Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. Ability to select modifier sequence per individual item. The sequence is now determined by how modifiers are sequenced in the main Modifier section of the register. Sometimes it is difficult to match it to the desired sequence per individual item.

    Example: Item Pizza Combo
    Modifier position 1: Crust
    Modifier position 2: Size
    Modifier position 3: Toppings
    Modifier position 4: Drink

  2. fast cash with no explanation for managers
    multiple gratuity lines
    see table number on tips app
    should be yellow when things are on hold - hard to tell when something hasn't been fired
    Need PPA count
    table count should be able to adjust depending on where people are sitting
    should be able to re-open table when refund has been issued incase wrong table was closed out

  3. As the title implies, here's a merchant's scenario:

    Their Clover Station is located at the bar area which is on the 1st floor. The kitchen is located in the basement. The kitchen has 2 printers: one is for the order receipt and the other is labeled as a receipt printer for the packager. The packager is responsible for packing the orders and stapling the payment receipt to the handoff delivery bag.

    The issue with Clover is that it's unable to auto print a payment receipt especially when you have multiple payment receipt printers set up (Station USB printer and packager…

  4. When importing an inventory spreadsheet, provide the choice of adding the quantity to existing count or over-write. Right now, it over-writes existing qty in stock, so if I have 2 left and order 6 more, the imported report will change my qty to 6 rather than 8. I don't know why anyone would over-write, but there may be a reason so please offer the choice.

  6. We are a Restaurant and we offer our customer discounts when they order online thru our website (instead Skip or Uber). But there is no option on Clover online ordering where we can do such. With our current online ordering platform we could issue a Coupon code and Customers could use that Code at checkout. Also that code will only work if customer spend more that X amount.

  8. I caught my employees, just adding quantity to existing order instead of a new drink. By doing this they are adding to existing happy hour prices, instead of a new drink at full price. So customers who come in right before happy hour ends, are still receiving happy hour prices as long as bartenders add to it and not ring in a new drink. POS should automatically eliminate and stop happy hour prices since times are entered in pos.....

  9. Why don't you offer an online delivery option for businesses that already have a delivery provider that they pay? For example, pizza shops? We pay to have delivery drivers and we can't use to clover option for deliveries. Plus, the $6.99 fee that doordash or other 3rd parties charge seems VERY pricey. Customers in this town won't pay that when they can just call the restaurant themselves and only be charged $3 for delivery..

    My customers love the clover app because they can accumulate points. I don't want to offer online ordering through another third party app because that's obnoxious.…

  10. Our retail store needs to be able to change the sales tax rate on mobile units. Currently only one sales tax rate is allowed by account and is charged on all devices/units. We have pop-up events in other states with higher sales tax rates but we cannot change the rate on the mobile units as it would change the sales tax rate on all devices/units, etc. We have been asking for this feature for over four years.

  14. We have been trying to get our BentoBox integration for online ordering work for nearly five months now. We keep running into a variety of issues with the POS-synced menu from Clover to BentoBox.

    One of the big ones is we have a regular menu, and a Sunday Brunch menu. It is currently not possible to set separate days of the week or times for different menus. When I spoke to support they suggested we manually add and remove menu items DAILY!!!!! That suggestion felt very out of touch with reality, as anyone in the restaurant business knows...NO ONE has…

  15. Ability to have online ordering open but restrict pickup windows to different days (Toast has this).

    Example scenario: We are a BBQ restaurant that is open 4 days a week and we sell out. We want to give customers the option to pre-order at any time and schedule pick-up the following week. "Order by Sunday at mid-night and pickup next week Thursday - Sunday"

  16. Program Clover Register Counter service to have different start numbers for the order numbers, this helps avoid duplicate numbers when you have 2 Clover stations at one business.
    Have one order number start at 101, the 2nd POS order number to start at 202 and so on.
    There are many business with 2 or more registers and taking orders at the same time from 2 different POS' cause confusion in the kitchen.

  17. The new Dispute tab is great! we no longer need to go on business track directly to supply the evidence, instead we can do it straight on clover.

    However please add it under permission so that we can give access to our dispute team to respond the the chargeback. Currently we had to give our full admin login to them in order to have access to that tab, you can imagine the issue having to give the full login to them without any restrictions to other reports and info on the dash.

  18. Allow for item cost to be set as a percentage of sale price. ideally on both an item specific level as well as a general level or based on category or label. I buy and sell
    hundreds of trading cards of which there are hundreds of thousands and trying to make a new item on the fly for a card that I may never sell again just so my profit margin sheet is accurate is impossible. I currently use the variable price marker but have the cost set to 0 because the price range for these cards varies wildly and…
