Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. Need ability to "Edit Menu Prices" for selected items not just the entire menu. We have a menu that is marked up by 30%. When I add a new menu item, it is not marked up and there is no way to do it, other than duplicating the item. Now you have 2 items to manage for 1 item. Ideally would like the "Edit Menu Prices" feature to be applied to only the selected items.

    Thanks for reaching out to Clover. We acknowledge your need and will review it. In the mean time, you may want to try this work around. When you add a new item into the menu (that already had a price adjustment), you can change the item price of only that item within the menu so that it is in par with your menu mark up price.

  2. No opening drawer ringing.
    This is the only register system I have ever seen (forty plus years in retail) that allows transaction to be rung while the cash drawer is open this is rife with issues. You cant' keep honest people honest if you don't have the single most basic physical base covered.

  3. I have a huge issue with the clover kiosk.
    some of my items has a lots of modifiers and it seems like on the kiosk they make a limit on how many modifires you can have which I think it is a programing mistake because we don't have this issue on the Due station so now my customers can not see all their modifiers options on the kiosk.
    second the All Item option on the kiosk has to be takin offfffffff pleeeeeeease it confuse the customers and it suppose to be just an option for the staff on the due…

  4. Under Transaction, an option is available to export Payments but the pre-configured report generated does not allow for user configuration/modification changes to capture additional data fields for data that is captured on the customer receipt.

    Additional fields required Item, Price, Categories, Modifiers.

    It seems a custom report is required but Clover Support can only suggest submitting request via User Voice instead of creating a support ticket. This should be an easy ask.

  5. Hi,
    We own a franchise business and have realized that the Clover POS system is not very franchise-friendly. For example, the reporting feature could be improved. It would be great if the POS had a function that automatically calculates cash deposits. I know there is a cash deposit category, but it’s not sufficient for our needs. Additionally, when updating the menu, I have more than 30 accounts under my master account. While we can switch between accounts easily, it would be much more convenient if we could update the menu across all accounts at once, as we manage the franchise…

    Unfortunately, we are limited to the security limitations enacted by the ECOM team (Vlad). I have spoken to Vlad multiple times about having a less intrusive alternative, and they are looking into something called hCaptcha for 2026, but right now, this is what we're stuck with.

  7. Need a variable $ or % for specialized promotions.

    For example come in for a free toppings!

    (Customer topping choice price might vary, causing the need for several discounts)

  8. the KDS will display ( totals or "all days"). if there are 3 orders in the KDS, it will display the "all day" totals in the queue , if there are 2 NY steak orders on all three orders, the KDS will display they are a total of 9 NY steaks that are needed

  9. Provide an option to have customer provide immediate rating/review when completing a transaction on device. Ex: "How did we do today?" 1 - 5 stars.
    Something that could be customizable. Ability to ask several questions.

  11. When running Sales Overview reports there needs to be a way to choose multiple employees at once to export, so they are in one file and separated into different tabs. Currently I have to run individual reports for each employee then combine them into one Excel spreadsheet so they're on their own tabs.

  12. "Print Menu QR Code" just appeared in our register options dropdown today. We will not use that and would like to be able to remove it from the options.

  13. Change item quantities during orders -Currently, for all devices except Clover Flex, we can use the QTY Quantity bar at the top of the screen. Please enable this feature on Clover Flex as well. Businesses want to use Flex to take orders at the table and entering the same item multiple times is inconvenient -not functional during a dinner rush.

  14. Merchants need the ability to make changes to one device that does not impact other devices on the same MID.

    This impacts a lot, so I am sure there are dozens (maybe hundreds) of other clover update requests that are encompassed in this

    Examples:
    - Retail, Clover mini has local city tax rate, but the Clover go for Travel shows can have their own city tax rate
    - Restaurant, Clover station signs on receipt, but the Clover flex does sign on screen

    PRO - Merchant would have more precise and dynamic control of their systems

  16. Why is there a save button if it is gray scaled and you cannot click. If changes are made in real time there is no need for a save button.

  17. Allow the Register app to be on the KDS so employees can take orders on it. Taking a quick order from KDS screen would greatly enhance our work flow by having our customer to wait less. It wouldn't need to accept the payments, but getting an order in the system so other employees could get started on would be a game changer. Then we could take payment later.

  18. Submitting a request for the Card Type to be put back on the Employee Overview report within the Reporting App on the device. This is an issue for restaurants!

  20. Prior to last week, I could go to "Closeout" and print batch reports. The Closeout screen also gave options for printing Card Type Totals and Server Totals. As of last week, all of the print buttons automatically print all of the reports. I called customer service and found out that this is a result of a recent update. Updates should be improvements. Updates should not decrease my options.
