Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

  1. The clover inventory app should keep tracks of inventory coming in and going out. We want a separate option where employee can only add to the inventory system and cannot deduct without a verification code

  2. Allow certain items to Sync together…. For example… my client has 5 bottles of red wine, he stated about 4 glasses equals a bottle. On the menu his servers either sell by glass or sell by bottle. We want the option to be able to input 5 quantity on the bottle items but when you sell that same bottle by the glass in a different category,automatically deduct a portion of his choosing (in this case .25) on the bottle quantity category.

  3. Need the ability to re-order the modifier groups within the item. It's too difficult to re-order all of the modifiers for each item if the merchant has 30+ modifier groups. For example the merchant needs the required modifiers to show before the others in the item.

  4. In Inventory App, since we use Kiosk, there are button of "Show on POS" and "Show on Kiosk", but NOT "Show Online".
    We need to have all 3 of them
    - Show on POS
    - Show on Kiosk
    - Show Online
    This helps us to update online item on the Register Clover without going through the computer

  5. I am having to export a menu from one restaurant location and import into another location. The Inventory import only brings in the Item name and prices etc, but all information online is is not. Online Name, Description and pictures. Although pictures may be difficult to save, but i would like to suggest adding the Online name and description to the excel Sheet on export. I just expend 3 hours moving all online information from on restaurant to another when it should be added to the export sheet. All inventory is turned off inline including modifiers.   6. When adding descriptions for online items if you type anymore than 60 characters the description flows into the space between items. You can use even less characters if your item name is long or you add a picture. For ease of reading while on a mobile device the constraints in which a description can fit per item would ideally be increased. Or font sizing would help to mitigate this. Is this something that is in the works of implementing?

  7. Would be really helpful to have revenue classes, printer labels, and tax settings driven at the category level instead of at the item level. So any item created within a category would automatically inherit the category's label, tax, and associated settings.

  8. Need unlimited amount of Subcategories. And also would like to be able to set up Items in the correct Subcategories on Terminals not only dashboard.

    Templet spreadsheet does import subcategories in correctly when you export and re-import that same report. It puts all Subcategories in Category.
    Needs to add a Subcategory Column on the Items tab.

  10. Currently our online store does not sync with our POS when there are low counts on items. It recognizes 86 or sold out items automatically but NOT counts. This is detrimental as we have orders coming through in real time both in store and Online. Meaning we often oversell items on line that are sold out- IE - We have 2 turkey sandwiches left but someone can order as many as they want online. Please fix this!

  12. THE CUSTOM MODIFIER SHOULD HAVE THE OPTION TO ADD PRICE, SAME AS A CUSTOMER ITEM.
    THEY'RE SPECIAL OCCASIONS WHEN CUSTOMERS ASK FOR SPECIFIC ORDERS THAT AREN'T SET MODS AND ITS EASIER TO RING UP THE ORDER WITH A CUSTOM MODIFIER WITH AN OPTION TO ADD PRICE.

  13. Need a option/process to track Courtesy/Spills in Restaurant/Bar environment to account and report for these items, with out it affecting the sales numbers on the reports. Once the order is open & printed to Kitchen/Bar and an event occurs to the order and it is declared a loss/spill or courtesy. The order will remain unpaid and declared a loss/courtesy, it needs to appear on daily report and be tracked weekly/monthly/annually for reporting to government agencies. Specially on liquor.

  14. Currently, "description" is supposed to already included for export/import but that is not the case. Additionally, pictures is not an option. However, there is much more data that should be included with data transfer, that could be optional by the account owner. Make everything available and optional for export/import - including the current state (at the time of export) of each item.

    (Burger Categories)
    Hamburger $1
    Cheeseburger $1.5

    (Pizza Categories)
    Cheese Pizza $2
    Sausage Pizza $3

    (Fries Categories)
    Small Fries $0.75
    Large Fries $1.50

    (Drinks Categories)
    Coke $0.50
    Sprite $0.50

    You want to create:
    Combo A (Hamburger, Small Fries and Coke) for $2 (Not combo is $2.25 total)(This is specifically set the items for the Combo)
    Combo B (Cheeseburger, Large Fries and Coke) for $3 (Not combo is $3.50 total)(This is specifically set the items for the Combo)
    Combo C (Select 1 from Burger Category, Select 1 from Pizza Categories, Select 1 from Drinks…

  16. Dashboard: Cannot edit item quantities in bulk, only single edits allowed unless uploaded via spreadsheet which would require existing items to be removed to avoid duplicates on the newly imported file. When selecting bulk edit, please consider an option for quantity.

  17. Dashboard: When editing an item, all sections are collapsed automatically, majority edits consist of quantities/stock which are located at the very bottom, could we disable the auto collapse or re-arrange the position of those options (quantity/ stock)

  19. Please FIX the Clover Dashboard MENU ENTERING ISSUES -
    HAVE already escalated and reached out to MANY Support Reps -
    You CANNOT "scroll" down to ALL the fields

    The ONLY way to be able to stay on the adding items page to ADD info ...

    Is to "ZOOM OUT"
    But you have to zoom out SOO far that you cannot see the wording

    Have tried different browsers, laptops and computers _ ALL of my NEW in the past year Customers are havig the SAME issue =

    IS VERY PROBLEMATIC and isw CRITICAL to them managing their menus in a timely…

  20. In the Dashboard on the Items list, please add pages to be able to jump forward further in the alphabetized order so we don't need to scroll all the way down and hit > countless times to get to the latter part of the alphabetized inventory items
