Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. The app made by Clover, called Order Inspector, does NOT support the Clover Kiosk or the Clover Flex. We are asking Clover to make Order Inspector available on the Clover Kiosk and the Clover Flex that are widely used devices.

    This is the only App made by Clover, available on the Clover App Marketplace that allows you to view, print and email a report of all orders for your own records or for external auditors.   2. On the new clover kiosk, it should be an option to show the items on Kiosk instead of having to select the items to show online and to show on POS, the clover kiosk is at the business, and we would like to show our menu to our customers that are at the business.

  3. When running Sales Overview reports there needs to be a way to choose multiple employees at once to export, so they are in one file and separated into different tabs. Currently I have to run individual reports for each employee then combine them into one Excel spreadsheet so they're on their own tabs.

  5. Is it possible on the order receipt to have Surcharge information available. With a sit-down restaurant without a handheld device, the order receipt is presented to the customer and then payment is taken. Having the transparency to have the surcharge amount on the receipt to show the total after the surcharge, so the order receipt presented to the customer and the payment receipt when surcharge applies alligns

  6. "Print Menu QR Code" just appeared in our register options dropdown today. We will not use that and would like to be able to remove it from the options.

  7. Hello ~

    My issue is I need a report for my employees end of shift report to print out the number of transactions they had for their shift. This was available before Wed April 24, 2024. The report had the subtotal of all cards (not detailed cards though) and then the tips separately, so the employees had to add these numbers together to get their total of their cards and tips.

    Since the update April 24, 2024, they add together the amounts now, but do not give the number of transactions made so they can count up their physical copies.…

  8. Change item quantities during orders -Currently, for all devices except Clover Flex, we can use the QTY Quantity bar at the top of the screen. Please enable this feature on Clover Flex as well. Businesses want to use Flex to take orders at the table and entering the same item multiple times is inconvenient -not functional during a dinner rush.

  9. Merchants need the ability to make changes to one device that does not impact other devices on the same MID.

    This impacts a lot, so I am sure there are dozens (maybe hundreds) of other clover update requests that are encompassed in this

    Examples:
    - Retail, Clover mini has local city tax rate, but the Clover go for Travel shows can have their own city tax rate
    - Restaurant, Clover station signs on receipt, but the Clover flex does sign on screen

    PRO - Merchant would have more precise and dynamic control of their systems

  10. Order receipt DOTTED LINE format option doesn’t work with Star 700 kitchen printer.
    When using the Large Font along with the dotted lines, the dotted lines wrap to two lines instead of only one.

  11. Needs real running timer showing from the table layout for an efficient operation. There are many AYCE restaurants with time limits, currently Clover Dinning app only indicates tables in red at certain preset time and servers need to click each table to check the actual running time or they need to login to web dashboard to check entire tables timer at once. Thank you.

  12. Allow orders fulfillment time to last longer than 1 hour. Half of my tabs disappear, when I switch to fulfillment time from order placement time. And a lot of time is wasted keeping receipts in order.

    Would be much easier if receipts printed in order from fulfillment time, instead of order place time

  13. Until around mid-April 2024, it was possible to view a tips breakdown in the Employee Sales report on the Clover POS devices. The total tip amount for each employee was broken down into "DoorDash Dasher tips" and "Employee tips". "DoorDash Dasher tips" are tips left by customers for online orders delivered through DoorDash Drive, while "Employee tips" are tips actually received by the employee for dine-in orders. It is no longer possible to view this information on the Clover device itself, and accessing the Dashboard is now the only way to view the tips breakdown. I am not sure why…

  15. When adding descriptions for online items if you type anymore than 60 characters the description flows into the space between items. You can use even less characters if your item name is long or you add a picture. For ease of reading while on a mobile device the constraints in which a description can fit per item would ideally be increased. Or font sizing would help to mitigate this. Is this something that is in the works of implementing?

  16. We have a 3rd party running our food & beverage. They need access to enter inventory and pull reports. I'd like to have an option that they have access to just food & beverage categories as opposed to seeing our full facility sales

  18. In the order screen, there is nothing to tell the server which order is the one they are looking for. There is no table number nor anything about the subject matter of the order. If we could add a column stating this information it would be greatly appreciated. If necessary, you could replace the column labeled ID/Notes as these numbers are simply gibberish (no offence intended) to us at this end of your system.

  19. The chime that plays when an order is fired to the KDS is not loud enough. We turned up all the volume settings in the settings app, and with a noisy kitchen, it is very hard to hear. In some spots of the kitchen, I can't hear it at all. There also should be a way to change the type of chime that plays. Some chimes are easier to hear. I noticed in the settings app, you can change the chime type for notifications, but you cant for orders that fire to the KDS. Very disappointing. Hope its an easy…

  20. There should be a way or a program that let's you control your POS from a distance. I should not have to physically go into my restaurant to fix some minor issue with my POS that requires a Manager's passcode.

    Please Develop a program that let's me access my POS from a computer outside of my location or wifi connection. If I can connect to CloverGo from my phone, I should be able to connect my laptop to my Pos Solo or Flex.
