Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  2. Creating the option for support staff tip outs to be able to be auto calculated, by percentages of sales on sales report for each server

  3. Ability to select a modifier multiple times on the Clover Kiosk like you can do on the Clover Station Duo.

    This is relevant for QSR locations like coffee shops, bubble tea and dessert locations where a modifier can be selected up to 5x times. There can also be 30+ modifiers in these types of QSR locations.

  4. Please move move the updating of inventory tracking from the time the bill is paid to when the item is fired to the kitchen. If a restaurant has 5 units and all 5 are fired to the kitchen but not paid for yet a 6th unit could be added to an order even though the item is no longer available to sell

  5. I would like the ability to update an employee name without having to delete and re-setup. I have an employee who got married and I can't update her name. I have to delete her and set her back up from scratch.

  6. Options are everything! If an employee cannot have permission to perform a refund, clover should allow a manager or admin to use their fingerprint or password to allow the refund to occur under the employees own reporting. Current whomever does the refund — it goes under their reporting. We should have the permission to make it either way. All other good POS machine perform this way. Please add this feature. You have it already for discounts.

  7. Allow for Special Instructions on Online Ordering to be optional. Customers are taking advantage of asking for additional items on food, and employees are having a hard time figuring out if items that customers are listing under special instructions have been paid for or are needing payment collected. I tried to turn this Special Instructions off myself and there is no option to do so. I also called in to Clover to ask Tech Support to turn it off for me, they said this option is not optional to have removed.

  8. Create functionality to enter future delivery date/time that would work similar to online orders schedule at future time or dates and times. In addition add an interface that shows future orders to facilitate order fulfillment.

  9. Merchants would like to be able to automatically print to several order printers without the use of kitchen labels. Currently, if there are multiple printers, it has them select which to print to and manually reprint the order label if an additional copy is needed.

  10. Ability to add different Service Charges percentage for Clover Dining with detail report individual subtotals.
    This option of having more that one Service Charge is already implemented for some merchants, but the only problem is that in the report it is showed as the total of the Service Charges, not the individual subtotal for each one of the service charges. Also, this option of more that one Service Charge, must be implemented an offered for all the merchants. This is very important and urgent.

  12. Please find a way to limit Clover software updates to outside of business hours. We've heard a number of complaints about updates happening during peak hours that have been negatively impacting business

  13. Need feature for directly pushing clover go orders to printers.

    I am taking orders from outside the restaurant using call forwarding when my team is busy! I am able to save the orders but i have to call someone at the restaurant and they will the order and push to the printer…!

    They will be busy and missing printing which leads to delayed orders and customer grievances…!

    You guys are giving that feature to third parties like doordash, uber eats, grubhub, stream.. etc.! Why cant you donit from your own app

  14. We need the ability to add a customer to an order even after it is closed. Currently, if the order is completed, we are not able link the order to a customer. So, we are missing the ability to see customer history.

  15. When we take catering order via phone or email or even in-person, we need the ability to specify the date and time of the delivery or pick-up, and this can be in the future a few days or a few week later.

    Additionally, if we can also have an option to specify up the prep date, that will be helpful, so, the orders can show up on top of the order list and print the kitchen ticket, on the day of the preparation.

  16. Most of the top level restaurant per terminals have the ability to press a button to add or remove and that will bring up a pop-up option for different add-ons. This is what we need.

I have had a few restaurants that have bars included in the restaurant, and they would like to be able to have customization options on printing seats and the layout of the menu as far as categories based upon whether the device is at the bar or the devices in the restaurant we need to be able to differentiate the layout of the menu from one device to the other and we also need to be able to decide whether or not we want smart tipping or tip at the device as opposed to tip on the receipt between the…

  19. Need to be able to control which discounts are available per job code.

    Currently the discount permission is all or nothing. Meaning, a employee can either have the ability to discount or not discount.

    We are requesting the ability to assign discounts to certain job codes so that they can have access to some but not all discounts.

    It currently is all or nothing.

  20. Make order process quicker for customers that order/pay via QR code. They currently have to enter name, phone, email, then if they select mobile wallet payment such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, they must complete the reCAPTCHA grid. This is all time consuming for a cup of coffee. Thx
