Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. PLEASE put time clock back on the website dash board under Employees menu!!!

    PLEASE put time clock back on the website dash board under Employees menu!!! It is cumbersome to find and get to. We don’t process payroll from the station at the restaurant we process it from the office. This was an inefficient change since you have to go through so many clicks and wait for so many pages to load just to click through to the time clock app you are using. Especially if you are in a remote area with poor internet service. Thank you!

    PLEASE ALLOW ADMINISTRATORS WHO ARE WORKING OFF SITE AND USING THE DASHBOARD THE ABILITY TO CLOCK OUT EMPLOYEES WHO ARE STILL CLOCKED IN.

  4. Allow Promo Codes (Discount Codes) on Clover Online Ordering

    All the major POS/Online Ordering platforms have the ability to handle promo codes or coupon codes for online ordering. It is a highly requested feature. Clover should integrate the discounts app with online orders.

  5. Printing off separate line items in and order

    Would it be possible to print out separate line item on any order that goes back to the kitchen. Example: Order has salad in it and they send out the salad first, would like the ability to just print off that and not the hold order when that is up etc.

  6. manually entering weight without using scale

    My merchant sells food the pound and is using clover with a weight scale, he would like to be able to enter manually the pounds in the clover when he is selling future orders for holidays etc... without actually weighting the product at the time of placing he order. The clover doesn't let him enter the quantity in pounds typed only coming from the weight scale... is this something Clover can do using the weight scale or there is a solution to this issue? Thank you

  7. Combos of Items and Discounts

    Let's say you have items in inventory as
    (Burger Categories)
    Hamburger $1
    Cheeseburger $1.5

    (Pizza Categories)
    Cheese Pizza $2
    Sausage Pizza $3

    (Fries Categories)
    Small Fries $0.75
    Large Fries $1.50

    (Drinks Categories)
    Coke $0.50
    Sprite $0.50

    You want to create:
    Combo A (Hamburger, Small Fries and Coke) for $2 (Not combo is $2.25 total)(This is specifically set the items for the Combo)
    Combo B (Cheeseburger, Large Fries and Coke) for $3 (Not combo is $3.50 total)(This is specifically set the items for the Combo)
    Combo C (Select 1 from Burger Category, Select 1 from Pizza Categories, Select 1 from Drinks…

  8. Online Orders Frequency Options

    Online Ordering Frequency would allow you to edit/limit the frequency by which customers can place online orders through your Online Ordering platform. Essentially you as the merchant are able to set the number of orders that can be placed within a specific timeframe, like in 10 Mins, 30 mins, an hour, etc

    A lot of my smaller Clover Restaurants have limited capacity to how many orders they can make at a time so during their busiest hours its extremely helpful to have a feature that allows the merchant to mitigate receiving a high number of simultaneous orders by limiting how…

  9. Online Menu on Google

    Online Menu on Google Suppose to be on the top of the online ordering list and it suppose to be named with the restaurant name, because our online list start with Grubhub and seamless and doordash then Order Clover so Order Clover has to be the first then it is better to call it with the restaurant name because a lots of customer does not know what Order clover means and they think it is another ordering company instead of knowing that is our direct online ordering especially that it has our original prices comparing to other online ordering companies…

  10. Check numbers

    Clover Dining still does not have any sequenced check numbers. This is not a suggestion, this is a necessity to all restaurants that handle cash. I have been calling and posting for a while with no real regard for concern in return. Check numbers are pivotal to book keeping and making sure no one is stealing, So the lack of concern from Clover is real disheartening. All I'm being told is it can't be done, but every POS has this so I am very confused.

  11. Partial payments & tips

    When the merchant sends a invoice the customer should have the option to leave a tip and make a partial payment this way the merchant does not have to waste time sending out another invoice.

  12. Color Code for Servers and Bar Tabs

    Merchants I've spoken with mentioned that color-coding employees and extending this system to open bar tabs would simplify locating a server's tab, particularly during peak hours.

  15. Credit Card Tips Witheld

    The merchant would like to withhold tips of 3-4% in the employee sales report . By law tips are 100% transferred to the employee, however now the merchant is paying full credit card processing fee's on tips on monies they do not keep, making this non-compliant, there can be a feature on the dashboard back office, to turn on "Tips witheld" only % displayed that will reduce their cc tips.   16. Change order type in Clover Dining app

    Merchant would like to be able to change the order type in the Clover dining app. Currently, it only allows the change in the Register app. This can make the order printing process confusing as it shows both the section and order type on the order receipt.

  17. Inventory Export for Online Items

    I am having to export a menu from one restaurant location and import into another location. The Inventory import only brings in the Item name and prices etc, but all information online is is not. Online Name, Description and pictures. Although pictures may be difficult to save, but i would like to suggest adding the Online name and description to the excel Sheet on export. I just expend 3 hours moving all online information from on restaurant to another when it should be added to the export sheet. All inventory is turned off inline including modifiers.   18. Bulk Edits For Items

    Dashboard: Cannot edit item quantities in bulk, only single edits allowed unless uploaded via spreadsheet which would require existing items to be removed to avoid duplicates on the newly imported file. When selecting bulk edit, please consider an option for quantity.

  19. Move Item Tracking settings up in Dashboard

    Dashboard: When editing an item, all sections are collapsed automatically, majority edits consist of quantities/stock which are located at the very bottom, could we disable the auto collapse or re-arrange the position of those options (quantity/ stock)
