Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  2. Online Ordering Frequency would allow you to edit/limit the frequency by which customers can place online orders through your Online Ordering platform. Essentially you as the merchant are able to set the number of orders that can be placed within a specific timeframe, like in 10 Mins, 30 mins, an hour, etc

    A lot of my smaller Clover Restaurants have limited capacity to how many orders they can make at a time so during their busiest hours its extremely helpful to have a feature that allows the merchant to mitigate receiving a high number of simultaneous orders by limiting how…

  3. Merchants I've spoken with mentioned that color-coding employees and extending this system to open bar tabs would simplify locating a server's tab, particularly during peak hours.

  4. Merchant would like to be able to change the order type in the Clover dining app. Currently, it only allows the change in the Register app. This can make the order printing process confusing as it shows both the section and order type on the order receipt.

  5. Dashboard: Cannot edit item quantities in bulk, only single edits allowed unless uploaded via spreadsheet which would require existing items to be removed to avoid duplicates on the newly imported file. When selecting bulk edit, please consider an option for quantity.

  6. Dashboard: When editing an item, all sections are collapsed automatically, majority edits consist of quantities/stock which are located at the very bottom, could we disable the auto collapse or re-arrange the position of those options (quantity/ stock)

  7. Orders shown on KDS should be able to snake around rather than having to scroll down. Right now they have to scroll down to see the entire order. That is not ideal for a busy restaurant They are switching from toast and they have the ability to see the entire order without having to scroll.

  9. Hi, I just want to know if there are any plans to offer a smaller customer-facing kiosk unit?

    The current one is nice, but too big/tall for stores with limited cash register space.

    Ideally, the kiosk would be big but not big enough that it takes up space needed to do a manual/cash transactions right in front of/above it. Essentially taking up the spot where Clover Minis are usually placed in a Clover Duo Station set up (i.e. a screen facing the customer with the POS right in front of it).

  10. When I select an item such as a latte I am then presented options such as milk type, syrups, temperature etc.

    The issue I have now if I select multiple of the same modifier such as vanilla syrup it prints out on the order ticket like this and can lead to very long order receipts:

    Latte ICED
    Oat milk
    Vanilla
    Vanilla
    Vanilla
    hazelnut

    ideally it would look like this:

    Latte ICED
    Oat milk
    3 x Vanilla
    1 x hazelnut

    Also, is there a way to where it only charges for the first modifier added but no extra as additional are…

  11. KDS - Multiple Courses - show all the courses and firing by prep time

    Different dishes has different prep time, therefore some 2nd course dishes need to be fired at the same time as 1st course dishes.
    Some items are fulfilled quickly and can end up getting cold (or warm) while waiting for service, and other items need more time. It slows service down.

  13. I have a huge problem with the clover kiosk. There are 2 payment options, Credit Card and Cash, but if you select the Cash option you have to wait for the Duo Station. Customers complain because their orders are delayed. Solution: After selecting the Cash option, the order must be printed on the order printer so as not to lose your place in the order queue.

  15. Tips received per credit cards and debit cards:

    In Ontario, we can deduct the credit card processing fees from the tip payments.
    We desperately need the details on the closeout report - Tips received per credit Card(MC, Visa, etc.) and debit card.
    The lack of this information cost us $400 per month in processing fees that we cannot recover and do not receive income.

  16. Customer wants their order receipts in their Clover Kiosk to show "PAY AT REGISTER" and "PLEASE TAKE THIS TICKET TO REGISTER AND COMPLETE PAYMENT" in Spanish since the merchant is located in Puerto Rico where the initial language is Spanish. It is creating problems for him since not all consumers know English and are disgusted with him because of the long wait. We need the merchant to be able to count on a system that does not create issues.

  17. Need ability to "Edit Menu Prices" for selected items not just the entire menu. We have a menu that is marked up by 30%. When I add a new menu item, it is not marked up and there is no way to do it, other than duplicating the item. Now you have 2 items to manage for 1 item. Ideally would like the "Edit Menu Prices" feature to be applied to only the selected items.

    Thanks for reaching out to Clover. We acknowledge your need and will review it. In the mean time, you may want to try this work around. When you add a new item into the menu (that already had a price adjustment), you can change the item price of only that item within the menu so that it is in par with your menu mark up price.

  18. No opening drawer ringing.
    This is the only register system I have ever seen (forty plus years in retail) that allows transaction to be rung while the cash drawer is open this is rife with issues. You cant' keep honest people honest if you don't have the single most basic physical base covered.

  19. I have a huge issue with the clover kiosk.
    some of my items has a lots of modifiers and it seems like on the kiosk they make a limit on how many modifires you can have which I think it is a programing mistake because we don't have this issue on the Due station so now my customers can not see all their modifiers options on the kiosk.
    second the All Item option on the kiosk has to be takin offfffffff pleeeeeeease it confuse the customers and it suppose to be just an option for the staff on the due…

  20. Under Transaction, an option is available to export Payments but the pre-configured report generated does not allow for user configuration/modification changes to capture additional data fields for data that is captured on the customer receipt.

    Additional fields required Item, Price, Categories, Modifiers.

    It seems a custom report is required but Clover Support can only suggest submitting request via User Voice instead of creating a support ticket. This should be an easy ask.
