Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. During shift change between my AM Barmaid and my PM Barmaid there is about a 30-45 min overlap in which they are both behind the bar. The AM Barmaid is closing out her customers getting them to pay their bill while the PM Barmaid is taking on all of the new customers who have just walked in. Nobody at this end of your system wants two sets of hands in the till because it opens us up for problems and lots of finger pointing when the numbers don't agree with the end of shift report.   2. The clover inventory app should keep tracks of inventory coming in and going out. We want a separate option where employee can only add to the inventory system and cannot deduct without a verification code

  3. Currently, the Epson printer connection with the Clover POS does not allow us to limit printing to only to-go orders or online/mobile orders. As a result, labels are being printed unnecessarily, which leads to wasted supplies.

    We would love to explore adding this functionality to the integration, as it would help streamline operations and eliminate the need for additional labels going to waste.

    Please let us know if this is something that can be supported now or considered for future enhancements.

  4. We need to be able to "rename' in the Clover Dining App tables/tickets that have multiple guests. This will help us:

    1) Make a personal connection
    2) Identify which guest ordered what
    3) Simplify the billing process when we go to collect payment

  5. There is interest to create a completely contactless ordering & payment experience by being able to open a running tab with payment pre-authorization via QR Code. The customer seats themself, scans the QR code on the table to view the menu, adds the items they would like for their first round to their order, they insert their payment information to start their tab and send their first round to the bar/kitchen, the tab stays open so the customer can keep ordering without completing the transaction, once they are ready to leave they close their tab/tip from their personal device and…

  6. We have teenage volunteers using the clover machines to raise charity for poor families, it's a wonderful Machine, however some of the teenagers are playing around with the camera and gallery app, taking videos with it, they managed to upload movies with adult content on it!!, as of now there is no way how I can lock down the machines from this happening, please advise, I had this problem by clover flex and clover pocket, didn't check your other machines

  7. Need feature for directly pushing clover go orders to printers.

    I am taking orders from outside the restaurant using call forwarding when my team is busy! I am able to save the orders but i have to call someone at the restaurant and they will the order and push to the printer…!

    They will be busy and missing printing which leads to delayed orders and customer grievances…!

    You guys are giving that feature to third parties like doordash, uber eats, grubhub, stream.. etc.! Why cant you donit from your own app

  8. Allow certain items to Sync together…. For example… my client has 5 bottles of red wine, he stated about 4 glasses equals a bottle. On the menu his servers either sell by glass or sell by bottle. We want the option to be able to input 5 quantity on the bottle items but when you sell that same bottle by the glass in a different category,automatically deduct a portion of his choosing (in this case .25) on the bottle quantity category.

  9. The dayparts for menu visibility on the Clover Station Duo, Clover Solo, Mini, etc. works great, however, the dayparts do not apply to the Kiosk, which seems like a weird oversight. We need the ability for the dayparts to also apply to the Kiosk menu visibility.

  10. We just got dayparts for our cafes, we have breakfast and lunch menu. I need customers to be able to place future orders for lunch even though at that time of day we are serving breakfast. Dayparts does not work for online ordering if there is no function to order lunch for a future date/time.

  13. Ability to select a modifier multiple times on the Clover Kiosk like you can do on the Clover Station Duo.

    This is relevant for QSR locations like coffee shops, bubble tea and dessert locations where a modifier can be selected up to 5x times. There can also be 30+ modifiers in these types of QSR locations.

  14. Numerous clients ask for this functionality and it's becoming more and more of an ask. The ask is for menu boards on TVs/monitors to be connected to the Clover, ideally in real-time. Not only for pricing and product updates but also for current availability of items/modifiers as well. All new QSRs use menu boards...it would be great if we could have some sort of integration. TY

  15. Owner needs to be able to manage users and their permissions. User list should show users already created at individual locations. The permissions need to override those at the individual location. This prevents or allows individual locations to edit menus.

  16. Need the ability to re-order the modifier groups within the item. It's too difficult to re-order all of the modifiers for each item if the merchant has 30+ modifier groups. For example the merchant needs the required modifiers to show before the others in the item.

  17. It would be clearer to online ordering end-users if the Clover Online Ordering website showed the Order type (in-store pickup, delivery, curbside) listed as radio buttons rather than a drop-down so that end-users can clearly see all of the available options before hitting the checkout button. Currently, they may not realize that delivery or curbside pickup are available unless they know to click the drop down.

  18. When we’re in the ITEMS list, we can only sort by name. We organize our items by SKU, so it would be nice to have the ability to sort by any column. Additionally, we’d like to be able to rearrange the columns. We prefer the SKU to be the first column for referencing, so it would be great if we could drag the columns to change the order.

  19. We would like if there was a way to have pop-up prompts come up before moving on to certain fields like asking the customer count before food ordering or ringing out! This has become important to us to have because by example the restaurant is all you can, missing inputting the customer number count can greatly affect business, what will happen is that the employee will move onto orders or payments with out filling this out, so maybe only one person of a table of six will be charged! So we want prompts that come up just asking to confirm…

  20. Allow a configurable delay for firing to the Kitchen Printer when the option to print when Save or Pay is tapped to allow for declined payments.
