Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Menu Management: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

2. Orders: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

3. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

4. Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

5. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

6. Kitchen Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers kitchen management software. 

7. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

8. Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

9. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

  1. Guest screen should have equipment to be able to pivot / spin so that the customers aren't able to view what the counter is ringing in (for example, when another guest's tab is open).
    This wouldn't be necessary if we could instead choose when the guest can view the screen. For example, only view once business hit's "Pay"

  2. The merchant will like the ability to use to separate cash drawers for two different employees

  4. In the inventory screen, it has Price and Cost. There should be a Gross Profit option to see what the mark up is.

  5. Merchant is requesting table numbers and section name on the "orders' in the ios app, when selecting the button "Orders" it doesn't show, whether its paid or open the description of clover dining isn't synced. The order ID is not useful for them they would rather have the table number and section.

  6. In the order screen, there is nothing to tell the server which order is the one they are looking for. There is no table number nor anything about the subject matter of the order. If we could add a column stating this information it would be greatly appreciated. If necessary, you could replace the column labeled ID/Notes as these numbers are simply gibberish (no offence intended) to us at this end of your system.

  7. During shift change between my AM Barmaid and my PM Barmaid there is about a 30-45 min overlap in which they are both behind the bar. The AM Barmaid is closing out her customers getting them to pay their bill while the PM Barmaid is taking on all of the new customers who have just walked in. Nobody at this end of your system wants two sets of hands in the till because it opens us up for problems and lots of finger pointing when the numbers don't agree with the end of shift report.   8. Assign tickets to the person who originally started the ticket regardless of who runs the credit card at cash out. That way a manager can help cash out customers without worrying about who the tip will be assigned to.

  9. Currently, Clover Dining offers pre-auth for bar tabs, but if the pre-auth is greater than the order total, we have to pre-auth the card again to increment the pre-auth. Authorizations app has this functionality and better yet, once a card is pre-authorized, we can increment it without card present because the authorization is already saved, but it's no help because we need to manage out tabs and tables through Clover Dining.

  10. Why don't you offer an online delivery option for businesses that already have a delivery provider that they pay? For example, pizza shops? We pay to have delivery drivers and we can't use to clover option for deliveries. Plus, the $6.99 fee that doordash or other 3rd parties charge seems VERY pricey. Customers in this town won't pay that when they can just call the restaurant themselves and only be charged $3 for delivery..

    My customers love the clover app because they can accumulate points. I don't want to offer online ordering through another third party app because that's obnoxious.…

  11. Using The Reorganize Modifiers master list is complicated. When each inventory item is set up, we should be able to select the specific order of modifiers for each item for an easy flow, and thus less scrolling up and down, on the clover dining app. This is important when using the Clover Flex as there is too much wasted time scrolling up and down to find pertinent modifiers. I have even tried using a numerical system to override the alphabetize system, and it doesn’t necessarily work all the time. Each inventory item has a unique flow when placing an order…

  12. Problem: The Franchisor, is the owner of the chain and franchises his restaurants. As part of that relationship the owner / franchisor needs to control (lockdown) the Franchisee's pricing / inventory. All locations are chained/linked together in Clover for management reasons and to facilitate their gift card program across all locations. Franchisees have begun altering the inventory/pricing which changes the pricing at all locations impacting the sales revenue of all franchises.

    Currently clover has a way to add a franchisee role but they have to be modeled after a manager or admin or employee. In creating a role for a…

  13. I have an issue with Clover duo 2nd when taking a payment from customer. Payment terminal keeps going back to tip select screen even though the customer already selects tip amount and pay with credit card. So, it makes double charge for same order most of time. This duo 2nd device is brand new, and network is super strong. How to resolve this problem? I was contacted to clover tech team, and they didn't give me the proper solution for this issue.
