Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. This option will allow multiple units of the same modifier option to be selected when ordering. Uber Eats already has this option.
    E.g. our family pack comes with 8 drinks and 3 appetizers. at the moment the customer can choose the options they want but not the quantity. for example the can choose Diet Coke and Fanta which will result in us sending them 4 of each, If the want 2 Diet Cokes and 6 Fanta, they will have to write a note which is inconvenient.

  2. Friday, Saturday and Sunday's are lumped into one deposit that comes through on the first business day of the following week. Clover's "Calendar Week" is setup as Sunday through Saturday. If there are any sales on a Sunday, the combined Fri, Sat, Sun deposit now includes sales from two periods, creating a book keeping problem. They should deposit separately into the merchant's bank account as 3 separate deposits.

  3. Please move the modifiers/special instructions to the left side so that they print right underneath the menu item. It is hard for kitchen staff to see the modifiers when the tickets get stacked

  4. When merchant accepts multiple payment types they would like to have one receipt showing the different payment methods. This shows on the dashboard receipt but does not print out for the customer receipt

  5. The electronic receipt that a customer receives should default to the "detailed" version of the receipt to show additional details instead of having to click the embedded link to open up the more detailed receipt. If customers have more details presented to them in the default receipt, it will greatly help merchants when the customer calls the business to discuss the purchase, as they can reference the details such as Invoice number or order number, etc.

  7. A log is critical for Clover Dining, similar to tables. Who opened the order, time opened, Changes (e.g. Add burger time, add drink times) , time order was fired, ...basic internal controls. Even half of this would be beneficial. It is difficult, even with cameras to track the sequence of POS activity when things go wrong. Process improvement and theft prevention.

  8. When adding modifiers it would be nice if all the same group modifiers would group together. Example would be half and half pizza. When selecting modifiers if you select right modifiers then left modifiers and a customer adds on another right modifier it goes under the left modifiers instead of up with the other right modifiers. When sending this to the printer it is harder for the pizza cook to keep track of what goes on which side.

  9. We do have Non-Profits that purchase from us and are Tax Exempt, I would like to have the ability to remove the sales tax to be restricted to Manager's only so that any random employee can't remove taxes from any order (which we are still on the hook for!!)

  10. When looking at the report sections on the dashboard it would be nice if you could sort revenue classes. I would like to see revenue classes be in the same order every single time, even if they didn't have sells for a given time period. This allows me to update quickbooks faster.

  11. We found out scan to pay feature works only for Apple device at this moment.
    The problem is there are a lot of people using android too.
    Could you please develop that feature for android user?

  12. Pre planned order of operations of modifiers on order receipts regardless of when it is selected when ordering.

    Example: Bagel shop with many modifiers, customer asks for bagel to be toasted, but it shows up last on order receipt and cook misses it.

  13. Merchant request to have an option to add a specific schedule to certain items during the day through Online Ordering. There are specific items that should be available in a exact time in the day. Example: Breakfast, lunch...

  14. Have a Service Plan specific for retail, which don't include all the restaurant apps and functionality. Retail would focus more on inventory, online/in house sales functionality.

  15. Please allow edit employee to change the employee name. Best example is employee gets married. Deleting employee and entering again with new name is not a very good way of doing this.

  16. I have a mobile food truck. Like to using the online ordering but when I change locations and activate the online ordering it is a hassle to manually changing the location every time I am serving for that day. Can a pop up be created for my location service for online ordering ? Even if you can create a Headline on the web address for" online ordering location or we are serving at .... " where I could manually type the address for where I am serving for orders to be picked up would be lot better than changing original…

  17. Inventory only allowing 25 items to remove, what if merchant have 15000 items and they want to remove all items at once, it willt take hours to remove 15000 items. Old inventory had the option. Please bring the feature back

  18. Currently the tip Name for online ordering is the Merchants name. As you may know legally the owner can not take the tips for themselves. So for the tips left on the online ordering, it should have an option to change the name to the employee or host that is taking care of the In store pickup not the owners name. Please add the option to change the name for online ordering tips.

  19. In the clover dining or register the ability to repeat an already printed item would be great. Yes you can do this if the employee has access to "Edit Printed Items" But the ability to repeat would be helpful while preventing them from being able to delete items. Basically separate delete and repeat functionality.

  20. Merchant do not want any of her employees to have permission to process manual card entries and would like to have the feature remove from all flex 2nd gen devices
