Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. I am needing to be able to turn the printer option off when each order comes through online. I don't need each order printed since to me that is a waste of paper and for my business we look each order up in our system. We don't need the paper version printed. (i'm not a restaurant)

    Also, I don't need to allow customers to schedule a pickup time/day. Is there a way to hide that feature or turn it off?

  2. Sample Real Life Case: Merchant only has the Clover Go app on mobile to process payments. Merchant is currently using inventory through the Clover Go app on mobile. Merchant purchases a Clover Compact, which is provisioned to the Clover account. All but the Payments SaaS plan are removed leaving the merchant unable to use the inventory features. Please fix!

  3. The information should display the banking information actually being used.

    I had merchants being billed to an old bank account that is different from what is displayed. This was not a sync issue since it had been going on for months.

  4. Restore lost functionality to inventory screens.
    The columns in categories does not hold changes made top which columns are displayed, even if you click "save"
    Next time your in the screen they have reverted back to default.
    Why even have a "In Stock" column when what you need is "stock Count"
    I waist too much time changing these back to what I need, every time go go into the category inventory screens.
    The columns used to stay put until the most resent update when a lot functionality went away, including being able to scan a UPC or enter an items…

  5. When an item has been upgraded or exchanged on an open order, the original must be deleted and the new item added. This still shows the item on the removed items report, but since it was an exchange or upgrade, then it doesn't reflect the transaction properly.

  6. For the Clover Subscription "Growth Retail" we need the option to include delivery so products can be shipped to the customer's location instead being picked up at the location. Similar to xxxxx eCommerce delivery.

  7. We should be able to copy/multiply modifier groups so that we don't have to create almost the same modifier groups for different items. It would save a lot of time!

  8. When an invoice is paid, the owner of the account receives an email notifying them that the payment has been made. However, it would be nice if the owner could add a second person's email address (like the accountant).

  11. Team, The new dashboard version removed adding inventory with decimal places. I buy and sell an item that is by weight and not in exact whole numbers. Please allow adding and removing inventory with decimal places.

  12. I would like a way to price items including tax. My example is I charge $4.50 for an item "including tax". Our sales tax is 6%. If I set the price for 4.24 w/.25 tax, it comes to 4.49. If I set price for 4.25 w/.26, tax it comes to 4.51. Is there a way to do that or possibly in the future? Thanks!

  13. Clover Dashboard settings should be mirrored on the Clover Devices.

    An admin should be able to make changes to all device settings from the device or from the dashboard.

    You should not have to log into the dashboard to make device setting change.

  14. Currently the invoice payment notification only comes to the email owners account. It should be able to come to an email that the owner sets as the email. We have staff that sends out the invoices but the only way they know someone has paid is if the owner tells them they got the notification in their owners email box. This should be able to be set to go wherever the owner wants it, because this is inefficient for the owner otherwise.

I purchased 5 different terminals from Clover including a Clover Kiosk station, flex, duo, and minis only to find out that the pricing for the kiosk items are the same as what's displayed online. We charge different prices for online orders using clover integration with uber, door dash as these third party companies charge a huge cut. I do not understand why a kiosk that is processing orders instore have to be categorized with online orders and not with the pos such as the flex. Im trying everyway to work around this issue by not assigning items to categories to…

  17. We want the ability to have the (Clover Dining) Table QR Codes to point to different menus. The use case is that when people are dining in we want to allow them to order pastries like croissants. However, if they order online via direct link to the clover menu, or 3rd party, they should not be able to order pastries. Another example would be alcohol, can't have people ordering that online, because they must be in-person to check ID.

    Perhaps there could be a separate Menu Channel for each table in Clover Dining. Or at least a separate Menu Channel…

  18. When someone orders a double, I’d like to be able to just double the price of the liquor selected. Since every alcohol has a different price, my only option is to make a unique modifier for every single bottle of booze, instead of just 1 modifier that has a variable price depending on the item being doubled.

  19. Ability to have QR Code that a customer can pay and add tip. For example, a ice cream stand that doesn't want Clover devices but wants to be able to accept cc by the customer scanning qr code and an employee will tell them what is owed, the customer then pays with Apple Pay or Google and it prompts for payment with tip.

    Its regarding our business ours and edit information but mainly about the hours.
    we have relocated our business address recently and so we also have changed our operating hours , i have tried endless times to edit the hours from manager dashboard under edit business information and it just wouldnt save, i have called support many times and all they helped me with is tell me…
