Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

  2. we should be able to eliminate the all item option on the Kiosk because it is a big mistake to have it as a first category on the top of the menu categories on the Kiosk, it is causing a lots of confusing for the customers because it is taking their attention away from the other categories and making them keep scrolling down on the screen especially that the items in the menu is organized alphabetically which causing the items to be spreed out randomly so on flavor of the coffee will be next of the sandwich depending on the…

  3. Its nothing with the website its more with the UberEats integration.
    The modifiers needs to have a setting where my client can select the same modifier multiple times.
    Lets say i have a food combo that comes with 3 sides i want my client to be able to select 1 side 3 times if they wish to do so just like its possible to do with the ubereats interface.

  4. It would be extremely helpful if we could define a Start & Stop time for each Day selected when configuring a Daypart.
    If a business is open until 2AM on a Monday, for example, it would be nice to be able to configure a Daypart that extends from 10pm on Monday until 2AM on Tuesday.

    My Bar charges $0.25 cents more for drinks Friday from 7pm - 2am & Saturday 2pm - 2am

  5. Please add a clock to the KDS screens so the kitchen staff can always easily know what time it is just by glancing at the screens. My screen shows the time as a screensaver when it’s slow, but when we’re busy we just see the tickets with no way to know what the current time is.

    This is useful for rake/out orders that a setup for a specific pickup time. Example “Susan 7:15pm pickup” I should be able to look at the screens and have a small clock somewhere so I can easily keep track of time.

  6. Make label printers work like any other kitchen printer. They need to be network printers where print labels are used to fire prints. It should support both types of labels, die cut and linerless. Also, labels should be able to be printed from KDS.

  8. We would like Owner & Admin users to be able to Delete, Hide or Unpublish POS Menus after they have been Published.

    Not being able to clean up past menus that are no longer in use will lead to staff confusion if they need to manually select a Published menu.

    We have a bar that charges $0.25 more for all drinks on Fridays & Saturdays. We duplicated the Default POS Menu & incremented all prices by $0.25 for their Friday & Saturday Daypart menus.

  9. KDS needs a summary of all orders with counts. If there are 5 tickets on the display, there needs to be a summary bar like freshKDS that shows for example 5 burgers 4 soups 1 sub etc. the total number or all items that are fired in a summary.

    Needs font and color sizes

    Table numbers could be bigger and Dine in or take out could be smaller

  10. New Florida State Law states, Service Charge must be taxable, tips are optional to include or exclude taxes, but additional service charges needs to be taxable, please set this up for Service Charges as new state law required for the subtotal of line items sold and service charges to be taxed.

  11. When Applying discounts it discounts the whole ticket. We would like to be able to apply our military discount to just the veterans meal and not the whole ticket. Please and thank you!

  13. It would be clearer to online ordering end-users if the Clover Online Ordering website showed the Order type (in-store pickup, delivery, curbside) listed as radio buttons rather than a drop-down so that end-users can clearly see all of the available options before hitting the checkout button. Currently, they may not realize that delivery or curbside pickup are available unless they know to click the drop down.

  14. Restaurant Table Reservations:
    Allow restaurants to utilize an existing Clover Booking feature (currently available for Retail/Services plans) for online table reservations.

    Make this booking feature available a la carte in the Clover App Market as a stand-alone add-on for any SaaS plan, not just the Services plan.

    Advanced Reservation Options & Fees:

    Allow advance booking options up to one year.

    Enable the option for the merchant to apply a non-refundable or refundable booking fee at the time of reservation, which can then be applied against the customer's final bill at checkout.

  15. Enable the option to add chairs to a table layout based on their actual physical position, mirroring capabilities found in other POS systems.

    Expand the available object types and shapes for designing the restaurant layout.

    Allow the vertical orientation for table/object names within the layout view.

  16. Allow the ability to assign an existing or add a new customer to a specific guest at a table directly within the Clover Dining app, rather than only through the Register app or Customer app. Guest Naming: to assign individual names to guests seated at a table.

  17. When placing an order on Clover, it would be helpful to choose ONE item on the order to remove tax from that item only. Our state removes taxes on bread products, when 6 or more are purchased. Clover will only remove taxes from the whole order, not individual items. Please help with implementing removing taxes from single items on the order screen.

  18. Hello Clover,

    It would be extremely helpful to have the preparation time setting in Clover automatically add an additional amount of preparation time the merchant can set for online orders that exceed a certain dollar amount.

    For example, lets say the merchant wants to have Clover automatically add an additional 30 mins of preparation time for orders that exceed $100. It would be great if the merchant can edit theses parameters under the "Preparation Time" setting in Online Ordering Dashboard instead of just setting a specific preparation time.

  20. It would be great if the Batch Close report could email to more people than just the defined "Owner". In large organizations you have a finance department that needs this info besides the manager that runs things on the daily. Should be a simple request.
