Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. I have a problem with KDS and the clover Kiosk
    First the KDS have an issue that if we adjust the size of the text to large or largest we lose the word takeout and dine in with the kiosk orders and it shows just like this ex; (Kiosk..) and the only way to fix it by keep the text on the small witch is hard to see and we are facing the same issue with the due orders so we have dine in and to go order type on the Due, and on the KDS does not show the…

  2. I have a huge issue with the clover kiosk.
    some of my items has a lots of modifiers and it seems like on the kiosk they make a limit on how many modifires you can have which I think it is a programing mistake because we don't have this issue on the Due station so now my customers can not see all their modifiers options on the kiosk.
    second the All Item option on the kiosk has to be takin offfffffff pleeeeeeease it confuse the customers and it suppose to be just an option for the staff on the due…

  3. I have a Bepper system that works in my Food Court. The Kiosk must have an option where the customer has the option of taking a number and that it also appears printed on the ticket as an identifier of the order if the customer decides not to give their phone number for privacy reasons in order to locate them within the Food Court (8 restaurants and 30 tables).

  4. Employees need to be able to have more than one role assigned. Again for accounting purposes. Every Restaurant has employees that work multiple roles. That way when I print out an employees hours to pay them Im able to see the role they clocked in as.

  5. There was an update to the system last week that removed the ability to hold down on an item to change the quantity. We utilized that option all the time. Now, if you hold down you can change the item availability.
    It would be nice to have the quantity back. Or, at least put a quantity bar at the top of the screen on the handhelds.

  6. Give the option in online orders for Dine In or Pick Up because a lots of customers sit on the table and place an order through the clover online and we always package it as a To Go order and not even call the customer name because we are waiting for the customer to come and claim it and we get surprise that the customer has been at the restaurant sitting on the table before the order has been submitted witch cost us to repackage it as Dine in and we lose the freshness of the food that the customer…

  7. Online Menu on Google Suppose to be on the top of the online ordering list and it suppose to be named with the restaurant name, because our online list start with Grubhub and seamless and doordash then Order Clover so Order Clover has to be the first then it is better to call it with the restaurant name because a lots of customer does not know what Order clover means and they think it is another ordering company instead of knowing that is our direct online ordering especially that it has our original prices comparing to other online ordering companies…

  8. When I select an item such as a latte I am then presented options such as milk type, syrups, temperature etc.

    The issue I have now if I select multiple of the same modifier such as vanilla syrup it prints out on the order ticket like this and can lead to very long order receipts:

    Latte ICED
    Oat milk
    Vanilla
    Vanilla
    Vanilla
    hazelnut

    ideally it would look like this:

    Latte ICED
    Oat milk
    3 x Vanilla
    1 x hazelnut

    Also, is there a way to where it only charges for the first modifier added but no extra as additional are…

  10. THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION WHERE WE CAN SET AUTOMATIC AVAILABILITY OF AN ITEM, SUCH AS WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE LUNCH MENU AVAILABLE FROM 11 AM, AND ITS NOT AVILABLE FOR CUSTOMERS TO ORDER BEFORE 11AM.

  15. When using the mobile version of Clover, the screen we use most often is our Sales Overview to review sales for the day. Often this page will compare our daily numbers to numbers yesterday or last week. Now that we've been in business for 1 year, we'd like to see our numbers compared to the same day last year. I was informed by Clover Tech Support that there is no setting to change this, and that you have to use the web browser version of Clover to search this data (which is not convenient).   16. Merchant would like the items, categories and modifiers to be listed as they appear in the inventory app on the KDS, not how they appear now, which is the order by which the server puts in the order. This current method causes modifiers to be out of order and items to be possibly listed in the wrong order as well.

  17. INVENTORY NEEDS TO UPDATE THE SECOND A SERVER ORDERS AN ITEM. SO THAT THE SECOND SERVER BEHIND HIM IMMEDIATELY KNOWS THE REMAINING BALANCE OF THE INVENTORY. INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR THE BILL TO BE PAID FOR FOR INVENTORY TO UPDATE IN THE SYSTEM.

    RIGHT NOW INVENTORY UPDATES ONLY AFTER THE CUSTOMER PAYS FOR THEIR BILL.

  18. I am Hossein, one of the managers of Diyako Cafe. We are using Clover systems, and we have a very important problem with that. In the case that we have more than one person on a table, and we serve some items to them, when the first person wants to pay for its order and leave and the other people remains, we can’t add any other items to the table.   19. Currently the KDS will show all orders even the ones already expedited to the customer. Example
    I put in an appetizer for the customer of an order of Bruschetta. On the KDS the kitchen will touch the screen to say its ready and it is removed. 10 minutes later I place their main course and the KDS will show the Bruschetta (with a check mark) and the rest of the order. When a kitchen is busy you are now asking the kitchen to make sure they look for a check mark. This needs to be resolved where the item does…
