Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more.   1. Currently the inventory doesn't decrease in restaurants for open checks. If someone orders an item that has to be decreased since there are limited items such as specials, etc.. or limited seasonal items, then for restaurants, the on hand count should decrease as the item is ordered. In current state, the inventory doesn't decrease until the check has been closed out and this gives false on hand counts which can cause servers to order items that have been depleted already.   2. Servers need the ability to delete items that have not been fired or saved, but then need a manager code to delete an item that HAS been fired or saved. Currently the only way to prevent this type of theft is to restrict the permission for servers for both. So if a server rings in a "stuffed mushroom" and before sending to the kitchen realizes that it was supposed to be "sauteed mushrooms", she must find a manager to remove the stuffed mushrooms.   4. With Dining and Register...busy restaurants need the ability to send cancellation tickets to the kitchen. Please make this another button within each item (within the existing order). Further, this has to go to the order printer/KDS only...it should NOT appear on the customer's bill!

  5. I would like to have the option to turn off the online ordering notes. Customers are not choosing modifiers they are putting request in the notes, for example extra ranch, our wings come with ranch or blue cheese but extra ranch/blue cheese I charge for. The customers are just putting the request in the order notes. We are losing money.

  6. Having a lot of experience with the other major POS providers in the market, I am very surprised that Clover does not have a better inventory management system. Virtually all of Clover's direct competitors offer this essential service. Currently, all third party apps are clunky and create more confusion than help.

    I believe Clover should specifically have the ability to:

    1.) Set low inventory thresholds and reorder quantities. (dynamic thresholds would be best to accommodate business's with changing seasonal sales)
    2.) Ability to assign each product to a corresponding vendor
    3.) Ability to create purchase orders for inventory below the…

  8. If a customer orders multiples of an items that need to fire to a specific printer, I need to manually select the printer for all items. For example, if a customer orders 13 California rolls, I will need to select Sushi Bar on my printer label 13 times for every California roll that needs to be made.

    Can we please condense this so you can pick the quantity needed to be fired to a specific printer. Obviously this will need to be limited by the quantity ordered.

  9. Please add a way to isolate order types to specific devices. For example, the restaurant has a drive through and would like to designate that device to auto-print DRIVE-THRU on the order receipts, instead of having the employee select the option on the Register. This feature will be applicable for settings with a Bar.

    The issue is that employees are forgetting to select the order type in the Register and it is causing issues with the preparation. This is a feature available on the SAM4S POS and should be available on an advance POS like Clover.

  10. Two-Factor Authentication should be an optional system wide configuration setting for all users associated with a merchant account. This will enable the Owner admin to enforce a secure login policy for all users.

    Two-Factor Authentication is currently an optional configuration for each user profile. Therefore, a secure login policy via Two-Factor Authentication cannot be enforced as it requires that the individual user enable it for their profile. It also cannot be verified, as only the individual user has access to their profile.

  11. Busy dining multiple section restaurants need the ability to print void tickets inside the kitchen as well. Current software is not allowing us.
    Example-
    Customer ordered 5 items from different 5 stations for dining services. Now customer changed his mind and he want to cancel 1 item. If staff will cancel that item kitchen should get void ticket with thats particular item. So they will know they don't have to make this item anymore.

    Current system is only reprinting the remaining items. Its not useful.

    If its not in next upgrade we are switching back to square.

  16. Register to show items on receipt in alphabetical order. Why? On a 50 + item order receipt, single items could be easily referenced for return requests or cashier cancel item requests.

  17. Clover needs better functionality for corporations with multiple Clover locations such as:
    - detail sales reporting for all locations
    - user roles across all locations
    - ability to set up a location without being onsite with no variation of what is on the website and what is on the device (currently there are apps that show up on the device but not on the installed app on the website, same with set up features like display time out, etc).

  19. I operated a thrift store and most of our items are one and done. We would like to be able to have automatically manage inventory become our default or we would at least like to be able to select it in bulk for items.
