There are a lot of ways to take a payment. Provide your ideas to help advance Clover’s payments acceptance process here. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!

  1. Currently the New Clover Go app displays the new sale screen by Items only. If you want to filter the items by a category you have the ability to select the "categories" option in the top left corner and it will filter out the items to only the items in that particular category.

    It would be very helpful if there was a setting option in the Clover Go app to change the sale screen display to a category view. Just as it was on the G1 app before. That way, instead of the merchant viewing all their items and then…

  2. Payment links should be able to categorize payments coming in. By it not categorizing the payments it makes all reporting functions in the POS null in void as all online payments made just get thrown into uncategorized and then cannot be changed. We run a business that is not a restaurant and the payment links are not a benefit as you loose track of all income if you take any online payments. It is also very inconvenient for our customers not to be able to make payments online with clover.

  3. Currently the ACH option when selected is not mobile friendly and looks poorly designed. It would be great if there were an option to disable this and only allow for card payment.

    Hello, 

    Thanks for your feedback. Are you referring to ACH acceptance within the Clover Hosted Checkout solution? If so, Merchants can already disable ACH within the Clover dashboard. 

    Other questions we have about this are whether you're requesting the ability to disable ACH only on mobile OR enhance the layout so that mobile ACH renders properly.

  4. It would be most helpful if there was a feature on the Clover Virtual Terminal Payment Link that would allow the cardholder to check a box if they would like to pay the convenience fee.

    This would benefit many merchant, most notably charities that take donations on their website.

  5. Most customers prefer to enter their credit card for recurring payments. As a business owner I should be able to setup a recurring payment plan for a patient and request the patient to enter the payment card. This way we are not manually entering the patient's card details. This feature is available in Loyalzoo Memberships app. This feature would be a great addition to Clover Dashboard

  6. When a merchant adds a discount and it is for a large amount of line item like 90 @ $7.99 each the discount is rounded up or down to nearest $.50. The discount calculation should be for the exact discount amount. It creates problems with returns and for reconciling within Quickbooks.

  7. We just add the Clover Mini 2 and attached a Clover Mini Keypad. There is a toggle button that allows you to switch between sales and refunds. On the first day of using the new card reader, one of the users accidentally changed from sale to refund and processed 2 transaction before realizing the error.

    There is no way to disable the refund functionality on the Clover Mini Keypad (I spoke with the Clover Technical group that confirmed the refund feature could not be disabled). We like using the keypad to push the credit card amount to the Clover Mini.…

  8. Allow the option to do enter country code/phone number or skip on clover go g2. Clover go g1 is being phased out and the option is not availed on the g2 app.

REDISPLAY the order back to clover dining if the order was refunded as it has an open balance, Manager refunds a transaction of an employee due to incorrect tender type, the order that was paid to the incorrect tender type the order should return back to clover dining app as it has an open balance. Right now, that erroneous order of the employee shows in the orders app as “refunded” in red letter versus having it open in yellow letters because that order has an open balance.   10. Remove the automatic BOLD disclosure of the service charge on the bill.

    This should be an option if the merchant wants it disclosed on the bill. This causes less tipping for servers in clover dining

  11. It would be nice for an option for an "employee discount" button in the discounts menu that will put all items at "item cost" for employees instead of us having to ring each item individually.

  12. Would like to have a button for extra service charges on a Holiday - e.g Xmas or New Year's Day or a large group service - e.g a party or event. Sometimes some restaurant customers don't tip enough. This will incentivize our employees working during holidays & avoid absences then for an event of large group, for clean up service.

    In Australia, tipping is not required but restaurants automatically have a holiday charge if they remain open & provide service on a holiday. This should be applicable here in the US, too. However, restaurant owners have the prerogative to do…

  14. On the Flex, there is a cancel button while the transaction is being processed only for contactless payments. This cancel button does not appear for any other transaction type such as EMV chip. Would like to have this cancel button removed for contactless payments.

  15. The merchant would like the ability to accept dynamic currency without the use of hardware. No workaround available workaround at this time. Also, make the feature available for use with card holders other than Visa and Mastercard

  16. Tipping option should appear after the self payment system on Clover mini just like Square payment device. Or we can set up the function as before or after the credit payment is done. Sometimes customers put their credit card on the screen and press the tip option on the screen and assume the payment process is done. Then we have to explain that it's not done and the customer become skeptical because they have used to square device. Can we uniform the process just like major POS system, please?

  18. On the flex device, if a CVV is input incorrectly the entire transaction must be restarted.

    Rather than retyping the entire credit card number again it would make sense to have a back button, and the clear button seems to be perfect for this. When the data is cleared from press 1, pressing clear a 2nd time should return you to the previous screen.

    Similarly, when a manual entry is declined it would be nice to have the data still in place for a second attempt but with the option to edit the price.

  19. Bring back the Manual Card Entry button. Otherwise make the button optional so that we can turn it on for staff profiles as desired.

    I understand the type of fraud we are avoiding by not having the button customer facing. But it should be optional at the management level. In our location all sales are manual entry so this change has caused several additional steps per transaction and will require some light but unnecessary staff retraining, then will continue to waste time per transaction with new steps every single time.

    Thank you for your suggestion, but this request does not align with our current priorities. Our position is that customers must never have the option to type their own card. 

    If merchants require manual entry on your Flex, you can use the phone sale app. If using the Register app, you can use the Mail/Phone Order button when selecting a payment method.

  20. Would like to have the ability to re-order how the tip options are laid out during the check out process on Station DUOs or Station 2s + mini combos. Would like to move the Skip option to the bottom under all the other tip options.
