Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Menu Management: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

2. Orders: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

3. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

4. Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

5. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

6. Kitchen Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers kitchen management software. 

7. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

  3. One for basic menu online ordering and pick up on a day to day basis and one separate and dedicated to ordering online catering orders.

    I would like to keep the two separate for my customers.

  5. third party online sales and sales taxes should be excluded on the report, or reported separately because they pay the taxes, so i get the clear picture of taxes owed to state, county and city, right now its included in the total sales.

  6. should be able to increase prices on everything including group modifiers and not just on items,
    also be able to duplicate online menue across locations

  7. INVENTORY NEEDS TO UPDATE THE SECOND A SERVER ORDERS AN ITEM. SO THAT THE SECOND SERVER BEHIND HIM IMMEDIATELY KNOWS THE REMAINING BALANCE OF THE INVENTORY. INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR THE BILL TO BE PAID FOR FOR INVENTORY TO UPDATE IN THE SYSTEM.

    RIGHT NOW INVENTORY UPDATES ONLY AFTER THE CUSTOMER PAYS FOR THEIR BILL.

  8. Need to be able to select to recieve and email or text of each transaction when it happens, just like if you send an invoice to someone you get notified they paid it.

  9. We are experiencing an issue with the tipping process on CLOVER terminals when guests use Tourism Vouchers and our restaurant-generated Gift Cards as part of their payment. Currently, guests are prompted to add a tip based on the discounted amount, which can lead to under-tipping on the overall service received.

    We propose an enhancement to the tipping workflow:

    Tipping on Full Amount: Modify the terminal to prompt guests to first add a tip based on the full amount of the check before any discounts are applied.
    Payment Process: After the guest has added their tip, the terminal should then prompt…

  10. Under Transaction, an option is available to export Payments but the pre-configured report generated does not allow for user configuration/modification changes to capture additional data fields for data that is captured on the customer receipt.

    Additional fields required Item, Price, Categories, Modifiers.

    It seems a custom report is required but Clover Support can only suggest submitting request via User Voice instead of creating a support ticket. This should be an easy ask.

  11. Hi,
    We own a franchise business and have realized that the Clover POS system is not very franchise-friendly. For example, the reporting feature could be improved. It would be great if the POS had a function that automatically calculates cash deposits. I know there is a cash deposit category, but it’s not sufficient for our needs. Additionally, when updating the menu, I have more than 30 accounts under my master account. While we can switch between accounts easily, it would be much more convenient if we could update the menu across all accounts at once, as we manage the franchise…

  12. We should be able to add menu items to our online menu from the device. We used to be able to do this with the "online" column in the inventory app. Clover has taken the entire column away, making the only way to add an item through the dashboard. This is not convenient.

I purchased 5 different terminals from Clover including a Clover Kiosk station, flex, duo, and minis only to find out that the pricing for the kiosk items are the same as what's displayed online. We charge different prices for online orders using clover integration with uber, door dash as these third party companies charge a huge cut. I do not understand why a kiosk that is processing orders instore have to be categorized with online orders and not with the pos such as the flex. Im trying everyway to work around this issue by not assigning items to categories to…

  14. Posting 2 ideas that are needed
    1. I offer rolls, where each roll is $8. However if a patron purchases 2 rolls, i want to offer it for $15. The rolls (or any menu item), needs to have a combiner option to push through deals that pushes sales higher
    2. The menu also offers meals, which is a roll, fries and a drink (coke, sprite etc) for $12, i want to able to offer a customer to replace this drink with a milkshare for an additional $2, to get the total to $14. Again an upcharge oppurtunity to push sales…

  16. Need a variable $ or % for specialized promotions.

    For example come in for a free toppings!

  17. We want the ability to have the (Clover Dining) Table QR Codes to point to different menus. The use case is that when people are dining in we want to allow them to order pastries like croissants. However, if they order online via direct link to the clover menu, or 3rd party, they should not be able to order pastries. Another example would be alcohol, can't have people ordering that online, because they must be in-person to check ID.

    Perhaps there could be a separate Menu Channel for each table in Clover Dining. Or at least a separate Menu Channel…

  19. Customers need to be able to Get rewards for their Clover Kiosk purchase. Most Repeat customers are using the Clover Kiosk. ..I understand maybe not redeeming their free reward on the kiosk but at least get their points. I called clover support and they said that its not a feature at this time and to come here to post the suggestion/ request

  20. the KDS will display ( totals or "all days"). if there are 3 orders in the KDS, it will display the "all day" totals in the queue , if there are 2 NY steak orders on all three orders, the KDS will display they are a total of 9 NY steaks that are needed
