Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Menu Management: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

2. Orders: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

3. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

4. Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

5. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more.   1. As a bookkeeper I have a request for an additional report that shows a monthly report with daily cash sales totals. My restaurant client makes daily bank deposits of the CASH they receive. I need to check if what they deposit matches with the cash sales according to Clover. If they deposited more or less than the actual cash sales then I need to record that in the books as cash over or short. Right now no such report exists so I have to look at each day, scroll down, write down the amount on a spreadsheet. Then the next…

  2. PLEASE bring back number of sales slips and net sales for each employee
    and option for individual employee's to have a single report for their own cash out.

  3. Currently, customers with international phone numbers cannot pay for their order when checking out in Clover Online Ordering. This is especially frustrating when you use the Clover Dining Table QR Codes. They put in their order, get all the way to end to pay, and it stops them, and they have to repeat entire order to a person. Please support international phone numbers for Clover Online Ordering or give us the ability to NOT require phone numbers.

  4. I need to be able to see items sold for a given time (1 week, 1 month, 2 months) on the same report as current quantity on hand in order to accurately order new product. We order beer, wine and liquor every week and need better reporting. I am spending hours to put two reports together when someone with programming skills could easily add this category to the current report.

  5. New updates do not make logical sense for restaurants. When managing items day to day, there generally is not time to log in to the dashboard, then go through all the steps (9 I believe), just to take an item off. Additionally most employees do not have access to the web dashboard. This creates issues with items being ordered that the restaurant is out of. It would be great if industry professionals were more involved before making changes that will untimately lose merchants.

  6. The chime that plays when an order is fired to the KDS is not loud enough. We turned up all the volume settings in the settings app, and with a noisy kitchen, it is very hard to hear. In some spots of the kitchen, I can't hear it at all. There also should be a way to change the type of chime that plays. Some chimes are easier to hear. I noticed in the settings app, you can change the chime type for notifications, but you cant for orders that fire to the KDS. Very disappointing. Hope its an easy…

  7. You recently discontinued the service plan we signed up for, and replaced it with a plan that removed a very important feature. Our servers would hold their cash sales and print a cash settlement report the end of their shift that automatically deducted their credit card tips from the cash they owed us. This was a very important feature we relied on, and you eliminated it right in the middle of a business day, with no warning. I recommend you reinstate this feature as soon as possible, or I'm sure many businesses will find other services.

  8. Ability to run a comparative report of servers to be able to measure detailed sales performance of each server:

    number of guests
    selectable date range
    sold entrees (count and gross dollars)
    sold appetizers
    sold liquor
    sold desserts
    display/filter on day of week
    display/filter on order entry time

  9. The sales report is displaying on the home screen of clover device. And our merchant don't want that. Could you please find a way to remove or hide it from the home screen.

  10. Restaurants NEED "NO" Modifiers ONLY to print in RED

    Currently we are told only ALL modifiers will print in RED

    YET other POS systems businesses are coming off of, allow to CHOOSE what will print in RED on Kitchen Orders ...

  11. From the register icon, if you choose delivery the prompt for address and telephone number should automatically pop up. There is never a time that you will choose delivery and not need the address. For restaurants that have younger employees-if they forget to ask for address information it creates big problems to retrieve that information.

  12. Currently modifiers don't roll up into cost of goods sold. Example: Steak dinner.

    Primary selection NY steak COGS $11.

    Modifiers of potato, salad, salad dressing, the cost of goods sold for these three modifier groups don't roll up into overall cost for the steak meal.

    Result in higher gross margin which is inaccurate.

  13. Servers should only be able to see their own report, have access to only their guest checks, only see sales for current day transactions. This is a security and privacy issue

  14. The clover inventory app should keep tracks of inventory coming in and going out. We want a separate option where employee can only add to the inventory system and cannot deduct without a verification code

  15. There should be a way or a program that let's you control your POS from a distance. I should not have to physically go into my restaurant to fix some minor issue with my POS that requires a Manager's passcode.

    Please Develop a program that let's me access my POS from a computer outside of my location or wifi connection. If I can connect to CloverGo from my phone, I should be able to connect my laptop to my Pos Solo or Flex.

  16. Currently, Clover Dining offers pre-auth for bar tabs, but if the pre-auth is greater than the order total, we have to pre-auth the card again to increment the pre-auth. Authorizations app has this functionality and better yet, once a card is pre-authorized, we can increment it without card present because the authorization is already saved, but it's no help because we need to manage out tabs and tables through Clover Dining.

  17. Issue: Missing Uber Eats Item Notes in Clover

    Problem:
    Customer item notes from Uber Eats do not appear in Clover, causing inefficiencies and forcing merchants to disable notes.
