Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Customer wants their order receipts in their Clover Kiosk to show "PAY AT REGISTER" and "PLEASE TAKE THIS TICKET TO REGISTER AND COMPLETE PAYMENT" in Spanish since the merchant is located in Puerto Rico where the initial language is Spanish. It is creating problems for him since not all consumers know English and are disgusted with him because of the long wait. We need the merchant to be able to count on a system that does not create issues.

  2. Fast service is vital to a restaurant. Would like a report that tracks restaurant performance metric "Time per order". Would like to see it by hour, by day, trends over time.

  3. Need ability to "Edit Menu Prices" for selected items not just the entire menu. We have a menu that is marked up by 30%. When I add a new menu item, it is not marked up and there is no way to do it, other than duplicating the item. Now you have 2 items to manage for 1 item. Ideally would like the "Edit Menu Prices" feature to be applied to only the selected items.

  4. We are a brewery that sells many merchandise items, clothing, hats, sweatshirts, glassware etc. Of the items we sell: beers, cans of to-go beer, glassware, signs, growlers etc. we can add an inventory number to the item, which subtracts from the inventory when we sell that item. This works perfectly for our inventory tracking, showing the total number of the items still in inventory after each day.

    For clothing items this system is not helpful or useable as it will show the number of total shirts, not what is needed, the inventory number of each different size of the shirts.…

  5. We should be able to copy/multiply modifier groups so that we don't have to create almost the same modifier groups for different items. It would save a lot of time!

  6. We should be able to add menu items to our online menu from the device. We used to be able to do this with the "online" column in the inventory app. Clover has taken the entire column away, making the only way to add an item through the dashboard. This is not convenient.

  7. Why did Clover take away the column for 'Online' in the inventory app on the device? Seems the only way to remove an item is now through the dashboard. This is not easier when a restaurant is busy. We need a way to remove (not just grey out and say "unavailable") a menu item from the online menu. It was there until a couple of months ago.

  8. When the merchant sends a invoice the customer should have the option to leave a tip and make a partial payment this way the merchant does not have to waste time sending out another invoice.

  9. We need a way to close a drawer during a shift that only batches the drawer we are closing!

    For instance, I have two pos Stations with the same MID #. If I count down or close one drawer to start a new shift, and batch it so someone else can use it, It also batches the other drawer at the same time. There is no way to separate one drawer from the other.

  10. third party online sales and sales taxes should be excluded on the report, or reported separately because they pay the taxes, so i get the clear picture of taxes owed to state, county and city, right now its included in the total sales.

  12. I have a huge issue with the clover kiosk.
    some of my items has a lots of modifiers and it seems like on the kiosk they make a limit on how many modifires you can have which I think it is a programing mistake because we don't have this issue on the Due station so now my customers can not see all their modifiers options on the kiosk.
    second the All Item option on the kiosk has to be takin offfffffff pleeeeeeease it confuse the customers and it suppose to be just an option for the staff on the due…

  14. I am Hossein, one of the managers of Diyako Cafe. We are using Clover systems, and we have a very important problem with that. In the case that we have more than one person on a table, and we serve some items to them, when the first person wants to pay for its order and leave and the other people remains, we can’t add any other items to the table. In this situation, the invoice is frozen and the only possible action is asking other guests to pay for their current bill, close the bill and open a new bill…

  16. We want the ability to have the (Clover Dining) Table QR Codes to point to different menus. The use case is that when people are dining in we want to allow them to order pastries like croissants. However, if they order online via direct link to the clover menu, or 3rd party, they should not be able to order pastries. Another example would be alcohol, can't have people ordering that online, because they must be in-person to check ID.

    Perhaps there could be a separate Menu Channel for each table in Clover Dining. Or at least a separate Menu Channel…

  17. We are experiencing an issue with the tipping process on CLOVER terminals when guests use Tourism Vouchers and our restaurant-generated Gift Cards as part of their payment. Currently, guests are prompted to add a tip based on the discounted amount, which can lead to under-tipping on the overall service received.

    We propose an enhancement to the tipping workflow:

    Tipping on Full Amount: Modify the terminal to prompt guests to first add a tip based on the full amount of the check before any discounts are applied.
    Payment Process: After the guest has added their tip, the terminal should then prompt…

  18. New updates do not make logical sense for restaurants. When managing items day to day, there generally is not time to log in to the dashboard, then go through all the steps (9 I believe), just to take an item off. Additionally most employees do not have access to the web dashboard. This creates issues with items being ordered that the restaurant is out of. It would be great if industry professionals were more involved before making changes that will untimately lose merchants.

  19. Under Transaction, an option is available to export Payments but the pre-configured report generated does not allow for user configuration/modification changes to capture additional data fields for data that is captured on the customer receipt.

    Additional fields required Item, Price, Categories, Modifiers.

    It seems a custom report is required but Clover Support can only suggest submitting request via User Voice instead of creating a support ticket. This should be an easy ask.

  20. Hi,
    We own a franchise business and have realized that the Clover POS system is not very franchise-friendly. For example, the reporting feature could be improved. It would be great if the POS had a function that automatically calculates cash deposits. I know there is a cash deposit category, but it’s not sufficient for our needs. Additionally, when updating the menu, I have more than 30 accounts under my master account. While we can switch between accounts easily, it would be much more convenient if we could update the menu across all accounts at once, as we manage the franchise…
