Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. Can we please add an option in the Order Receipts to have as optional to add the vehicle description for curbside pickup. I know you can add it under notes but notes are used for other information.

  2. Hello, with the situations with the restaurants, specially with mine, I am always short staffed for the past few months. This means, many customer calls are missed while our staff is serving dine-in customers. So, the idea is to route all the calls to our remote staff who can take all the orders from the customers and place the orders remotely via clover app. This way, if the customer calls are handled, then the staff onsite can take care of the dine-ins. I understand there few prep works and coordination needed, but that's doable than loosing the business itself

  3. Add a print status icon to the Clover Dining "tables" and "bar and more" items showing the print status of the table/order. Perhaps a printer logo colored red when nothing has printed, yellow when some item have printed and green when all items on a ticket have printed.

    Similarly add a kds icon perhaps displaying white for no activity, yellow for active orders, red for orders past the bump threshold and green when all items have been bumped.

    These enhancements would allow managers to quickly identify what tables/orders have fired to the kitchen and there completion progress. Takes too much…

  5. Clover Dining still does not have any sequenced check numbers. This is not a suggestion, this is a necessity to all restaurants that handle cash. I have been calling and posting for a while with no real regard for concern in return. Check numbers are pivotal to book keeping and making sure no one is stealing, So the lack of concern from Clover is real disheartening. All I'm being told is it can't be done, but every POS has this so I am very confused.

  6. On the printed Order Receipt/ Expo Receipt, please allow us to modify the header, so that it doesn't just say "Clover Online Shopping Pickup." We attach these receipts to customer orders, so would like to be able to put our brand name (and logo!) on the header.

  7. On Clover order receipts, the employee name is currently bolded, while the customer name is not. This makes it difficult for staff to quickly identify which order belongs to which customer, especially during busy hours or when multiple orders are being prepared at once.

    Please update the receipt formatting so that the customer name is bolded or otherwise made more visually prominent than the employee name. This small change would improve order accuracy and efficiency in customer-facing environments.

  8. Allow the creation of recipes that allow assignment of inventory items and ingredients that increases/decreases counts upon receipt/use/creation of items, sub-items and ingredients for menu and non-menu items.

  9. My servers need to be able to print a report that will show individual transactions with the gratuity listed also. This will greatly help us identify errors and every processor I have ever used has this function. I can't be the only restaurant that needs this function.

  10. Your tax reporting is INACCURATE.
    We need a clear way to determine meals taxes. THIS IS CRITICAL.
    Your tax statements and reports are a mess. We can not use what is in your reports as it blends POS taxes with delivery app taxes. We need a way to clearly show net sales and taxes from the POS.
    You currently show the amount collect from each order type at the bottom of your sales report. Please also add net sales and taxes for each order type.

  11. As part of our catering operations, we need the ability to view OPEN Orders that were entered at least 12 months in the past. We’ve been using the Clover system for four years, and until September 2024, we could access all open orders regardless of their age. However, we are now limited to viewing open orders that are 30 days old or less.

    This limitation creates significant challenges for our catering business. When customers call to make changes to catering orders placed more than 30 days ago, we’re unable to view or modify those orders in the system. Instead, we…

  12. We have employees that are seasonal. (they are in college during the fall and spring) but work for us in the summer and on breaks.

    We would like the ability to make the employee inactive so that they are not listed when we are trying to do things like
    -filter by employee when in transactions
    -trying to move a table to another employee
    -...

    To have to delete the employee and then re-add (having to enter all their information again) them when they come back is inefficient and a pain. Whereas, if we were able to just change a field…

  13. Currently, "description" is supposed to already included for export/import but that is not the case. Additionally, pictures is not an option. However, there is much more data that should be included with data transfer, that could be optional by the account owner. Make everything available and optional for export/import - including the current state (at the time of export) of each item.

  14. The updated 3Gen Solo device does not feature a tap or apple option like the 2Gen did on the printer. Why not set up the Flex device to have the same capabilities as a Mini device does but used at the drive thru widow? Then we can actually extend the device to the customer to tip and tap right out the window.

  15. There should have an option for the order printing, each printed ticket should able to auto-cut after each item or category to allow physical separation.

    This enables both preparation of the dishes and placing the receipt under each dish for table delivery guidance.

    use case example:

    In a busy restaurant, several tables place orders for sushi items that are prepared by the same chef and printed to the same kitchen printer. For instance:

    Table A orders: Sushi A ×1, B ×2, C ×3, D ×1, E ×2, F ×1

    Table B orders: Sushi A ×2, C ×2, D ×3, E…

  17. Following an update about three weeks ago, the ability to add a delivery address when creating a new customer within the Order app has been removed.

    Currently, they must:

    Leave the Order app,

    Go to the Customers app,

    Manually create the customer with their address,

    Return to the Order app to link the customer to the order.

    This adds unnecessary steps during busy service hours. Please consider restoring the ability to add a customer with an address directly during order entry. This was a valuable part of the workflow and its removal is causing frustration.

  18. Both of the End of Day reports are simply WAY TO LONG. It wastes a ton of paper. I only need a few figures from the report. Amt Collected, Tips, Total Credit Card Amt, entries for amounts taken out of the drawer (Payouts, tips, etc). I HATE THE NEW REPORTS - WAY TOO MUCH INFO just to check up the drawer.

  19. Need to have access to the setting for the Homebase Shift Report. Kitchen employees don't need to see PAYMENTS, REFUNDS, TIPS, SERVICE CHARGE on the printed shift report only what their shift time was when printing report.
