Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

  1. Printing each individual qr code at a terminal and then scanning them in to a computer to put them on a fancier style seated menu is tedious and relentless work. Others have a native funciton that allows me to download the qr codes themselves as images. this should be a thing. i have 8 veneus and have had to do this 8 times, i will be opening 8 more and to be honest it is sort of a deal breaker not having it

  3. Within a modifier group allow for preselected item(s). Thus if you have a menu item that is standard with a certain type of cheese or dressing they are preselected and only need to be addressed when something other than the standard modifier is requested.

    This would simplify the process of modifying standard orders and reduce the number of modifier groups necessary for No's and substitutions.

  4. Please Add The option to turn off the order ticket getting printed when the customer press the button for printing the receipts.

  5. For Modifier Groups for online orders, we used to have the ability to choose a min/max for specific modifiers. Example: A combo with 3 sides. We can list all the sides, but if a customer wants to choose 2 of the same side (mac & cheese for example), there is no ability to choose 2 mac & cheese, just one of each sides. Can the quantity be adjusted to have a min/max option?

  6. When a server fires their order, rather than the computer closing the table out, but leaving the server logged in and on the dining room floor plan screen, we should be able to turn on a function that logs the server out entirely. When you have 8-10 servers running around and someone forgets to log out, it's easy for someone else to start ringing their order under another person's name. Servers often forget to lock the computer when they're done, so this issue is fairly common.

  7. If someone doesn't want a topping on a sandwich, then we'd like to be able to deduct that from the price so that they aren't paying for something they aren't getting anyhow. This isn't a standard practice pretty much anywhere but for our business we'd like to set ourselves apart by offering it.

  8. The description of the items are not the same on the frontend as they are on the backend. In the backend, I enter them in three separate lines. However, they are joined together as a single line on the frontend. Proper formatting needs to be done. This is not an idea or a feature request, but something that should be done.

  9. Clover Dining still does not have any sequenced check numbers. This is not a suggestion, this is a necessity to all restaurants that handle cash. I have been calling and posting for a while with no real regard for concern in return. Check numbers are pivotal to book keeping and making sure no one is stealing, So the lack of concern from Clover is real disheartening. All I'm being told is it can't be done, but every POS has this so I am very confused.

  10. Adding the ability to have prefix words to attach to modifiers on one line instead of two separate modifiers printing on two lines. For example, if I need a select no cheese, it prints on two separate lines or I need to make 2 modifiers groups, one for Adds and one for No's. If you had prefix that could determine if the selection gets charged or not it would advance the system in pizza and service bar locations immensely. Such as selecting No would remove the modifier charge and Add would trigger the modifier to be charged.

  11. Currently, the employee who opens the check and orders the first item is the only employee that is tracked on the check. We would like to be able to track what each employee serviced on the check. We need to know who added what amounts, who authorized a credit card and who closed the check. These details matter.

  12. Every morning we audit tips entered in the TIPS app by the staff. This is insure that customers are not over charged by a misentry as well as any tips that maybe left unentered.

    Starting on the business day of 6/10/2025, the app was changed from (trying to work the logic backwards) being sorted by the time the transaction was started which kept sequential descending transaction numbers to a sort by the time in which the transaction was closed. This new sort throws the transaction numbers out of order. This is opposite of the workflow that has been in place…

  13. Allow users to remove information from the Station Duo main screen. It shows the daily sales tally and I don't want my employees to know that information.

  14. The ability to send to different bar printers (or not at all) depending on where the item is ordered from, or at specific times. For example on weekend nights, when a secondary bar is open, the drink order could go there for pickup by servers. Or if bartender rings in a drink it doesn't need to print at either bar, and risk being made twice

  15. the merchant request the tables or orders number/type to be displayed on the clover go app under orders the section than having the clover id - the merchant advises it doesn't make sense to have the clover id, its best to have the order number, or the section of the clover dining app that describes what table the customer is sitting on

  16. add and automate services charges to the orders created in clover go app - when there is an emergency that the internet is not available - the merchant is able to charge service charge in the app. service charge needs to be added automatically if their setting is set to automate it on all devices and mobile app

  17. have the option to have tips withheld setting for employees at 3% by law the merchant is not suppose to keep any of the tips earned by the employee, since the merchant is not keeping the tips at all, the employee's get paid off of tips however the merchant is getting hit with the percentage of credit card processing fee's - merchant should have the options to tip withhold a percentage off the tips to offset the credit card processing off of money the merchant does not keep, it's like if the employee is not taking any of the costs…

  19. Looking to see if Clover can create a profitability report by table for restaurants. This way, I can see which tables are less profitable than others.

  20. Ability to compare fields and perform export / import functions. Does not need to be limited to Multi-Location. However, Multi-Location would add additional hierarchy level modifications / restrictions.
