Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. It's impossible to send an invoice to our customers if a "rebate" is included in it. We only do business with invoices to our buyers, and I would like to create a rebate for some of our preferred customers or our employees... I do not wish ta create a list of items in wich I would have 3 identical items with 3 differents prices...
    Please program the virtual dashboard so this would be possible.

  2. Clover Dashboard settings should be mirrored on the Clover Devices.

    An admin should be able to make changes to all device settings from the device or from the dashboard.

    You should not have to log into the dashboard to make device setting change.

  3. Clover dashboard asks for "full name" and "nickname" and states directly underneath that line that the "nicknames will be printed on receipts," but that isn't the case. To protect our staff we need the Nicknames function to actually work.

  4. All Devices including duo,mini,flex. It would help a lot if the order receipt printed out with the items price, as of right now when you make an order and sve it the receipt prints out with all the info except the price of the items.

  5. I am needing to be able to turn the printer option off when each order comes through online. I don't need each order printed since to me that is a waste of paper and for my business we look each order up in our system. We don't need the paper version printed. (i'm not a restaurant)

    Also, I don't need to allow customers to schedule a pickup time/day. Is there a way to hide that feature or turn it off?

  6. We have business for customers we want to retrieve. Right now we can only get FirstName LastName which isn't useful for businesses.

  7. It would be nice if an image can be duplicated along with item details. xxxxx does this with a set of check boxes that show up when you select "duplicate" .

  8. Clover Online Ordering needs its own tip suggestion control. Currently, it follows the tip settings for in-store Station. Many businesses would like the ability to set different tip suggestions or even turn off tipping for pickup orders.

  9. After we process a payment, there should be an option to select a main email accounts to send the payment receipt. At the moment, we have to manually type in the email account each time we want to send the receipt to our email.

    This will save time and also reduce error by not needing to manually type in the email for most transactions.

  10. A way to upload a file for tax rates would be beneficial for the VT merchants that have to manually choose tax rates based on where they are shipping goods. Right now each tax rate has to be manually uploaded if they do not have items.

  11. Would be nice if it included everything when you export reports. Example the ship to address for sales tax use. At the moment we have to go back into the transaction to get the address and put it in manually.

  13. Include Discount Button(s) on Payment Screen (rather than having to choose it on order screen). Guests do not usually present discount cards until the payment process, so we find cashiers having to back out, click the discount pull-down, then choose a discount. Having up to 2 discounts and a third button that links to existing discount pop-up) would save time and effort.

    Having up to 3 discount buttons would be great!

  14. There was an option within an order that would take you directly to the customer's profile (marked by a blue box with a pencil inside of it, just below the employee's name that was taking the order). Can you please add that back in? I noticed it missing about 8 days ago. I thought it was a setting on my end, but it was due to a software update.

  16. recently CRA audited us and they did not like your logged version of transaction since they were looking for the actual receipts. Please add a toggle button to turn on/off 2 receipts under printing setting. I was very disappointed to learn that Clover has removed this option to print 2 receipts at the same time and now its manually done.

  19. “Points towards perks” should actually reflect points. I entered a receipt code from a $3k, purchase the receipt said “Get 3707 points towards perks”. Then I entered a code from the same establishment where my receipt said “Get 12000 points towards perks”. I got the same exact 5% off QR for the $12k purchase as the first purchase. So there are no points - this is a garbage gimmick. And if the “point reward” is chosen by the vendor, perhaps you should advise them that not offering a “reward” would be better than finding out they give everyone the same…

  20. A recent update took away the option to view online and in-store orders on the same screen in the orders app on the device. There is an option to filter between orders, but it does not have all orders as an option, so it makes managing orders tedious
