Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

  1. Enable printing the dining table name on the credit card payment receipt's merchant copy. This is helpful to the merchant as their servers share tips with the chefs at tables from certain dining rooms. This feature was available in the previous version, but is no longer available after replacing the Clover Station.

  2. We need to be able to "rename' in the Clover Dining App tables/tickets that have multiple guests. This will help us:

    1) Make a personal connection
    2) Identify which guest ordered what
    3) Simplify the billing process when we go to collect payment

  3. Allow prices (VIA modifier) to be increased by a percentage vs flat dollar amount. For example, double liquor drink orders, etc.

  4. There is interest to create a completely contactless ordering & payment experience by being able to open a running tab with payment pre-authorization via QR Code. The customer seats themself, scans the QR code on the table to view the menu, adds the items they would like for their first round to their order, they insert their payment information to start their tab and send their first round to the bar/kitchen, the tab stays open so the customer can keep ordering without completing the transaction, once they are ready to leave they close their tab/tip from their personal device and…

  5. Dayparts is currently applicable to "In Store (POS devices)" only. Make Dapyparts applicable to Online Ordering and 3rd Party Ordering (Doordash, GH, UE etc).

    This will enable to have menus available at specific day/time for online ordering too, in line with the In Store (POS devices) that's available currently.

  6. We have set up the DoorDash Drive Clover integration, and it works fine. But, the only tip option on the order checkout screen from the customer view is "Tips For Delivery Person". Tips go to the Dasher. The in-store employees who prepare and package the orders are not receiving any tips. Clover support was unable to assist with this.

    Is there a way to add another tip option for customers to give our employees a tip on their order?

  7. The inventory export/import spreadsheet includes a description for Revenue Class but the Items tab does not include the column. I can add the column and successfully import Revenue Class, but there is no way to export the revenue class. Please fix this error.

  8. Business owners should be able to name the batch per the location. Client gets the same report for 5 locations, easier to identify if he can name the batch per loaction.

  9. Merchants would like to be able to automatically print to several order printers without the use of kitchen labels. Currently, if there are multiple printers, it has them select which to print to and manually reprint the order label if an additional copy is needed.

  10. Ability to add different Service Charges percentage for Clover Dining with detail report individual subtotals.
    This option of having more that one Service Charge is already implemented for some merchants, but the only problem is that in the report it is showed as the total of the Service Charges, not the individual subtotal for each one of the service charges. Also, this option of more that one Service Charge, must be implemented an offered for all the merchants. This is very important and urgent.

  11. We need the ability to add a customer to an order even after it is closed. Currently, if the order is completed, we are not able link the order to a customer. So, we are missing the ability to see customer history.

  12. Cash transactions need to be included on server reports as well as closeout reports from the device display and printout.

  13. Need to be able to control which discounts are available per job code.

    Currently the discount permission is all or nothing. Meaning, a employee can either have the ability to discount or not discount.

    We are requesting the ability to assign discounts to certain job codes so that they can have access to some but not all discounts.

    It currently is all or nothing.

  14. Reorder Recommendation for POS Customer App

    To enable fast and convenient reordering in the customer app, the POS should support Reorder Last Order, Order History with Edit, and Saved Orders. Customers can quickly repeat a previous order with one tap, make necessary edits such as quantity or item changes, and place the order without starting from scratch. New orders can be saved as favorites for future quick ordering.

  15. MODIFIERS: ADD COSTS SO WE CAN GENERATE ACCURATE PROFIT REPORTS!!!

    As of now, we can only add a cost to an item. If someone wants to change a size, add an ingredient, etc that costs extra, we have no way for that to reflect on the cost of the item which makes the profit reports useless. I was told that the only work-around is to turn every single modifier into an item button, which would be incredibly tedious and will not work for a busy cafe.

  18. When commencing an oreder in the takeaway section of the dining app, i then have to add guest numbers and then hit takeaway again for order type, if not it defaults to dine in. once you have added an item it can not be amended. this step is counter intuitive as you have aleady initiated the order in take away and should not be necessary

  20. You can choose on "tap pay" or on "invoice print" but not on completed transaction. This make no sense. when i tap pay then the customer changes their mind i go back and change the item but the docket is already printed and the meal being prepped. Should have a print docket triggerred by on completed transaction.
