Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

  1. Enable restaurants to pre-assign menu items to courses (e.g., Appetizers, Entrées, Desserts) for automatic organization during order entry, eliminating errors and streamlining service.

  2. I have a Bepper system that works in my Food Court. The Kiosk must have an option where the customer has the option of taking a number and that it also appears printed on the ticket as an identifier of the order if the customer decides not to give their phone number for privacy reasons in order to locate them within the Food Court (8 restaurants and 30 tables).

  3. In the current version of the Clover dashboard, the option to getting the Clover online ordering link and QR code is not available under the Online Ordering. Could you please enable this feature

  4. Give customers who are sitting in the restaurant the ability to order from their table under their own individual tab. While currently you can order from the table with the print table barcode function, this only allows items to be added to the whole table, and not under each guests individual tab. Sorting the ordered items to the correct guests afterwards would take too much work and would lead to more order mixups, especially as you cannot currently name each guest.

  5. Merchant would like the items, categories and modifiers to be listed as they appear in the inventory app on the KDS, not how they appear now, which is the order by which the server puts in the order. This current method causes modifiers to be out of order and items to be possibly listed in the wrong order as well.

  6. Device Printed COLO QR Codes are not enabled for DDD Delivery! Only the QR codes at the dashboard are enabled with DDD delivery option. Most of our merchants do not have PC's/Printers. The ability to print QR codes that work for both pick up and Delivery should be an option.

  7. I just upgraded to Duo from our previous 2018 units. The customer facing screen of the Duo displays a receipt prompt at the end of every transaction, and I want to disable it.

  8. PLEASE ALLOW ADMINISTRATORS WHO ARE WORKING OFF SITE AND USING THE DASHBOARD THE ABILITY TO CLOCK OUT EMPLOYEES WHO ARE STILL CLOCKED IN.

  9. Please enable promo code / discount option for customers ordering online. This is must have feature for small restaurant businesses in Canada. Upon have a discussion with your representative, this service seems not being activated in Canada.

  10. All the major POS/Online Ordering platforms have the ability to handle promo codes or coupon codes for online ordering. It is a highly requested feature. Clover should integrate the discounts app with online orders.

  12. I need the option to disable the use of passcodes. At my restaurant, we operate using employee cards, which are currently only used by managers. However, I need to remove the requirement for managers to use passcodes. Additionally, we need the new Clover devices to be enabled to accept employee cards as well.

  13. I need to have a report that shows the exact time each item is entered, even if it’s going to the same table. Clover has a “line item” feature, but if I add 3 margaritas at different times, it only shows the time of the first margarita.

  14. Disable Checkout for Dine-In QR Code ordering. We would like to disable the feature for customers to Checkout for Dine-In QR Code ordering so our servers can process the payment for them. This creates some confusion because we don't know when someone has paid for their tab already.

  15. Give the option in online orders for Dine In or Pick Up because a lots of customers sit on the table and place an order through the clover online and we always package it as a To Go order and not even call the customer name because we are waiting for the customer to come and claim it and we get surprise that the customer has been at the restaurant sitting on the table before the order has been submitted witch cost us to repackage it as Dine in and we lose the freshness of the food that the customer…

  16. Modifier prices and names are the same as the items listed in Items List. Merchant would like the modifiers and items to be completely independent of item list in online menus.

  17. Currently you can Group line items for "order receipts" but this does not Group line items when printing to a Kitchen Printer. It comes out like this

  18. Give admin access to devices and printer. Why was it removed? If there are 3 owners to a business, you expect them to share 1 main account with 2-factor logins? Not sure why Clover keeps messing things up.

  20. When using the mobile version of Clover, the screen we use most often is our Sales Overview to review sales for the day. Often this page will compare our daily numbers to numbers yesterday or last week. Now that we've been in business for 1 year, we'd like to see our numbers compared to the same day last year. I was informed by Clover Tech Support that there is no setting to change this, and that you have to use the web browser version of Clover to search this data (which is not convenient).
