Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. I have three locations. If I enter a new item to my menu, I have to enter it three times. Much like the Menu addition to the item, or the Show on POS & Available sliders. Please make a slider on/off type switch that I can add the item to one, two, or all three locations on the initial entry of the new item.

  2. Recently Clover released a new version of the Employee Sales Report under Reporting. The previous employees report showed the total number of transactions ran that day per employee. This was helpful for my retail merchants for a number of reasons. One in particular was so they can calculate their employees average ticket size.

    Strangely enough the New Employee sales report does show the average ticket size but it is only available and viewable on the Employee Sales Report in the Dashboard. not on the devices :(

    That being said a vast majority of my retail merchants noticed the change immediately…

  3. Is it possible to add the Customer name to the Receipt that is printed from the portal? Also, instead of having to go to "Transactions" to view payment receipt it would be nice to have a "print receipt" button on the payment complete screen.

    Thank you for your feedback. Clover does offer the ability to print the receipt from the payment complete screen. Please contact our support team if you require assistance with that feature.


    We currently have no plans to add customer name to a receipt as it could create complications for us with PII data and/or PCI.

  4. We have found that the default receipt size on the portal is too large, resulting in it printing on 2 pages. In order to adjust this we change it manually using the "more settings" for the printer. I know things vary from one printer to the next but it would be nice to have the size fit to 1 (Letter) sized page or have it "Fit to Printable Area" by default.

  5. Enhancement for Clover Gift Card App --

    When setting up the Clover Gift Card App, enable on-screen prompts for the user so that it prevents them from setting up a secondary gift card entitlement number, causing unnecessary impact to the user. Potential probing prompts on screen, such as:

    1. Do you already have a Gift Card Entitlement Number?

      • If so, enter here ____ - then it would allow user to enter entitlement number, syncing and chaining the location to all other locations which share the same entitlement number
    2. Do you plan to use gift cards at other locations?

      • if yes: prompt…

  6. I am looking for a report that will provide the following in a single report by item:
    1. Item name
    2. item price next to it
    3. sales tax amount related to the item. If item is Non Taxable it should reflect zero tax next to it.
    There are not reports in in clover that shows this information. I just spent 3 hours on the phone, and went up to a supervisor level and the best that they could do is send me to this site to put a request, and maybe get a resolution in the future. Assuming it…

  8. I would like a way to price items including tax. My example is I charge $4.50 for an item "including tax". Our sales tax is 6%. If I set the price for 4.24 w/.25 tax, it comes to 4.49. If I set price for 4.25 w/.26, tax it comes to 4.51. Is there a way to do that or possibly in the future? Thanks!

  10. please reinstate the ability to edit an item or group of similar items with out requiring to re-search each time you save. new update changed this, before item would stay available to updates on similar items. new update resets the inventory field when saved and requires you to search for similar items again

  12. The digital gift card feature is no longer showing up on the gift card app. This is a useful feature because we don't have to always use the physical gift cards.

  13. Customers ---> Edit Customer or New Entry

    Please allow for copy/paste functionality for phone numbers.
    I have to copy/paste to the e-mail field to then type the information in the phone number field.

  17. Use the customer facing screen from the station duo 2 to upload marketing jpeg or PNG announcements, when the customer is waiting for payments, multiple promo ads are changing every 5-10s on the duo customer facing screen

  19. A pinpad without power is needed for the Clover Compact! With the Clover Compact terminal only using another Compact as a pinpad makes it very difficult to use because of the power needed for the pinpad!

  20. There should be a way to import customers from a different POS system and be able to include their balance. We have may customers that have items on layaway, or money on their account - and there is no way to get that information into Clover.
