Offline Payment printed on the Receipt
Hello,
I would like to confirm whether it is possible to display an indication for "Offline Payment" on merchant receipts when transactions are processed without a network connection on the Clover device. Currently, there is no specific indication when an offline payment is made, which may cause confusion for merchants.
Could you please verify if this can be implemented so that receipts clearly state "Offline Payment" in such cases? Your confirmation on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Invoices
When searching for invoices, whether in the online dashboard or on the Clover Go app, the selected invoice only gives the sent/due dates, customer name/email, and the subtotal. We need to be able to search for and see what was invoiced. This reporting feature is woefully vague. The only way to see what was invoiced is once it has been paid for which does no good for invoices that are still pending.

VARIABLE DISCOUNT

We need to be able to apply either
1. A variable discount to orders, or

Sales Tax on Exchanges
When a customer is exchanging an item of the same price, there should be a way to disable Sales Tax so that it is not re-added to the order. The customer already paid the sales tax when the original purchase was made. If tax is added to the exchange then the customer is paying same sales tax TWICE.

Tipping based per transaction vs. on total ticket amount
Hello,
It has become aware that when splitting a ticket for a group who would like to pay separately, it calculated the suggested tip amount based on the total ticket and not their individual portion. This has created awkward situations at the end of our guest experience, in which they assume we are asking for a much larger tip than appropriate, Especially if it is a large group over 4 people. This only seems to happen on the large Station model and not the handhelds. I will be shopping for other POS systems.2 votes -
Allow Cash as a tender type on Virtual Terminal
Merchant wants to be able to select cash as a tender type on Virtual Terminal. Currently VT only allows card or check which makes sending receipts to customers impossible when they pay cash.

Email Entry
Currently, the staff can find me as a user/contact and then place my order in order to auto-fill my email address when i make payment.
The problem is, the all the staff don't know me so i have to type my email all the time which is frustrating. Why not remember my details based on card details like other stores.

Refund items from transactions & fees attached
On the Clover Dashboard, you are able to go to a transaction and refund a specific item from that receipt, but there is not option to refund the taxes/fees or not. On the device itself, however, I cannot select a specific item within a receipt to refund, but when I manually type in the amount to refund, I AM given the option to refund taxes/fees or not.
We should be able to do identical processes with this on the device AND the dashboard. We want to track the specific items refunded, but we cannot do that without paying the credit…

Tax 2 assessed ontop of Tax 1
Many locations have unique tax requirements that require a Tax Rate to be assessed and then a second Tax Rate to be assessed on that total.
For example - Restaurant tax then sales tax. Example: 12.00 drink X 2.5% = .30, then 12.30 x 7% = .86, total bill is 13.16

Allow a category for recurring payments
It would be helpful to assign a recurring payment to a specific item. It would make inventory much easier to know where the recurring payment is for.

Feedback for Limiting Employees on Payments Plan
On the Feb 2025 roadmap call, Clover hinted that the number of employees on the Payments plan would be limited sometime during the second half of 2025 because that's what the competition does. PLEASE thoughtfully consider how this is executed as ISOs and Agents typically have employee sign-ins to merchants as Admins in order to provide a high level of support. A SuperUser view or permission for certain emails to be added outside of the employee "count" would be a solution.

Pre-Authorization Signature
I take Pre-Authorizations at my business as a for of deposit holding the rental equipment.
I would like to be able to have a signature pop-up for a Pre-Authorization authorizing that the customer will allow a transaction to be made on this pre-auth in the instance they do not return or return with rental equipment that has been damaged. Frequency & customization of email notifications for Recurring Payments
It would be great if the emails that are sent out for Reccuring Payments could be customized as well as choosing what is actually sent out. It currently sends out 4 emails in total: credit card added to customer profile, recurring payment amount, payment scheduled date and an email once the transaction was completed. This is too much and overwhelms customers. It would also be great to customize the email that is sent out - we would like to remove the French portion to shorten the length of the email as well as add our own details.

Virtual terminal emailed receipts
We were Moneris clients until recently, Moneris emailed receipt allowed you to add information like invoice numbers contained in the payment. Many of our clients have multiple locations and use one card to pay all of them. without that information they have to call or write us for help to reconcile the payment.....it creates more work for no reason. It would be useful to add a field for a string of a few characters.

Recurring Payment Failure
Occasionally a customers recurring payment will fail for various reasons, ISF, expired card, etc.
I originally set up Clover to automatically email receipts when payments were processed.
I have had an issue with Clover sending receipts that make it appear as though a payment was processed successfully when it actually failed to process. This is an issue, a BIG ISSUE.
I haven't been able to turn off AUTOMATIC RECEIPTS, except to change each customer, individually.
CLOVER IS SO MUCH MORE DIFFICULT THAN PAYEEZY. I'm not sure that CLOVER is a good option for our business.11 votes -
Extend Void and Refund timeframes for PIN Debit
Extend Void and Refund timeframes for PIN Debit cards. The current timeframe is 25 minutes for refund and 2-3 minutes for void. It is very frustrating when the choice to refund is cash or giftcard. We are a hospital and do not use those methods. It was also very frustrating that this information with the timeframes is not listed in any FAQ on the Clover site.
