Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

  1. When running Sales Overview reports there needs to be a way to choose multiple employees at once to export, so they are in one file and separated into different tabs. Currently I have to run individual reports for each employee then combine them into one Excel spreadsheet so they're on their own tabs.

  2. Enable bulk upload of images on inventory items, instead of one image at a time. Could be very time consuming for Merchants that way.

  3. "Print Menu QR Code" just appeared in our register options dropdown today. We will not use that and would like to be able to remove it from the options.

  4. There needs to be a way for the us to access invoices via the POS and mark paid when the customer comes in to pick up the order. Which would allow us to mark the orders paid without deleting the order and having to input everything again at the register. We also need to be able to itemize the invoice for our customer. I know that you can from Square and QuickBooks.

  5. When adding descriptions for online items if you type anymore than 60 characters the description flows into the space between items. You can use even less characters if your item name is long or you add a picture. For ease of reading while on a mobile device the constraints in which a description can fit per item would ideally be increased. Or font sizing would help to mitigate this. Is this something that is in the works of implementing?

  6. Change item quantities during orders -Currently, for all devices except Clover Flex, we can use the QTY Quantity bar at the top of the screen. Please enable this feature on Clover Flex as well. Businesses want to use Flex to take orders at the table and entering the same item multiple times is inconvenient -not functional during a dinner rush.

  7. Merchants need the ability to make changes to one device that does not impact other devices on the same MID.

    This impacts a lot, so I am sure there are dozens (maybe hundreds) of other clover update requests that are encompassed in this

    Examples:
    - Retail, Clover mini has local city tax rate, but the Clover go for Travel shows can have their own city tax rate
    - Restaurant, Clover station signs on receipt, but the Clover flex does sign on screen

    PRO - Merchant would have more precise and dynamic control of their systems

  8. I was at the clover summit last week and expressed this idea to xxxxx. He said this was the best forum to get it looked at.

    1. Auto gratuity currently doesn't show up on the end of day shifts report as part of the Cash sales - CC tips = owes house equation. This causes 2 of my merchants to do it manually, is there a way we can enter into the end of shift equation?

  10. Hello ~

    My issue is I need a report for my employees end of shift report to print out the number of transactions they had for their shift. This was available before Wed April 24, 2024. The report had the subtotal of all cards (not detailed cards though) and then the tips separately, so the employees had to add these numbers together to get their total of their cards and tips.

    Since the update April 24, 2024, they add together the amounts now, but do not give the number of transactions made so they can count up their physical copies.…

  11. Currently, customers with international phone numbers cannot pay for their order when checking out in Clover Online Ordering. This is especially frustrating when you use the Clover Dining Table QR Codes. They put in their order, get all the way to end to pay, and it stops them, and they have to repeat entire order to a person. Please support international phone numbers for Clover Online Ordering or give us the ability to NOT require phone numbers.

  12. Hello,

    Currently, there is no ability to generate reports or search for transactions by applicable sales tax. For example, in my Finances>Taxes section, there are a number of sales that apparently have No Sales Tax (0%). We cannot identify which those are, we cannot search by sales tax, etc. It would make a lot more sense to have a Report that is broken down by sales tax.

  13. I want the ability to have the Customer Information show up under the Orders Tab like it did once before. This is very important for when we want to see who we are delivering to without needing to always print the Order or Payment Receipt.

  16. Currently when a merchant inputs data into the "Note for item or service" field, this data passes to the cardholder. However, the data does NOT flow through to the merchant's reporting. I have a client who inputs the date of the event for their catering invoices in this field. When they go back later to tie the transaction to an event, they are unable to do so because the Note field in blank in the reporting.

  17. Is it possible on the order receipt to have Surcharge information available. With a sit-down restaurant without a handheld device, the order receipt is presented to the customer and then payment is taken. Having the transparency to have the surcharge amount on the receipt to show the total after the surcharge, so the order receipt presented to the customer and the payment receipt when surcharge applies alligns

  18. The chime that plays when an order is fired to the KDS is not loud enough. We turned up all the volume settings in the settings app, and with a noisy kitchen, it is very hard to hear. In some spots of the kitchen, I can't hear it at all. There also should be a way to change the type of chime that plays. Some chimes are easier to hear. I noticed in the settings app, you can change the chime type for notifications, but you cant for orders that fire to the KDS. Very disappointing. Hope its an easy…

  20. There should be a way or a program that let's you control your POS from a distance. I should not have to physically go into my restaurant to fix some minor issue with my POS that requires a Manager's passcode.

    Please Develop a program that let's me access my POS from a computer outside of my location or wifi connection. If I can connect to CloverGo from my phone, I should be able to connect my laptop to my Pos Solo or Flex.
