Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. option to add a name or a description to the guest inside the clover dinning. this would be much easier than guest 1...2...3...to keep track of them.

  3. When creating a Rule by Order Type it makes you select each individual item. I suggest that you add an option to select all items from within a category. Or an option to apply the rule to an entire category.

  4. While being able to upload photos is wonderful, having the ability to upload only 1 photo is a bit frustrating for online sales. Not being able to highlight certain intricacies of an item doesn't bode well for online sales

  5. My daughter and I share the bookkeeping job. When she is here, she has trouble signing in at times as it sends the security code to my phone. If I am not near my phone she is out of luck. Can we have two cell phones to receive from so she can pick hers. Thank you

  6. I think it would be useful to have the option to "Remove Taxes From Order" permission assigned to groups of users instead of all users.

  7. I need to be able to enter 20 items and have the receipt show 20 items, the individual cost, and the subtotal. Not just 20 items and subtotal. Customer needs to know how much they paid per item (tree) and not have to do the calculation. Only other option is for the same item to show up 20 times on the receipt, which is hard to count.

  10. When you have 0 qty and you sell that item this should now say -1 in inventory rather than staying at 0. This helps tracked wrong items sold etc.. by employees rather than thinking someone is stealing things. This is how it was since we have used clover (5 years) until the most recent update.

  11. Option to expand the name tab or any other tab in the inventory app so the full name of an item can show.

    if a item name is too long the system just cut the item name off merchant explain its very important to see the full name since most of the items have the same name except for the last word, we tried to expand the tab that show the name but the tab is default at one size we are unable to expand it.

  12. Currently, I can add Online Service Hours, days and times. If I only serve breakfast items in the morning, I would like to be able to set that category or items with shorter Service Hours.

  13. Allow tables to be assigned to a "section" and allow a section to be assigned to a server.

    This would allow a Host/Hostess to easily see how many tables are occupied for a specific server. They will be able to make sure tables are spread out between servers more evenly.

  14. It's been a long time since this bug was introduced and even though I'm not an expert on software engineering it seems like such a basic simple thing that is bugging a lot of customers that is hard to believe it would take weeks to fix.

  15. I would like to suggest that the clover software update have an option to allow duplicate printing on the order printers. It would be helpful because when we send an order to the kitchen, we need the kitchen printer to have two copies printed, one for the chefs and one for the expos.

    Right now, we have to send the original order, then resend by going into the orders app. This is time consuming during rush hours.

  16. At the moment, it appears as though custom modifiers that staff add to an item in a fine dining restaurant are automatically shown on a customer bill when printing the customer bill. There appears to be a setting to hide them on customer receipt. However, 95% of most fine dining establishments provide their customers with a paper copy of their bill. It's very embarassing for some customers who are part of a group and if the company / CEO is paying the bill, they can see the custom modifiers that are non-priced (i.e. No dairy, lactose intolerant, etc.) for an…

  18. Ability to change the server for an order done in the register app, and to get the time that each server assisted the order that was change, to be able to split the tip properly without the need to erase the open form a server and re-open it in the new server.

  19. We continue to have issues with our inventory system due to common scenario when a customer calls in an order or emails an order. The problem is we are unable to enter the order into clover without them paying for it at that time. What happens we can enter the order and save it, but it doesn’t take the product out of inventory. While we wait for the customer to come in and pay, someone else on line or in store can still purchase the item and buy it from underneath the customer who has it on hold because it…

  20. The system should allow customers who order through someones COLO site to Opt In to marketing from the merchant. This should add that information to the Customers app on Clover.
