Name assigned to email address needs to be editable
The wrong name was used when the initial account was created. You are unable to edit the name on an employee, and even if you delete the employee account and create a new account with the correct name the system will automatically change the name to the wrong original name attached to that email address.
Our RM has advised that the email is like a “fingerprint” in the Clover ecosystem. However it was originally input, errors or not, the system will always revert back to the original. Names should be able to be changed/updated/fixed - at least by the admin/owner.…

We need the ability to add a revenue class to a new inventory item directly from device. I've seen this requested as far back as 2021 but it is still not an option. Revenue classes are vital to inventory management and reporting and so it makes no sense that they can only be added through the dashboard. This is very cumbersome and unnecessary. It would be so easy to add "revenue class" as an input option on the "add item" screen on the device and it would save a huge amount of frustration and time on the user end.

Ability To Make Items Non-Inventory
Items like services do not need to be counted as inventory, only the sales need to be tracked. It would be really handy to be able to mark items as Non-Inventory (all the same functions for price, cost, etc as usual) and still have them as a sellable item. Services are not inventory!

Tax Exemption Tag for Customer Accounts
Customer accounts should be able to be tagged as Tax Exempt so that we don't have to be reminded every time we ring a particular customer up - especially when we are selling to companies and schools with an exemption.

It would be good to not allow duplicate items to be keyed into the hardware.
I spend a lot of time editing existing clover inventory/menu export lists.
Clover allows merchants to key in duplicate items form the hardware but you cannot import this inventory list into another location because you will get an error.1 vote -
Ability to change Customer after order is placed
Managers and up should be allowed to change the customer after an order is placed without having to refund the order. Sometimes orders are processed under the wrong name, we shouldn't have to perform a refund and then process the order again to change the customer.

Do Not Allow Transactions to be Processed without Credential Being Clocked In in Shifts App
As a restaurant operator I find it absolutely horrifying and an immense oversight that my employees can process transactions under their own credentials without being clocked in. As a result, these transactions do not appear on the shifts report, but do appear in both the transactions and reporting apps. We hold our credit card tips, as such the employees rely on the shifts report in order to determine how much card tip they are owed and how much cash they must turn in to the house (their total cash sales).

Ability to manage Discounts from Mult-Location Dashboard
When managing multiple locations with the same inventory and discounts it is extremely time consuming to be able to enter/manage discounts as they have to be entered individually under each Location. I would like for the discounts to be added to the Multi-Location dashboard like the Items etc are - with the ability to enter the discount 1 time and select which location it will apply to or at the location level be able 'select/unselect' which of the discounts apply to that location.

Ability to manage Employees at the Multi-Location level
We have multiple locations, but utilize the same employees at those locations. We need the ability to enter an employee once at the Multi-Location level and have the ability to select which location they need to be authorized for. Right now we have to enter the same employee at each location, which is time consuming and the margin for error is greater in not getting Access Code, Role etc the same in each place.

Make the Multi-Location Dashboard work consistently
When using the Multi-Location Dashboard Inventory we are consistently having to make updates to locations and other attributes multiple times before the change is actually saved to the item. Many times I have to make a change at each location before it will accept the updates.
Additionally, having ALL the functionality at the multi location level that we have at the individual location level - many things have to be done at the location level and with multiple locations have to make the same change multiple times is very time consuming.

Color Coding for items not automatic
I do like that now it is possible to color code a category -- and thru the dashboard, choose to have that color to apply to all items in that category. HOWEVER -- if you add a new item to a category, it does NOT automatically become that color! You have to go back, every single time, and then click a bunch of stuff to make each new item your color. Duplicate firing
When an order is placed that is transferred to a different server the order gets fired a second time which causes confusion in the kitchen during busy periods.

This should be pretty simple, Add the option to choose more that one unit of each modifier option like Uber Eats
This option will allow multiple units of the same modifier option to be selected when ordering. Uber Eats already has this option.
E.g. our family pack comes with 8 drinks and 3 appetizers. at the moment the customer can choose the options they want but not the quantity. for example the can choose Diet Coke and Fanta which will result in us sending them 4 of each, If the want 2 Diet Cokes and 6 Fanta, they will have to write a note which is inconvenient.3 votes -
Selecting variants on Screen
Parent Items with Variants should show as single items (and not list all variants).
Parent Items with Variants should be allowed to be assigned to sales categories and reordered like other items within that category. Presently parent items with variants only show in 'all items'.
Order UI / Flow - When a parent item with variants is touched, the options within each variant should show (just like multiple modifier groups would), allowing the clerk to choose a single option within each variant group that results in adding the correct sales item to the order (receipt pane).

Cut Order Receipts after Individual Items/Diners
Clover used to have the ability to cut the order receipt on the kitchen printer after each Item in an order. We have multiple requests from merchants to bring this feature back, and/or update so that if they are using the Clover Dining/Table app to cut between each guest.

make entering the menus much more simplifed so you can use less buttons.
you should be able to use modifiers and items without having to use to many categories, modifiers and items. too much red tape. and to time consuming.

Make inventory count available for DoorDash Drive and DoorDash.
Please allow inventory counts for all items including the DoorDash Drive orders that appear in my orders app. My inventory is currently not affected by any DoorDash orders and it could easily be a big problem. Right now the only way to prevent selling a sold out item is to make the item unavailable for both clover online orders and DoorDash orders, which is unsatisfactory.

Separating Items Reporting by Category
Our facility offers different menus (categories) at different locations on the same property sometimes at the same time. When running reports, it would be helpful to differentiate which items were sold at which location. Currently, the reporting system will only indicate an item in the category where it was first programmed. For example, if bottled water is being sold in multiple categories, it will only report sales in one of the categories. Please advise if there is a solution for this. Thanks!
