Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. Owner needs to be able to manage users and their permissions. User list should show users already created at individual locations. The permissions need to override those at the individual location. This prevents or allows individual locations to edit menus.

  2. When placing an order on Clover, it would be helpful to choose ONE item on the order to remove tax from that item only. Our state removes taxes on bread products, when 6 or more are purchased. Clover will only remove taxes from the whole order, not individual items. Please help with implementing removing taxes from single items on the order screen.

  3. Online Delivery Partner integration - need to be able to provide an online menu with delivery pricing and another menu with a lower pick up price for orders placed on DoorDash or Uber Eats. Merchants are charged lower commission for pick up orders and they want to pass through savings to customer. Also, DoorDash provides merchants with online ordering and would need separate menu with even lower prices there.

  4. Multiple shifts per day:

    We have 2 services ( brunch and dinner) per day with 2 different teams, therefore we need a closeout report ( sales and tips) per shift - not per day

    We also need different menus per shift.

  5. The inventory export/import spreadsheet includes a description for Revenue Class but the Items tab does not include the column. I can add the column and successfully import Revenue Class, but there is no way to export the revenue class. Please fix this error.

  6. Business owners should be able to name the batch per the location. Client gets the same report for 5 locations, easier to identify if he can name the batch per loaction.

  7. Merchants would like to be able to automatically print to several order printers without the use of kitchen labels. Currently, if there are multiple printers, it has them select which to print to and manually reprint the order label if an additional copy is needed.

  8. There needs to be a way to limit the amount of menu items a customer can order using the online ordering. We have had many problems with customers using online ordering to order large quantity of menu items that would fall more under catering. It really creates a problem both for the customer that expects there order to be ready at a given time and the staff trying to fulfill the order. Also creates a problem when the customer chooses delivery and for any reason the driver cancels the order and that order gets refunded without notice!

  9. Ability to add different Service Charges percentage for Clover Dining with detail report individual subtotals.
    This option of having more that one Service Charge is already implemented for some merchants, but the only problem is that in the report it is showed as the total of the Service Charges, not the individual subtotal for each one of the service charges. Also, this option of more that one Service Charge, must be implemented an offered for all the merchants. This is very important and urgent.

  11. Printing the pick up or preparation time or including it in the email notification for the online orders would be extremely helpful. The preparation time shows on the order confirmation pop up when a customer completes the order, but it is not included in the emailed confirmation and receipt.

  12. Please find a way to limit Clover software updates to outside of business hours. We've heard a number of complaints about updates happening during peak hours that have been negatively impacting business

  13. We need the ability to add a customer to an order even after it is closed. Currently, if the order is completed, we are not able link the order to a customer. So, we are missing the ability to see customer history.

  14. I have had multiple table restaurants reject Clover because when they do an end of shift report, it’s not printing off each of the server sales and the adjusted tip amount so they cannot track it to make sure that servers aren’t changing the tip amounts

  15. Most of the top level restaurant per terminals have the ability to press a button to add or remove and that will bring up a pop-up option for different add-ons. This is what we need.

I have had a few restaurants that have bars included in the restaurant, and they would like to be able to have customization options on printing seats and the layout of the menu as far as categories based upon whether the device is at the bar or the devices in the restaurant we need to be able to differentiate the layout of the menu from one device to the other and we also need to be able to decide whether or not we want smart tipping or tip at the device as opposed to tip on the receipt between the…

  17. Need to be able to control which discounts are available per job code.

    Currently the discount permission is all or nothing. Meaning, a employee can either have the ability to discount or not discount.

    We are requesting the ability to assign discounts to certain job codes so that they can have access to some but not all discounts.

    It currently is all or nothing.

  18. Make order process quicker for customers that order/pay via QR code. They currently have to enter name, phone, email, then if they select mobile wallet payment such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, they must complete the reCAPTCHA grid. This is all time consuming for a cup of coffee. Thx

  19. Numerous clients ask for this functionality and it's becoming more and more of an ask. The ask is for menu boards on TVs/monitors to be connected to the Clover, ideally in real-time. Not only for pricing and product updates but also for current availability of items/modifiers as well. All new QSRs use menu boards...it would be great if we could have some sort of integration. TY

  20. All too often servers who are waiting on a table are asked to put an order in to go for them to take with them. There needs to be a way to make an item TO GO on a table order.
