Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. Create an Inventory Valuation Report which shows item, quantity, unit cost, unit price, extended cost, extended price. The report which currently exports to Excel is very disappointing and requires substantial work in excel to obtain the info needed.

  2. Why does clover insist on making changes no one wants or asked for. Now if one is clover dashboard it will log you out every 15 minutes. That's just ridiculous! Last week it was logging me out ever other MINUTE! I had to recheck two entire orders I had keyed in because it logged me out as I was entering product in. It didn't take the additional inventory numbers or a price change I hade keyed in before it logged me out when I hit enter. Just another waste of my time Clover has thrown in my way, adding to…

  3. When selecting a Revenue Class while creating or editing an item in Inventory, the dropdown list displays Revenue Classes in the order they were created, rather than alphabetically. This becomes cumbersome for merchants with a large number of Revenue Classes, requiring excessive scrolling to locate the correct one.

    Please consider adding:

    • The ability to sort Revenue Classes alphabetically in the dropdown or
    • A search bar within the dropdown to quickly locate the desired Revenue Class

    This small change would significantly improve efficiency when managing inventory.

  5. The User Interface for the inventory app keeps getting worse and worse. New features are fine, in theory, but when they take preeminence over more useful data fields the process to add items becomes more and more difficult.
    Specifically, the newer data fields "Online Name" "Online Description" and "This is an age restricted item" have been place above the essential fields like stock, price, and cost. If they insist on adding more useless data fields to every item, at least they could add them at the bottom of the screen. Or, better yet, make those fields toggleable from the settings.…

  7. Please add item pricing type "Per unit" to the new Essentials plan. So it would be "Fixed" "Variable" and "Per Unit" Thank you. Merchants do not want to pay 89.95 a month just to sell per unit

  9. It would be helpful- as a small business - to get an email notification of each transaction as they are entered- so any modifications or corrections are required--

  10. Businesses need a P&L report that shows a breakdown of the income like on the Sales Overview, but also breaks out YOUR fees between loan fees and credit card fees as it does on the deposits report and COGS like on the item sales report... I have to run those 3 reports 4 times each for a total of 12 reports to give my manager the P&L numbers!! You're already pulling all the data for the reporting, just consolidate it better..

  12. The recent change to the POS Sales Overview Report has information on it that we do not need. The choice between full and condensed is insufficient. Full is too much and condensed is not enough. We do not do cash posting through Clover therefore do not require those features nor do we require the Sales by Employee. It would be great to be able to select the features needed on the report rather than the catch all. We are using far more thermal paper because of the recent change to the report.

  13. Since I am giving my staff commission on membership packages sold as well as commissions on products sold, it would be convenient to apply these commission percentages when closing out a sale. This would make it easy to track no only their tipping but obtain the percentage of the products or services sold.

  14. Currently, when we have someone come in to the store and they want to buy two gift cards, lets say one gift card for $10 and another for $20, we have to break this out into two separate transactions. May we please upgrade the system to enable this?? Drives us nuts!! TY!

  15. With the new Service Growth SaaS plan, it would be of high value to the Merchants and their customers, if customers were able to book / change / cancel appointments and purchase electronic Clover gift cards, directly from the customer's Clover app.

  16. The same way money is added to the Gift Card should be the same way the card is used. For Example: Customer wants $20 on a gift card. Customer gives me the cash, I swipe the gift card to add the $20. But when the customer comes back to use the gift card, they have to give me the card to me to type in each number for the Gift Card to process payment. The customer should be able to swipe the card for payment and not have to give the card to me to type in the numbers. The…

  17. It is my understanding that you can only add a picture/icon to an item/listing if you are selling online. PLEASE add this feature if you only sell in person/brick&mortar. It helps our associates know which item to choose to process at checkout by combining a visual representation as well as a description. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD THIS!

  18. We are using the Manual Transaction App to purchase inventory in a Buy/Sell setting. Clover does not currently have a purchasing option which causes us to use this work around to feed into our accounting software.

    It would be wonderful if there were more features within the Manual Transaction App to allow for us to provide more information on these purchases.

    A custom drop down of Payment method, Created by, and Notes would be wonderful

    Potentially having the ability to scan existing SKUs and apply cost paid for them. Instantly billing them and adding them into inventory.

  19. In the Search bar whether in Register or in Inventory, instead of just one keyword, multiple keywords can be used, and they don't have to be in order.

    For example, if you have an item called "dog food", you can find it by typing "food dog"

  20. Would there be a way to edit all variants from a single product at the same time and not having to click into each different variant. It would be nice to be able to edit the cost, price, SKU, tax, quantity, etc all from the same screen. For example, we have products that have over 40 different variants. We have to now go into each one and change all of those items listed above for each different variant. Whereas, if it was all on one screen we would be able to do it all at once making adding and editing…
