There are a lot of ways to take a payment. Provide your ideas to help advance Clover’s payments acceptance process here. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Virtual Terminal: Provide all feedback on the Virtual Terminal in this category. How can we make this solution more useful for merchants?

2. Refunds/Exchanges: If you have any feedback on Clover’s refund or exchange functions please let us know here.

3. Recurring Payments: Share your thoughts on accepting recurring payments here. Tell us how we can improve.

4. Invoicing: Is there any functionality that can be added to our systems to enhance the invoicing feature? Put your ideas in this forum category.

5. Voids: How can we make voiding a transaction easier and simpler? Tell us your suggestions to improve this payment feature.

  2. Merchant would like the device to pre-auth the amount-- which it does-- but instead of charging the customer a separate amount, and then refunding them the pre-auth amount, he would like to have it just refund them the amount that was not used by the customer.

    Merchant explained that with the current way, it is causing his customers to call him thinking that they were double charged.

  5. Have the ability to assign a tax rate to a particular order type. Ex. the order type will be the different states they are doing services and within that order, the type will have that state tax applied once clicked

  7. Merchant wants to be able to print each guest separately when he selects spilt by items and not actually have to be taken to pay screen (print customers receipt before pay screen)
    Merchant also wants to be able to re-open the check once it has been completed and apply discounts

  10. Its great that clover will still collect payment information to charge when it goes back online -- but if it turns on the card didn't work for some reason then you're out of luck.

    Please have it so that if someone is choosing the credit card option while the system is offline that contact information must be entered in order to complete the transaction.

  12. We have a Clover Station 2018, and when the screen is flipped for a customer to provide a Custom Tip there's a lot of confusion after the customer enters the Tip amount. Can the green checkmark be made LARGER or a large DONE button inserted in lieu of the green checkmark?

  17. Change the tips section to pop up after the card has been run and before the signature.

    Or at least give the option to change the order.

    People are trained to hand their cards to the person behind the register and if its a card that swipes I have to just awkardly hold on to their card until they figure out the tip page.

    It's not intuitive the way its currently set up

  18. Merchant would like the ability to have or setup tax rates to order amounts. New tax requires have orders over 5000.00 be taxed at 6% and orders under 5000.00 be taxed at 7%

  19. I had old clover base station. It has Manual Transaction app on it.
    But, I bought new base station 2018. I went to app market to find and
    install. It not available.
    My restaurant still using old system to print bill. Then enter manually
    each transaction to charge for customers. With old base station was
    perfect. But newest base doesn’t have?
    Please make it! Now newest base station take to much time to do custom
    order and charge each time.

  20. Merchant called in because she processed a transaction with a pre paid card and the merchant did not have enough funds available and the payment printed a receipt as if the payment went through, merchant would like to receive a warning or any type of notification, advising her that the payment was not completed.
