Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  2. We would you like to know time between when an order is placed and when it is marked as fulfilled or completed. This will help improve customer satisfaction but also can be tool for training and promotion.

  3. 'Signature & Tip Location' on BOTH device, and receipts. Businesses that run volume through transactions via a customer queue line/station need to be able to occasionally print receipts for this.

  4. We are paperless and do not print receipts. The only option we want to show on the forward/customer facing kiosk is "No Receipt, Email Receipt, Text Receipt." There should be an option to customize what options we offer for receipts.

  5. Clover Kiosk needs the ability to include a customer input field during the order process, allowing customers to enter either:

    A buzzer number (for merchants using pagers for pickup orders), or

    A table number (for merchants offering table tents for dine-in service).

    The field should be customizable by the merchant, with the ability to:

    Enable or disable it

    Choose the label (e.g., “Enter Buzzer Number” or “Enter Table Number”)

    Make it required or optional based on the merchant's workflow

    This would significantly improve the kiosk experience for businesses that use buzzers or table service and help streamline order fulfillment.

  6. Need a option/process to track Courtesy/Spills in Restaurant/Bar environment to account and report for these items, with out it affecting the sales numbers on the reports. Once the order is open & printed to Kitchen/Bar and an event occurs to the order and it is declared a loss/spill or courtesy. The order will remain unpaid and declared a loss/courtesy, it needs to appear on daily report and be tracked weekly/monthly/annually for reporting to government agencies. Specially on liquor.

  7. I want to be able to disable/hide a menu category from the POS devices without fully removing it. If a menu category is unused at the moment, we should be able to hide it without deleting the category to keep the items there and not have to rebuild the menu items if they come back in the future.

  8. In restaurants with bars, generally the server needs to tip out the bar on bar sales. We need to have a breakdown by category or revenue class available on the device. It's too cumbersome to have to go through all of the steps using the dashboard, and many shift supervisors and even managers do not have access to the web dashboard. Additionally, you want to be able to print the report and attach to server check outs to be turned in to owner or accounting or whomever. Please do this ASAP.

  9. Please make it so that surcharge collected is reported separately from total sales on batch reports and closeout information.

  10. Please add a clock to the KDS screens so the kitchen staff can always easily know what time it is just by glancing at the screens. My screen shows the time as a screensaver when it’s slow, but when we’re busy we just see the tickets with no way to know what the current time is.

    This is useful for rake/out orders that a setup for a specific pickup time. Example “Susan 7:15pm pickup” I should be able to look at the screens and have a small clock somewhere so I can easily keep track of time.

  11. Can we please add an option in the Order Receipts to have as optional to add the vehicle description for curbside pickup. I know you can add it under notes but notes are used for other information.

  12. Make label printers work like any other kitchen printer. They need to be network printers where print labels are used to fire prints. It should support both types of labels, die cut and linerless. Also, labels should be able to be printed from KDS.

  13. In clover dining app there are no restrictions for employees to remove the automatic Additional Charges from an order. There should be a permission where Only admins are allowed to remove additional service charge or have manager/admin passcode approval to remove additional charges on dine-in sections only. There should be a permission approval.

    Currently there is an Operational Loss when customer is paying cash, the employee gives the bill to the customer, and customer pays in cash, some servers/employees found a loophole to remove the auto gratuity service charge in the Clover Dining app since there are no restrictions in…

  14. Hello, with the situations with the restaurants, specially with mine, I am always short staffed for the past few months. This means, many customer calls are missed while our staff is serving dine-in customers. So, the idea is to route all the calls to our remote staff who can take all the orders from the customers and place the orders remotely via clover app. This way, if the customer calls are handled, then the staff onsite can take care of the dine-ins. I understand there few prep works and coordination needed, but that's doable than loosing the business itself

  16. On the printed Order Receipt/ Expo Receipt, please allow us to modify the header, so that it doesn't just say "Clover Online Shopping Pickup." We attach these receipts to customer orders, so would like to be able to put our brand name (and logo!) on the header.

  17. On Clover order receipts, the employee name is currently bolded, while the customer name is not. This makes it difficult for staff to quickly identify which order belongs to which customer, especially during busy hours or when multiple orders are being prepared at once.

    Please update the receipt formatting so that the customer name is bolded or otherwise made more visually prominent than the employee name. This small change would improve order accuracy and efficiency in customer-facing environments.

  18. When Applying discounts it discounts the whole ticket. We would like to be able to apply our military discount to just the veterans meal and not the whole ticket. Please and thank you!

  19. Allow the creation of recipes that allow assignment of inventory items and ingredients that increases/decreases counts upon receipt/use/creation of items, sub-items and ingredients for menu and non-menu items.

  20. My servers need to be able to print a report that will show individual transactions with the gratuity listed also. This will greatly help us identify errors and every processor I have ever used has this function. I can't be the only restaurant that needs this function.
