Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. I have customers that orders months ahead because during Chinese New Years I have an insane promotion that because my restaurant is packed with online orders, people always order ahead. In other systems I can set it to allow orders to be ordered months ahead, I wish Clover has this same functionality

  2. Clover ONLINE needs to work WITHOUT Doordash AND ONLINE Menu needs ability to AUTO stop allowing Customers to order Breakfast items after a particular time ...

    Support Advised has to manually be done every day - Thats nuts ;-)

  3. With larger parties where an auto added , say 20% tip is added to the bill... Needs to be an option to add that under "TIPS" .

    Currently, the ONLY way to add an auto tip % to large parties bill is by adding it to taxes and fees ...
    BUT it is NOT a "tax" NOR a "fee"

    AND - Doing it as Clover only allows via taxes and fees...

    Means the large table tip auto added "DOES NOT" show up under Employees "TIPS" in "TIP REPORTS" at the end of the day - Makes for missing entering tips…

  4. Ability to choose the appropriate tax for the item at the moment of the transaction ,not by default. Right now we only can program taxes by defaults /items level but if the merchant only use a clover device for payment processing and have different tax rates like in Puerto Rico (City Tax, State Tax, Reduce tax - for certain items) at the moment of transaction they can not choose the tax

  6. In the Items list, I would like to change the default columns to suit the way we do business. Currenty, I have to remove unnecessary columns every time I look at a list. If I could check off what I want the defaults to be that would be a huge time savings.

  8. I need a report that allows me to see the stock count on items. If I could run it by Category, item type, or Vendor (if you would add a Vendor field to the item screen).

  10. On the items input screen, I would like a field to record the Vendor. It will help my staff when reordering product to be able to see the Vendor name. Also, I need to run reports by Vendor to keep track of sales and stock quantity.

  11. Currently our online store does not sync with our POS when there are low counts on items. It recognizes 86 or sold out items automatically but NOT counts. This is detrimental as we have orders coming through in real time both in store and Online. Meaning we often oversell items on line that are sold out- IE - We have 2 turkey sandwiches left but someone can order as many as they want online. Please fix this!

  12. Create a report to list when menu items are Manually turned off and not available for sale.

  13. Most restaurant merchants do Catering orders or Large orders that require at lease a day notice to fulfill. A Secondary URL for these type of orders and Item that
    will require more than the currant 90 Minutes time limit.

  18. The sales overview report does not display the device name when a device level report is run. Please add that to the printed report and identify All Devices on the report when that option is selected.

  19. I would like to see clover dining on Clover Go app so my wait staff can take the order at the table and send it directly to the kitchen. That would be an excellent upgrade seeing that it already has the clover dining on it but just to see the tables only.

  20. With the majority of orders coming in from online sources, it is difficult to maintain a good grasp of inventory. My restaurant serves alot of stews which cant be quantified by a number of servings. Being able to have a feature that would allow me to put an item(s) "out of stock" that would pull those items off the online channels (website, delivery companies) for a preset period of time, (2hrs, 4hr, 6hrs, next day) then it would reset to allow them to be available after that period, and easily accessible from the device would be extremely helpful.
