Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. Requiring an extra kitchen receipt printer in order to print kiosk orders at the counter can be a deal breaker for fast service, compact shops like specialty coffee shops. Currently, the kiosk cannot print to the receipt printer attached to the Station Duo. In order to print remotely (the only order printing that makes sense for a kiosk), one must purchase a separate kitchen printer and set that up to receive orders.

  2. Clover ONLINE needs to work WITHOUT Doordash AND ONLINE Menu needs ability to AUTO stop allowing Customers to order Breakfast items after a particular time ...

    Support Advised has to manually be done every day - Thats nuts ;-)

  4. Currently our online store does not sync with our POS when there are low counts on items. It recognizes 86 or sold out items automatically but NOT counts. This is detrimental as we have orders coming through in real time both in store and Online. Meaning we often oversell items on line that are sold out- IE - We have 2 turkey sandwiches left but someone can order as many as they want online. Please fix this!

  5. There is currently no way to quickly determine the restaurants (or individuals) sales break down for Food and Liquor. This information (liquor sales) would be useful for servers at the end of each shift to determine the amount they must tip out the bartenders. Additionally, this information would be extremely beneficial for the restaurant to determine sales of periods (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly). There has to be a better way to do this, than continuing it on our fingers or with scrap paper. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

  6. Merchants need to be able to see the cash deposit totals by employee on their POS and not just via the dashboard. Currently, the POS shows cash deposit totals - but not by employee.

    The cash deposit totals by employee are visible in the dashboard and so this should be accessible via the POS as well.

    This is important for employees and their manager when checking cash deposits at the end of their shifts.

  7. I have a merchant using xxxx that is interested in Clover. They are not going to move forward with Clover, because they need the ability to pull up an order simply by swiping/inserting the card that they have on file for the bar tab/pre-auth. This is a music venue/bar that gets very loud, and therefore they need the ability to pull up an order without needing to communicate with the customer over loud music. If Clover could implement this, they would 100% move.

  8. Inventory currently has the ability to have labels and categories when sending it to an assigned kitchen printer. It would be very helpful if we could also give each item a "priority" in which it is printed on the ticket.

    If a customer wanted to turn on a feature that allowed them to also give those items a priority would make things much smoother in a kitchen that only has a single kitchen printer.

    For example:

    Inventory items currently have the ability to be categorized. When assigned to a category, you can also assign a Priority level.

  9. Dayparts is currently applicable to "In Store (POS devices)" only. Make Dapyparts applicable to Online Ordering and 3rd Party Ordering (Doordash, GH, UE etc).

    This will enable to have menus available at specific day/time for online ordering too, in line with the In Store (POS devices) that's available currently.

  10. When we take catering order via phone or email or even in-person, we need the ability to specify the date and time of the delivery or pick-up, and this can be in the future a few days or a few week later.

    Additionally, if we can also have an option to specify up the prep date, that will be helpful, so, the orders can show up on top of the order list and print the kitchen ticket, on the day of the preparation.

  12. MODIFIERS: ADD COSTS SO WE CAN GENERATE ACCURATE PROFIT REPORTS!!!

    As of now, we can only add a cost to an item. If someone wants to change a size, add an ingredient, etc that costs extra, we have no way for that to reflect on the cost of the item which makes the profit reports useless. I was told that the only work-around is to turn every single modifier into an item button, which would be incredibly tedious and will not work for a busy cafe.

  13. We recently added Scan to Pay at our location. The feature is receiving positive feedback from both staff and guests. However, the QR code only prints when printing a full table bill. No QR code prints when splitting the check. The QR code was a plus for me, as an owner, because we do a TON of large groups with split checks and this speeds up efficiency in check out: potentially reducing future labor costs.

    We have a work around for now, but it's clunky and time consuming. For any other full service restaurant owners facing this issue, we are

  16. It would be helpful to be able to assign a different default order type to each register rather than having to choose the order type every time. For example, a drive thru register could be set to Drive Thru as a default order type to help minimize mistakes in the kitchen.

  17. Hello-

    I'm working with a Cafe that is requesting a feature to print individual item tickets to the Order Printer. IE: Ring up a Latte & Espresso. Right now they print together to the order printer. They would like the Latte to print one 1 ticket, and the Espresso to print on the next.

    For cafes this feature would be instrumental as they would be able to serve the coffees with the matching individual Order ticket, as opposed to the entire order ticket.

  19. The printer setup needs a setting to be able to have each Item print out separately instead of having them all print on one bill and adding a line below each print. There is an APP name smart print that allows you to do that on the clover app Market but that APP has way too many bugs.

  20. Most of the top level restaurant per terminals have the ability to press a button to add or remove and that will bring up a pop-up option for different add-ons. This is what we need.
