would be much easier if receipts printed in order from fulfillment time, instead of order place time

  11. Until around mid-April 2024, it was possible to view a tips breakdown in the Employee Sales report on the Clover POS devices. The total tip amount for each employee was broken down into "DoorDash Dasher tips" and "Employee tips". "DoorDash Dasher tips" are tips left by customers for online orders delivered through DoorDash Drive, while "Employee tips" are tips actually received by the employee for dine-in orders. It is no longer possible to view this information on the Clover device itself, and accessing the Dashboard is now the only way to view the tips breakdown. I am not sure why…

  12. Why is there a save button if it is gray scaled and you cannot click. If changes are made in real time there is no need for a save button.

  13. Allow the Register app to be on the KDS so employees can take orders on it. Taking a quick order from KDS screen would greatly enhance our work flow by having our customer to wait less. It wouldn't need to accept the payments, but getting an order in the system so other employees could get started on would be a game changer. Then we could take payment later.

  14. Submitting a request for the Card Type to be put back on the Employee Overview report within the Reporting App on the device. This is an issue for restaurants!

  15. Merchant would like to remove tips from employee report. Currently they are able to remove it for cash report but not for employees report.

  16. Prior to last week, I could go to "Closeout" and print batch reports. The Closeout screen also gave options for printing Card Type Totals and Server Totals. As of last week, all of the print buttons automatically print all of the reports. I called customer service and found out that this is a result of a recent update. Updates should be improvements. Updates should not decrease my options.

  17. CLOVER BATCH TOTALS SHOWING SURCHARGES FOR 2% CREDIT CARD FEES SO WE KNOW WHAT WAS A SURCHARGE AND WHAT AMOUNT WASN'T WITHOUT HAVING TO ADD ALL THE RECEIPTS.

  18. CLOVER INTEGRATION WITH UBER EATS

    Can customers select the options more than once?

    UBER EATS OFFERS THE OPTION TO CUSTOMIZE THE RULES OVER THE CHOICE OF AN EXTRA ITEM, BUT CLOVER DOES NOT.

    THIS MEANS THAT MY CLIENTS CANNOT SELECT MORE THAN 1 TIME AN EXTRA. IT ONLY WORKS IF I ENTER EVERYDAY AT EATS MERCHANT AND ACTIVATE THE OPTION OF "How many times can customers select any single option?"

  19. When accounting sync is enabled in Clover to QuickBooks Online, all the day total sale is posted as Clover Sale. We would need to have each sale posted to the particular client and it also should include the item ordered

  20. KDS Merchant request-can we turn off the sleep mode. If the KDS goes to sleep they may miss an order popping up.
