Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. It would be incredibly helpful to have a report that shows how many items are sold per hour, broken down by product and category. This feature would allow merchants to easily identify their peak sales hours and understand which products perform best at different times of the day.

    With this insight, businesses can make smarter decisions regarding staffing, promotions, and inventory planning.

  2. When the servers has a refund, only the manager has the power to refund the item, when they look at the report, is not under the server but is shown under the manager who did the refund. I would like to have any type of permission to let the server click refund, then ask for the manager code and then after the refunds is clear, I need them to be under the server report

  3. Allow a configurable delay for firing to the Kitchen Printer when the option to print when Save or Pay is tapped to allow for declined payments.

  5. Merchants using Online Ordering with Clover and have Grubhub ,Doordash, UberEats integrated. When implementing stock count on the inventory, anything that gets ordered from online "Grubhub, Doordash, UberEats" should deduct the stock count automatically.

  6. Ability to add different service charge percentage or fixed fee for different sections of clover dining table mapping. Example Dine-In section 15% to go order 5% banquet hall section 10% but all sections are working tables that are simultaneously be used live in a site.

  8. With the new Station Duo, when the customer inserts or taps their card, the pre-auth/pay window does not automatically show up on the station window allowing the client to pre-auth the card, it rquires extra input.

    Thank you for your feedback on the Station Duo pre-auth capabilities. Given the card slot is only available on the customer facing device we have explicitly designed the system to require an instruction from the merchant facing device to open a pre-auth and start the customer facing device to take payment. Currently, we are not planning any changes to this workflow.

  9. I need a negative variable option so I can add Lotto Paid Out and Scratcher Paid Out because using the Pay Out app has too many steps and time consuming. We sell a lot of Lotto and Scratchers and payout winners. It needs to be show up on the register, because we would have to pay the person out first before they can buy more. It would be easier to ring them up at the same time and it would tell us how much they owe or how much they need to pay.

  10. for online orders you need to be able to schedule holidays in advance so that you don't have to manually turn online orders on / off - which can lead to owners or staff forgetting to turn it back on - you should be able to add a 'holiday' schedule for online ordering

  11. Hello Clover,

    It would be extremely helpful to have the preparation time setting in Clover automatically add an additional amount of preparation time the merchant can set for online orders that exceed a certain dollar amount.

    For example, lets say the merchant wants to have Clover automatically add an additional 30 mins of preparation time for orders that exceed $100. It would be great if the merchant can edit theses parameters under the "Preparation Time" setting in Online Ordering Dashboard instead of just setting a specific preparation time.

  12. As a bakery that takes pre-orders for future fulfillment, we need the ability to enter the customer name, and date and time of pickup in a way that can be sent with the ticket to a KDS. Tickets also need to be able to be sent to different departments within the bakery, cake, bread, etc. Finally each department needs to be able to view the future orders from a daily, weekly and monthly view for planning yields, expenses, etc.

  13. We support a very busy bar that is concerned with preventing theft. They do over 2 million in sales a year, so preventing Bartenders & Servers from deleting an item from an order all together was considered too restrictive. Turning that option on had them ready to take Clover out the next day.

    We currently have "Edit printed items without override" turned off for Servers & Bartenders in an attempt to limit theft. Unfortunately, this prevents the Bartenders from being able to select the + on a previously ordered item when a customer orders a 2nd or 3rd round of…

  14. I need price roll up without having to make a new modifier for additional items. Price roll-up to combine the costs of multiple items into a single line item with a consolidated price. The primary purpose is to simplify transactions for customers by hiding complex breakdowns and presenting a clean, unified total on receipts. Example; a Burger cost 10.99 and below it says
    Bacon $1.00
    Cheese $1.00
    Onions $1.00
    Mushrooms $1.00
    Avocado $2.00.

    With Price Roll Up it will show on the receipt Burger 16.99 and below it will show
    Bacon
    Cheese
    Onions
    Mushrooms
    Avocado

  15. During the entering orders quickly, if we need to cancel one and add a new item to the list, customer facing screen does not update. Deleted item does not seen on the invoice however Customer see it in his screen. Creates conflict with customers and break the trust.

  17. In the Clover app and desktop application, cash sales are not included in the first screen. Even in the batch reports, cash income has not been seen. Needed to dig in to see the actual income. Creats unsecure idea and conflicts

  18. When we press Pay, the system sends the order to the kitchen printer. Actually, in this stage, the Customer does not pay yet. We see another screen to choose a payment type, such as cash or credit card. If the customer cancels the order or add something to the order or his credit card declines, we can not control the order.   20. There Should Be More Online Ordering Options Offered For The Merchants Sake!

    Example:

    My Set Pickup Time Is For 25mins. This time Frame works about 80% of the time but what happens when you get a massive order in that takes up your whole kitchen space and is not able to be ready within 25mins?

    Its already too late to change anything on my settings because the order came through with a pickup time of 25 mins. Now my staff and kitchen are screwed because clover doesn't offer the Merchant any options to either accept the orders or at least…
