Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. Create functionality to enter future delivery date/time that would work similar to online orders schedule at future time or dates and times. In addition add an interface that shows future orders to facilitate order fulfillment.

  2. We really need a way to be able to transfer/change the server name on closed orders. This way if a mistake is made and the order is transferred to a manager's name or someone who just helps close out the tab, the business can adjust this when they notice the error and transfer it back to the correct server and have all tip reports adjusted so that this displays correctly.

  4. Clover ONLINE needs to work WITHOUT Doordash AND ONLINE Menu needs ability to AUTO stop allowing Customers to order Breakfast items after a particular time ...

    Support Advised has to manually be done every day - Thats nuts ;-)

  5. CLOVER NEEDS to STOP REMOVING and CHANGING things without CONSIDERING END USER "NEEDS" - Such as ONLINE DELIVERY

    Clover needs to STOP making HOMEBASE the Timeclock Option - TERRIBLE Customer Support, FREEZES and keeps people from being to sign in - Disrespects value of time and makes terrible experience for Businesses

    WHY did Clover REMOVE "set up" option for Merchants to use their OWN DELIVERY and set parameters and Delivery Fee in the Dashboard for ONLINE Orders via Clover APP and Google Search???

    WHY are Merchants NOW "ONLY" given option for DELIVERY in Dashboard ..."VIA DOORDASH, etc...???!!!""

  6. Can we please get a repeat button in the clover dining app? I don't want to give every employee the ability to delete printed items so that they can repeat a drink order without having to search for the drinks again. We can have a table full of drinks that need to be repeated and it takes time to have to enter them one by one

  8. When we take catering order via phone or email or even in-person, we need the ability to specify the date and time of the delivery or pick-up, and this can be in the future a few days or a few week later.

    Additionally, if we can also have an option to specify up the prep date, that will be helpful, so, the orders can show up on top of the order list and print the kitchen ticket, on the day of the preparation.

  9. Currently Payment receipts have 3 different options for modifiers.
    - Show All Modifiers
    - Show Only Priced Modifiers
    - Dont Show Modifiers

    It would be nice if Clover offered a 4th option that a lot of other POS systems do. This option would be to "Show Modifiers without Price". Essentially this will show the modifiers on each item but the up charges for each item would just accumulate to the items subtotal instead of showing them listed individually.

    For example. If I had a burger that cost $8.99 and I added an "Extra Patty" modifier for $1.50. Currently Clover's receipts…

  10. Allow for Special Instructions on Online Ordering to be optional. Customers are taking advantage of asking for additional items on food, and employees are having a hard time figuring out if items that customers are listing under special instructions have been paid for or are needing payment collected. I tried to turn this Special Instructions off myself and there is no option to do so. I also called in to Clover to ask Tech Support to turn it off for me, they said this option is not optional to have removed.

  11. Recently Clover released the feature that allows merchant to reopen completed table orders. This feature has been a great addition however merchants are only able to reopen orders if the payment was made with card.

    If the payment was made with Cash or Other Tender options then the order cannot be reopened. It can only be refunded. This does cause issues because sometimes merchants incorrectly mark the payment as cash or makes a mistake during split payments.

    The reopen feature works great with card payments but we need the merchant to have the ability reopen the order and reassign it…

  12. Currently our online store does not sync with our POS when there are low counts on items. It recognizes 86 or sold out items automatically but NOT counts. This is detrimental as we have orders coming through in real time both in store and Online. Meaning we often oversell items on line that are sold out- IE - We have 2 turkey sandwiches left but someone can order as many as they want online. Please fix this!

  13. Applicable to any POS hardware: please enable the feature to apply Cash Discounting to an item or a modifier created from the Clover POS' screen, not only to the ones created through Custom Item on screen or through the dashboard as it is the case today. Thank you.

  15. Right now Clover does not allow you to set a max limit of a quanity for a modifer, if the require max is less than the quanity of the modifers .

    For example, If you have an item of 12 Wings with the modifer of different types like (Extra Hot, Hot, Mudium, Mild, Plain , 5 different modifers) You can only set up max limit of 5 rather than 12, because their are only 5 modifers.

    Just like ordering a dozen donut, If you have 8 different types of donut (Clover only allows you to put max quality for that…

  16. Most restaurant merchants do Catering orders or Large orders that require at lease a day notice to fulfill. A Secondary URL for these type of orders and Item that
    will require more than the currant 90 Minutes time limit.

  18. The current system does not allow mixed tender types once a bill has been split four ways. We encountered a situation where four guests split a payment: three paid by credit card, and the fourth wanted to pay partly in cash and the remainder by credit card. The system prevented this and forced the final guest to choose either full cash or full credit, which is not acceptable in real-world payment scenarios.
    This limitation needs to be corrected and implemented as soon as possible.

  19. Can we make it an option to remove or keep the "Whole Table" on the Kitchen Ticket, please?

    I can understand why some restaurants need it, but at the restaurant where I work, we do not want it printed.
