Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Menu Management: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

2. Orders: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

3. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

4. Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

5. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

6. Kitchen Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers kitchen management software. 

7. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

8. Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

9. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

  2. Employees need to be able to have more than one role assigned. Again for accounting purposes. Every Restaurant has employees that work multiple roles. That way when I print out an employees hours to pay them Im able to see the role they clocked in as.

  3. Looking for a way that I can set up our Thanksgiving Dinner Special. We would like the customer to be able to preorder the meal online, but ONLY pick it up on Thanksgiving day.

  4. Currently the KDS will show all orders even the ones already expedited to the customer. Example
    I put in an appetizer for the customer of an order of Bruschetta. On the KDS the kitchen will touch the screen to say its ready and it is removed. 10 minutes later I place their main course and the KDS will show the Bruschetta (with a check mark) and the rest of the order. When a kitchen is busy you are now asking the kitchen to make sure they look for a check mark. This needs to be resolved where the item does…

  5. Add Extra Categories to the main category Ex:
    I have a category called (Coffee Bar) I need to be able to split this category into Cold Coffee and Hot Coffee then inside this categories comes the items and it is important to be this way instead of me have to set the Cold Coffee and the Hot coffee as Items and the coffee flavors as Modifiers because in this way I will loose the capability of adding photos to the coffee flavors on the Kiosk and the capability to specify each coffee flavor with it's own modifiers. or I have…

Online Menu on Google Suppose to be on the top of the online ordering list and it suppose to be named with the restaurant name, because our online list start with Grubhub and seamless and doordash then Order Clover so Order Clover has to be the first then it is better to call it with the restaurant name because a lots of customer does not know what Order clover means and they think it is another ordering company instead of knowing that is our direct online ordering especially that it has our original prices comparing to other online ordering companies…

  11. Posting 2 ideas that are needed
    1. I offer rolls, where each roll is $8. However if a patron purchases 2 rolls, i want to offer it for $15. The rolls (or any menu item), needs to have a combiner option to push through deals that pushes sales higher
    2. The menu also offers meals, which is a roll, fries and a drink (coke, sprite etc) for $12, i want to able to offer a customer to replace this drink with a milkshare for an additional $2, to get the total to $14. Again an upcharge oppurtunity to push sales…

  13. Customers need to be able to Get rewards for their Clover Kiosk purchase. Most Repeat customers are using the Clover Kiosk. ..I understand maybe not redeeming their free reward on the kiosk but at least get their points. I called clover support and they said that its not a feature at this time and to come here to post the suggestion/ request

  14. When someone orders a double, I’d like to be able to just double the price of the liquor selected. Since every alcohol has a different price, my only option is to make a unique modifier for every single bottle of booze, instead of just 1 modifier that has a variable price depending on the item being doubled.

I purchased 5 different terminals from Clover including a Clover Kiosk station, flex, duo, and minis only to find out that the pricing for the kiosk items are the same as what's displayed online. We charge different prices for online orders using clover integration with uber, door dash as these third party companies charge a huge cut. I do not understand why a kiosk that is processing orders instore have to be categorized with online orders and not with the pos such as the flex.   18. On the new clover kiosk, it should be an option to show the items on Kiosk instead of having to select the items to show online and to show on POS, the clover kiosk is at the business, and we would like to show our menu to our customers that are at the business.

  19. We are a brewery that sells many merchandise items, clothing, hats, sweatshirts, glassware etc. Of the items we sell: beers, cans of to-go beer, glassware, signs, growlers etc. we can add an inventory number to the item, which subtracts from the inventory when we sell that item. This works perfectly for our inventory tracking, showing the total number of the items still in inventory after each day.

    For clothing items this system is not helpful or useable as it will show the number of total shirts, not what is needed, the inventory number of each different size of the shirts.…

  20. Why did Clover take away the column for 'Online' in the inventory app on the device? Seems the only way to remove an item is now through the dashboard. This is not easier when a restaurant is busy. We need a way to remove (not just grey out and say "unavailable") a menu item from the online menu. It was there until a couple of months ago.
