Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. To Whom It May Concern:
    This week we received the hardware for our two Clover POS systems. The reason we chose Clover was in large part because it had an inventory management feature that would allow us to, at the push of a button, identify items that needed to be ordered based on levels we would set.
    However, during the configuration it came to our attention that this feature is not available at this time.

  2. Would like to have “blank” inventory items within a category, so that actual items can be displayed as needed. Otherwise everything is mushed together. I do not wish to add another category. For instance, I have a category with 9 items, but wish them to be displayed on three lines based on what they are, rather than mushed altogether on two lines. Thanks!

Respected Clover Development Team, We would like to request small customization on the Register screen which will be a huge help and will create a great impact on the Liquor Store industry to use Clover POS in their stores. Currently, the Liquor store industry needs an advanced cloud-based POS to increase their growth and better manage their stores.   4. With the inventory redesign, we've lost the ability to add a Revenue Class/Label when creating and adding a new item to the inventory. In the old version of inventory, we had a drop down menu called Labels that let us select our Revenue Class/Label. Now, we have to add the item and then go to Revenue Classes separately and then into the Revenue Class and then add the item to the Revenue Class. It was brought to my attention that a 10 location restaurant group would prefer to use Clover but has to use Toast because Clover doesn't have the capability of picking a modifier with another modifier to pop up once the first modifier was picked. This is important because if a Kabob restaurant has a combo plate where the customer gets to pick 2 sides. So the customer picks a greek salad and Hummus. There should then be a modifier that then would allow the employee to click on no onion and cheese on the salad but Clover doesn't allow for…

  7. The customer name has recently been added as an enhancement to the software - one merchant is requesting that the merchant be allowed to CHOOSE whether or not the name appears on the receipt with the credit card number

  9. For restaurants and other busy, high order environments, its important to be able to sort orders by order Status (Open, Paid, Partially Paid) This feature was eliminated with the last update and causing my clients grief.

  10. Employees need to have access to reports by tender type and currently only the admin people have it. I had this ability with my other system and was told that I would with this system. I do not want to pay more for this feature. I want the features I had for the same amount.

  11. When a menu item is out of stock, Clover Dining does not give the option to remove the ability for a server to continue ordering that item.
    Servers can still place the order causing many issues. Also, quantity on hand is not updated until an item is paid for - this does not help the issue when orders are held in the saved/orders app until a table is paid. This has caused many lost sales as we are a reseller for Clover

  12. The focus of a customer's online ordering page shouldn't be Clover's own branding and color scheme (imo). The Top banner has CLOVER with a giant GREEN banner. Green is NOT a good color for restaurants, and again, the focus should be on the customer brand/logo and the Clover name should have a reduced profile. It's about the customer. Make the BG color white, the Clover text black/neutral. This is small change but I think it's emotionally impactful for new merchants who see this page for the first time. The look, feel, and emotional resonance of our OLO, is falling short…

  14. Enable recovery or display of deleted orders. At the moment, if an employee or manager deletes an open order, there is no way to view or recover these orders....orders entered on prior days which were pending payment are lost when deleted with no recovery or record of the deletion..

  16. Please add back the "alternate name" section on dashboard! I use it for all of my products and it is highly inconvenient that it was removed and can now only be viewed through the excel spreadsheet. It makes no sense for it to not be on the management side of dashboard seeing as it was there for years without issue.

  17. Merchant would love an option to void an order once it has been fired to the kitchen, as they encounter issues from time to time with items in an order that need to be removed from the records

  18. There should be an “Order Type” option for online orders to “Pickup at Drive Thru Window”. Customers ordering for pickup at the window are confused with the limited options because they don’t want “in-store” or “curb-side” pickup which are the only options available now.

  20. I am a new Clover subscriber and while I am trying to set up a menu on the dashboard I was told I could not add item variant on dashboard but have to do it on the device. Isn't dashboard the most convenient place to edit and manage things while with the touch screen you do not even have a key board to type? Made me wonder are there more ridiculous design of the software of Clover.......
