Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. Please add a clock to the KDS screens so the kitchen staff can always easily know what time it is just by glancing at the screens. My screen shows the time as a screensaver when it’s slow, but when we’re busy we just see the tickets with no way to know what the current time is.

    This is useful for rake/out orders that a setup for a specific pickup time. Example “Susan 7:15pm pickup” I should be able to look at the screens and have a small clock somewhere so I can easily keep track of time.

  2. When Applying discounts it discounts the whole ticket. We would like to be able to apply our military discount to just the veterans meal and not the whole ticket. Please and thank you!

  5. The primary Multi-Location user needs full grouping and group editing capabilities. For example, 17 open MIDs under one ISO with 3 MIDs in New York, 13 MIDs in Miami and 1 MID in Orlando. The user only sees 1 group titled by the MID of the HQ account with the chain code.
    so rather than
    x1234 (17) >
    the user can edit
    (no HQ or other non-processing accounts)
    (no closed accounts)
    (no accounts from non A1 Payment Processing)
    A1 Payment Processing (17) > (changes override all changes)
    Miami (13) > (changes only affect Miami MIDs)
    New York (3) > changes…

  6. Please add Clover Gift Cards as a tender option to apply the cash discount price. We want our gift card holders to pay the cash price

  7. can you add order number when customer place an online order? it will be easy to find customers order when we have a lot online orders.

  9. Add the cash rendered amount to the column header in Sales Activity > Transactions report so we can easily identify potential theft or expectations for the till at shift changes. Or offer the ability to customize the headers of the Sales Activity reports like we can with Inventory

  11. Need a option/process to track Courtesy/Spills in Restaurant/Bar environment to account and report for these items, with out it affecting the sales numbers on the reports. Once the order is open & printed to Kitchen/Bar and an event occurs to the order and it is declared a loss/spill or courtesy. The order will remain unpaid and declared a loss/courtesy, it needs to appear on daily report and be tracked weekly/monthly/annually for reporting to government agencies. Specially on liquor.

  12. Hello, with the situations with the restaurants, specially with mine, I am always short staffed for the past few months. This means, many customer calls are missed while our staff is serving dine-in customers. So, the idea is to route all the calls to our remote staff who can take all the orders from the customers and place the orders remotely via clover app. This way, if the customer calls are handled, then the staff onsite can take care of the dine-ins. I understand there few prep works and coordination needed, but that's doable than loosing the business itself

  13. On the printed Order Receipt/ Expo Receipt, please allow us to modify the header, so that it doesn't just say "Clover Online Shopping Pickup." We attach these receipts to customer orders, so would like to be able to put our brand name (and logo!) on the header.

  14. We have employees that are seasonal. (they are in college during the fall and spring) but work for us in the summer and on breaks.

    We would like the ability to make the employee inactive so that they are not listed when we are trying to do things like
    -filter by employee when in transactions
    -trying to move a table to another employee
    -...

    To have to delete the employee and then re-add (having to enter all their information again) them when they come back is inefficient and a pain. Whereas, if we were able to just change a field…

  15. Currently, "description" is supposed to already included for export/import but that is not the case. Additionally, pictures is not an option. However, there is much more data that should be included with data transfer, that could be optional by the account owner. Make everything available and optional for export/import - including the current state (at the time of export) of each item.

  17. When a server fires their order, rather than the computer closing the table out, but leaving the server logged in and on the dining room floor plan screen, we should be able to turn on a function that logs the server out entirely. When you have 8-10 servers running around and someone forgets to log out, it's easy for someone else to start ringing their order under another person's name. Servers often forget to lock the computer when they're done, so this issue is fairly common.

  18. Every morning we audit tips entered in the TIPS app by the staff. This is insure that customers are not over charged by a misentry as well as any tips that maybe left unentered.

    Starting on the business day of 6/10/2025, the app was changed from (trying to work the logic backwards) being sorted by the time the transaction was started which kept sequential descending transaction numbers to a sort by the time in which the transaction was closed. This new sort throws the transaction numbers out of order. This is opposite of the workflow that has been in place…

  19. Allow users to remove information from the Station Duo main screen. It shows the daily sales tally and I don't want my employees to know that information.
