Ability To Make Items Non-Inventory
Items like services do not need to be counted as inventory, only the sales need to be tracked. It would be really handy to be able to mark items as Non-Inventory (all the same functions for price, cost, etc as usual) and still have them as a sellable item. Services are not inventory!

Tax Exemption Tag for Customer Accounts
Customer accounts should be able to be tagged as Tax Exempt so that we don't have to be reminded every time we ring a particular customer up - especially when we are selling to companies and schools with an exemption.

Do not allow duplicate items to be keyed into the hardware.
It would be good to not allow duplicate items to be keyed into the hardware.
I spend a lot of time editing existing clover inventory/menu export lists.
Clover allows merchants to key in duplicate items form the hardware but you cannot import this inventory list into another location because you will get an error.1 vote -
Ability to change Customer after order is placed
Managers and up should be allowed to change the customer after an order is placed without having to refund the order. Sometimes orders are processed under the wrong name, we shouldn't have to perform a refund and then process the order again to change the customer.

Cash Drawer Security Ideas
I have a QSR merchant that is counter-service with cashier's, we've been playing with a few ideas for theft prevention as one of the most common ways for employees to steal from the restaurant is manipulating the till.
As a QSR restaurant, they have a very small menu and the prices are very easy to memorize for the cashiers. What is concerning is that the cashier can keep the till open without any alarm, alert, or any notice to the management whatsoever.

Sort functionality in Items and Categories view
When in the Item or Category view, add Sort functionality (in ascending and descending order) to all columns: Price, Cost, Categories, On POS, Tax, Available, Modifier Groups, Stock Counts, etc.

Color Coding for items not automatic
I do like that now it is possible to color code a category -- and thru the dashboard, choose to have that color to apply to all items in that category. HOWEVER -- if you add a new item to a category, it does NOT automatically become that color! You have to go back, every single time, and then click a bunch of stuff to make each new item your color. Small changes to make "items" section more user friently
In the items section the width of the columns should be able to adjusted. Some items that have longer names get cut off.
When searching for an item in the register app could there be a way to sort the items in the search by price (highest to lowest or vice versa)2 votes -
Make inventory count available for DoorDash Drive and DoorDash.
Please allow inventory counts for all items including the DoorDash Drive orders that appear in my orders app. My inventory is currently not affected by any DoorDash orders and it could easily be a big problem. Right now the only way to prevent selling a sold out item is to make the item unavailable for both clover online orders and DoorDash orders, which is unsatisfactory.

Send Refund Receipts
Sales Activity -> Transactions -> Refunds
When we are in the Details of a refund there is no option to Send Receipt. Can we get the button to Send Receipt similar to the Payments tab? As it stands it is far too manual a workaround process to manually send a refund receipt to a customer when one is requested.

Return to place when searching/editing inventory
Currently, when editing inventory, it brings the user back to the top of the list every time. This is extremely cumbersome with a large (4,000+ item) inventory such as mine. Every time I need to edit multiple items, I have to scroll back down several pages just to get back to where I left off in the list. Thank you!

Apps is always populated to the top of the ticket - deserts are always populated at the bottom of the ticket
For a smoother and efficient process for the kitchen (especially when we have a big group) allow the system to always populated the appetizers to the top of the ticket and deserts is always populated to the bottom

Option to email closeout report for Clover Go merchants
The option to email the closeout report has been removed from the Dashboard with a recent update. This is problematic for merchants that only use Clover Go. There is also no setting in the Clover Go app that allows for this as well. Please bring back the setting to email the closeout report either on the Dashboard or in the Clover Go app.

employee permission
employee permission on what they can view. when my staff opens up to create an invoice all my total sales show on the screen. i do not want my staff to see that. it should only show create invoice and in another screen there should be previous invoices. and screen should be accounting reports

Shifts - Logging Staff Out
We need the ability to use the app to LOG OUT staff who forgot to log out and LOG IN staff who forgot to log in. Make life easier and have less payroll issues.

Name assigned to email address needs to be editable
The wrong name was used when the initial account was created. You are unable to edit the name on an employee, and even if you delete the employee account and create a new account with the correct name the system will automatically change the name to the wrong original name attached to that email address.
Our RM has advised that the email is like a “fingerprint” in the Clover ecosystem. However it was originally input, errors or not, the system will always revert back to the original. Names should be able to be changed/updated/fixed - at least by the admin/owner.…

Staff Codes
It would be nice to be able to download the staff - codes - roles to excel. So we can easily see user codes. We have staff that works at two of our companies and it would be nice to easily see what codes they are using to build in other companies.
Or if we have linked companies ..... have an option to build them in more then one company at time of building.1 vote -
Filter Orders by Tax Rates
Merchant would like to filter orders by tax rate. That way it is easier to determine which transactions and orders have which tax applied to them to ensure rules by order type is working.
