There are a lot of ways to take a payment. Provide your ideas to help advance Clover’s payments acceptance process here. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Virtual Terminal: Provide all feedback on the Virtual Terminal in this category. How can we make this solution more useful for merchants?

2. Refunds/Exchanges: If you have any feedback on Clover’s refund or exchange functions please let us know here.

  2. The clover used to delete transactions on tips app whenever it was a new day and now it could confuse the merchants because all the transactions are there.

When an owner sets permission on employee app for refunds to only be allowed by an admin or manager, Merchant notices that on the reporting app under employee report, the refund is not reporting on the original employee that took the original payment, it is being recorded under the admin or manager because they are the last one who handled that transaction, however this is very inconvenient on the reports as I think it should be reported under the person who took the original payment as managers and admins are not the cashiers, they just want to secure that employees…

  4. We have tens of thousands of items in our inventory and it's tax free wknd. Some items don't apply for tax free so we need the capability to take taxes off of individual items so we don't have to do multiple transactions at the register. Need capability to take it off at the time of the sale. thank you.

  8. FastPay to have a $20 option, since this is what most people pay with.

    Currently, if there is a low ticket price items (ie. $4, there is only a few options, the closest denominations to $4, but no $20)

  9. Customize Sales Tax
    The store should be able to set the luxury tax for some products.
    For some products, the sales tax only comes from which is above a certain price.
    Or the system should have automated tax rate based on locations.

  11. ISO called on behalf of the Merchant. They had a chargeback for a transaction but was searching payment info from the grand total, not subtotal without the tip. The tip amount was more than the transaction amount but that caused them to not be able to locate the payment info requested by the bank in time. We did educate the proper way to search but he still wanted that search option to be change to grand total with tip and tax amount included.

  13. We would very much like to have the mandatory invoice number feature, from the payments settings, work with the hosted checkout payment links.

    This is a must-have feature for matching a payment someone is making without having to search for their name, etc. I see others have asked for something similar to this almost a year ago.

    We can't make this work for our business without this feature.

  14. please generate an option for the costumers to save credit card information in their profile for future payments when using a secure email payment request. (invoice)

    My app provide subscription plans but as soon as I migrating the costumers to clover I have been sending monthly manually invoices for their subscriptions.
    My app was controlled by stripe, and we are testing clover. But meanwhile some costumers are cancelling because its causing a negative impression when before was auto from my own app.

    Any solution?

  15. It would be great if invoices from recurring payments could be changed from failed to paid or even deleted once completed. Also would like to be able to pause individual clients within the recurring payment programs instead of only being able to pause all or none. Lastly would like to be able in recurring payments to adjust the payment date when needed without having to delete the person and readd them.

  16. You should be able to revise customer payment information. We have a lot of customers that are on a monthly subscription with us. There are times when they have to get a new card and we need to be able to update that customer's information with the new card. OR a minor change like that CC expired and we need to be able to update the credit card exp date. Simple things like that would sure be useful rather than having to delete the entire customer and set them back up again.

  17. In the old system we used, our clients on recurring payment would sometimes pay their monthly draft in person before the draft occurred. We called that "COLLECT AT CLUB". That would cancel out their upcoming payment and mark them as having paid that month's draft. This does not exist in Clover but what could make this doable would be to allow the START DATE (or NEXT PAYMENT DATE) to be edited like the End Date is.   19. Customers who regularly order online but have gift cards are not able to order online using the gift cards. This needs to be changed because it's no different than them using them in store. Our loyal customers want this!

  20. Currently can only resend an invoice once. This is not enough for alot of people who aren't organized. Need the ability to resend more than one time.
