Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. We need to be able to "rename' in the Clover Dining App tables/tickets that have multiple guests. This will help us:

    1) Make a personal connection
    2) Identify which guest ordered what
    3) Simplify the billing process when we go to collect payment

  2. With the recent discontinuation of the Counter-Service Restaurant service plan, some smaller venues still need to print to a remote order printer, but do not have need for online ordering or the full features of Clover Dining as included in the Restaurant Growth plan.

  3. Recently the Happy Hour app disabled the feature that prevents the happy hour discount from being continued past normal happy hour times. For instance if someone orders a beer that is discounted a dollar before happy hour is over and the server then reorders the item using the "+" it continues the discount...the server now has to re-ring in the item in order for the item to be at its proper price.

    Happy Hour also does not let you disable it on a specific device. For instance if we have a party going on that should not receive the discount…

  4. The Item Sales report used to have functionality to print CATEGOERIES or CATEGORIES WITH ITEMS. This functionality was available when the user clicked the PRINT link and presented with a dialog box and several options including the Categories or with or without Items.

    This option was removed this week from the Report and we would like it restored. Our ownership was accustomed to this report and the workarounds are just a lot of extra work.   5. Requiring an extra kitchen receipt printer in order to print kiosk orders at the counter can be a deal breaker for fast service, compact shops like specialty coffee shops. Currently, the kiosk cannot print to the receipt printer attached to the Station Duo. In order to print remotely (the only order printing that makes sense for a kiosk), one must purchase a separate kitchen printer and set that up to receive orders.

  7. Clover ONLINE needs to work WITHOUT Doordash AND ONLINE Menu needs ability to AUTO stop allowing Customers to order Breakfast items after a particular time ...

    Support Advised has to manually be done every day - Thats nuts ;-)

  9. Currently our online store does not sync with our POS when there are low counts on items. It recognizes 86 or sold out items automatically but NOT counts. This is detrimental as we have orders coming through in real time both in store and Online. Meaning we often oversell items on line that are sold out- IE - We have 2 turkey sandwiches left but someone can order as many as they want online. Please fix this!

  10. Create a report to list when menu items are Manually turned off and not available for sale.

  11. We need to be able to add Breakfast Menu Times to our Cafe hours.  Hope House Cafe.
    We use online ordering and Doordash options, but are not able to enter hours and have this option available for online ordering.

    We are currently having to manually enter and remove them daily for Breakfast Menu ITems.

  12. We have teenage volunteers using the clover machines to raise charity for poor families, it's a wonderful Machine, however some of the teenagers are playing around with the camera and gallery app, taking videos with it, they managed to upload movies with adult content on it!!, as of now there is no way how I can lock down the machines from this happening, please advise, I had this problem by clover flex and clover pocket, didn't check your other machines

  15. The sales overview report does not display the device name when a device level report is run. Please add that to the printed report and identify All Devices on the report when that option is selected.

  16. I would like to see clover dining on Clover Go app so my wait staff can take the order at the table and send it directly to the kitchen. That would be an excellent upgrade seeing that it already has the clover dining on it but just to see the tables only.

  17. With the majority of orders coming in from online sources, it is difficult to maintain a good grasp of inventory. My restaurant serves alot of stews which cant be quantified by a number of servings. Being able to have a feature that would allow me to put an item(s) "out of stock" that would pull those items off the online channels (website, delivery companies) for a preset period of time, (2hrs, 4hr, 6hrs, next day) then it would reset to allow them to be available after that period, and easily accessible from the device would be extremely helpful.   18. We need the ability to create a Label printer by Order Type. Natively you have to create an Item level label to send to a certain printer. I want the option to do it by order type. Example: I have a specfic to go station with its own kitchen printer. When my server starts the order, they would select To Go for order type, then the items selected would print at that to go printer. On the other hand, if my server selects Dine in order type, I want those items to go to the dine in station printer. If…

  20. We have Order Numbers set to Manual (cashier enters a number/text for each order), and a recent update made it so that cashiers can no longer hit the check on the android keyboard to bypass the order number: they're now forced to enter something on every order. We have a significant number of simple orders (one soda, etc) that don't require an order number and would like the ability to quickly bypass entering an order number restored.
