Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

  1. Restaurant software offers the options to add service charge, restaurant owners want service charge by order type, if the order type in MAIN has a different percentage than another order type, they want the ability to to charge different % amount by order type take out vs main dining

  2. Currently, doordash integration on the Clover Online Ordering only offers the pickup option and merchant needs the ability to have both pickup and delivery fulfilment options.

  3. The new condensed sales report on device provides the Sales by Tender Type, but we must add the figures together to determine card totals. It'd be helpful to have the "Total" section from the Full Report on the Condensed Report.

  4. Clover Mini Print Heads should be replaceable. The rest of the machine works fine. It seems crazy to throw out a perfectly good machine when the print head should be able to be replaced. Plus I have a real problem with purchasing a new one to the tune of $700 when it won't even last a few years in a very small shop.

  5. Merchant upgraded from the Flex 3 to Flex 4 and the employee lock screen no longer has the alphanumeric characters, only numbers. The only alphanumeric setting is for the customer-pin pad entry; however, they want it back for the employee lock screen.

  6. For items that are measured per unit (such as deli meat that is pounds or ounces), there should be a way to track stock according to this unit. At least for basic units like pounds and ounces that delis, cafes, etc often use. So if merchant has 5 lbs of turkey and they sell 1.5 lbs, then stock count would be 3.5 lbs of turkey.

  7. Being able to filter by employee when running the sales overview from a station would be very helpful in environments when you cannot always turn off "view all sales activity" for servers and/or bartenders & do lots of paid outs or paid ins.

    Since the Homebase and Shifts reports do not account for Paid Outs and Paid Ins, it would be nice to be able to use the Sales Overview with more flexibility from the ground level. We get hit with a LOT of accountability scenarios in restaurants and bars. Bartenders using both a Flex and a Station sometimes is…

  8. Revenue Class is not currently exportable and there is no way to easily locate items when there are potentially thousands in a given Revenue Class in order to modify them. Also, it would be nice to be able to filter item list by Category

  9. Syncing is a great idea, do you have any ideas on how to disable cash payments on handheld devices? If a customer pays in cash without change, and they leave the cash on the table, and the waitress just taps cash and keeps the money.

  10. We have a few locations that would love to be able to filter the Tips app by date.

    We have a bar that checks all tips entered the prior night for accuracy before they manually settle the batch. This helps prevent calls from customers due to tip entry errors. They would love to only see the tips from a specific date or yesterday.

  11. When there are 3rd party platform like uber, the promotions that are run in uber or other 3rd party platforms are not congruent with the reporting in Clover Reporting dashboard or app

  12. The updated 3Gen Solo device does not feature a tap or apple option like the 2Gen did on the printer. Why not set up the Flex device to have the same capabilities as a Mini device does but used at the drive thru widow? Then we can actually extend the device to the customer to tip and tap right out the window.

  13. In Inventory App, since we use Kiosk, there are button of "Show on POS" and "Show on Kiosk", but NOT "Show Online".
    We need to have all 3 of them
    - Show on POS
    - Show on Kiosk
    - Show Online
    This helps us to update online item on the Register Clover without going through the computer

  14. Print the full order with all courses shown. The ones to be fired are shown as prepare, the course to follow show hold. This way the kitchen knows what is coming and can plan. Then the wait staff can send a re-fire to prepare the courses when needed.

  15. Employees need to be able to have more than one role assigned. Again for accounting purposes. Every Restaurant has employees that work multiple roles. That way when I print out an employees hours to pay them Im able to see the role they clocked in as.

  16. New Clover Kiosk Needs to have a DONE or No receipt button for the kiosk to not force to have to print a payment receipt every single transaction as most customers dont want paper payment receipts. except maybe an order receipt.
    please add this option just like every other clover device has this option to skip the payment receipt so that paper receipts are not piled up all on the floor or around the kiosk because of customers not wanting it.

  17. Following an update about three weeks ago, the ability to add a delivery address when creating a new customer within the Order app has been removed.

    Currently, they must:

    Leave the Order app,

    Go to the Customers app,

    Manually create the customer with their address,

    Return to the Order app to link the customer to the order.

    This adds unnecessary steps during busy service hours. Please consider restoring the ability to add a customer with an address directly during order entry. This was a valuable part of the workflow and its removal is causing frustration.

  18. Merchants would like orders that are placed through custom website, paid through API to print in Kitchen or displayed kitchen display's.

  19. Custom tender type should have the option to be restricted for the employees and can be used by Admin or Manager only. Or whomsoever admin wants to provide access to. This is very important for restaurants.

  20. Allow the option to add a guest count at the top of the order receipt, even when no specific items are assigned to individual guests. This helps chefs better plan and coordinate food preparation for table-sharing scenarios.
